Ditsum Hideaway
Make your way to the glorious River Dart and the beautiful surrounding countryside, where you will find Ditsum Hideaway ('Ditsum' is the local abbreviation of Dittisham, our nearby waterside village). This deluxe, high quality, eco-friendly escape is just perfect for a tranquil holiday with three of your favourite people, with plenty of south Devon adventures within easy reach too.
Step inside to discover the superbly appointed and luxuriously decorated open plan living space. The stylish kitchen-area has everything you'll need for rustling up a feast along with a beautiful dining space, a sumptuous mustard yellow corner sofa and a cosy wood-burner, rounded off perfectly with captivating views across the countryside and the tidal River Dart. You're sure to spend many an hour simply gazing out at those views… The attention to detail doesn't stop there, you'll even find lovingly chosen local art from Dartmouth based Bert and Buoy on the walls.
There are two gorgeous bedrooms to choose from. Bedroom one is pretty in pink, with a 'zip and link' bed, which can be made up as a super-king or a twin. Bedroom two has an opulent super-king bed, with glass doors for more of those wonderful country views. There's also an en suite shower-room with gorgeous deep blue tiles and a spacious shower. Bedroom one has use of the gorgeous shower-room.
Outside there's a fabulous, sheltered decking area, with a dining-table and chairs, a great spot for al fresco breakfasts, suppers and evening drinks. There's also a barbecue, perfect for cooking up a feast on a warm summer's evening.
Ditsum Hideaway's eco credentials are rather impressive. The Hideaway has been crafted from sustainably sourced red cedar with a sedum roof to encourage wildflowers and wildlife, and there are ground source heat pumps and electric car charging points installed. The owners have put in place a number of initiatives to protect the local environment, including creating over 350 metres of habitation for bats and other wildlife, planting trees and a range of native plant and native wildflower species to provide for bees and other wildlife, and conserving a badger set.

Mr Tregoning
A very comfortable and well thought out cabin in a marvellous spot. The view over the Dart was magical so we just sat and gazed!
Mr Brann
We had a fantastic week. The view from our lodge was amazing. Very comfy beds and well equipped with everything u could want.
Ms Hulett
As we were bringing my MIL I wanted somewhere extra special with a view so there was no need to go out if we didn’t want to. This lodge was perfect in that regard. With food from the farm shop and the view we were happy to eat in most evenings. Interiors were fab, a real wow factor. Location. Perfect peace. So much to do within a 5 mile radius. Good local pub. A couple of negatives: the bedroom got really hot. We left the sliding doors open at night. Take an eye mask(I always do anyway) if the light disturbs you. There is no blind on the door to the decked area. There are no comfy seats to put on the grassy area in front of the lodge. We ended up buying beach chairs which we needed anyway. I understand not wanting to clutter up the lovely grassy area with stuff but the metal dining chairs are not very comfortable. No doubt we will return.
Mrs Buckland
This is a fabulous property with fantastic views to the River Dart. Comfortable and warm with contemporary interior. Great walks on the doorstep. Would have been good to have some outdoor lounge furniture to sit and enjoy the lovely views…only negative.
Mr Graver
The location and the standard of the properties, do not fail to deliver. Attention to detail is apparent and quality of product. We cannot recommend enough.
