Excellent location and great local grown winter veg!
Mrs Willcox
such a lovely property, has absolutely everything you need, perfect location in the garden for a BBQ with beautiful views. Would 100% recommend.
Mrs Vincent
Just had the loveliest week staying at Ferrycombe, a beautiful cottage with AMAZING sea views. The cottage itself is spacious and has everything you need, perfect for the dogs too with the utility room area. Bedding and beds are extremely comfortable and high quality. Views from upstairs are breathtaking come rain or shine. Walking to the beach is through lovely coastal foot paths and takes about 15 minutes, when the tide is out the expanse of beach is vast and dog friendly too. All in all a fab place to enjoy south Devon, can't wait to book up again!
Mrs Keene
Wonderful location and great facilities. Close to a lovely beach and wonderful Devon countryside.
Mrs Russell
The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. The proximity to the beach was a huge plus for our fishing addicted husbands. The small garden was a lovely sun trap in the afternoon
Mr Green
This cottage was the best we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many over the years. Derek and Trudy Green
Mrs Miller
Our second visit to Ferrycombe and certainly won't be our last. The location couldn't be more perfect, 10-15 minute walk down to the beautiful beach with great cafe and surf school. Ferrycombe itself is a lovely property, comfortable, spacious and has everything we needed and more for our week there. We had a couple of issues during our stay with the toilet and washing machine both of which were resolved very quickly and efficiently by the company who look after the property. Can't wait to return.
Mrs Hodge
A lovely cottage but on the description for the cottage says the beach is 'moments away', it is at least a 15 minutes walk down a very steep hill and even longer coming back. The beach you can see from the window is a 10 minute drive away.
Mrs Miller
We had a wonderful week at Ferrycombe. Perfect location for walking to the beach which is dog friendly (some restrictions from May to Oct). Great cafe on the beach and surf school to hire equipment. Ferrycombe itself is so well equipped and presented with everything we needed during our holiday. We will definitely return.
Mrs Andrews
Loved Ferrycombe! Would recommend. Great cottage in a fab location. We had a great week and so did our miniature schnauzer!
Mrs Luck
We enjoyed our stay but paid for a week and left after 4 days. Not enough to do especially as views restricted at barn. We returned home to Cornwall where there was far more to do for the remainder of our week - so many more beautiful places to visit, easier to get provisions and far more choice of places to eat.
Mrs Wright
Views and walks to die for and straight from the door. Do stop at Holywell stores on the way to stock up. It’s a community run venture and was really well stocked. Plus don’t miss the community run tea rooms at Bigbury on Sea. Stunning views and delicious cakes/light lunches.
Miss Sloan
We recently stayed at Ferrycombe, we like the cottage it was just as we expected, the front garden is a little larger than we had expected which was good and a lovely place to relax in at the end of the day. The cottage is well equipped and very clean and welcoming. The location is great and the view is wonderful, if you like walking, swimming, surfing you will like Bigbury on Sea.
Mrs Hawkins
Loved our week and the location is so good. We were blessed with good weather and buying fresh cauliflower and veg from the Farmer was a delight.
Mrs Goddard
Stunning location, with views that are hard to tear yourself away from. Well equipped and very comfortable cottage. Beautiful walks directly from property. A great holiday home for all ages and dog friendly too. We had a wonderful stay, a highlight being taking the barbecue to the beach for summer solstice and watching the sun set behind Burgh Island with the family, magical! We would have no hesitation in recommending Ferrycombe.
Mr Broadhurst
We have stayed at many different cottages over the years, have to say that Ferrycomb is definitely the most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. A real home from home . Thank You to all the team at Classic and special thanks to Elaine who made us feel so welcome.
Mrs Walker
An attractive and well equipped comfortable cottage with sea views. It’s location is elevated and there are excellent walks. These can be quite steep! It is not a location for someone looking for the highlife but perfect for peace and tranquillity.
Mrs Marston
Very comfortable with amazing views! It is a narrow road (with passing places) to Bigbury on Sea especially difficult when there is a sea mist
Mrs Taylor
Lovely cottage with beautiful views and very close to wonderful beaches
Ms Ajimal
It’s all about the location! The views from the lounge are jaw dropping. The garden is a lovely peaceful oasis. Walks in both directions as you come out of the drive area. The open plan living kitchen space is great for being together whilst preparing meals. A lovely holiday home!
Miss Bush
Ferrycombe is a lovely, well appointed cottage, with great views of the sea. It is spacious and tastefully decorated with a pretty garden. Our second visit! Perfect little garden if the weather is good but could do with a parasol! Would certainly come again. Had a fabulous meal at the Oyster Shack, nearby, and would certainly recommend.
Mr Boyer
Ferrycombe exceeded our expectations, beautifully presented with picturesque views.
Mrs Lee
Beautiful location with walks from the doorstep. Property is at the top of a hill, next door to a working farm which also has a small stall outside selling some produce for example cauliflowers and cabbages. If you want to walk down to Bigbury on Sea then walk over the road from the property into a field and it’s a straight safe walk away from the road. Otherwise you can park at Bigbury on Sea, currently 12.00 per day. The beach goes out a long way and is fantastic for family holidays and you can walk over to Burgh Island. Down by the beach at Bigbury are two cafes a small shop and a surf school but nothing else. On Burgh Island there is a pub. If you want a truly relaxing holiday, away from it all then this is the place and property for you, and of course, it’s dog friendly.
Mr Hattersley
Pictures of the property don't really do it justice. Lovely walk from the farm just outside the property. Fourth property we've rented from Classic now - and ever one of them has been 11 out of 10 for location, comfort and quality.
Mrs Tillotson
We had a wonderful stay at Ferrycombe Cottage. The cottage is in a lovely location, close to the beach and with stunning views of the sea. The cottage was clean, well equipped and attractively furnished. You can drive or walk to the beach, and it is ideal for families, with shallow water and wide sandy beaches. There is a cafe, toilets, shower and a surf school with kayak hire. An ideal location for a holiday.
Mrs Fitzgerald
Ferrycombe was a sweet well equipped, spacious cottage with lovely views and easy location. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to others.
