Mr Marrow
This is a gem of a place close to plenty of walks all mod conns car essential as taxis are unreliable but other than that all our party loved it would recommend to anyone
Ms Arlington
Away from it all yet easy to get to the coast either for beaches or a coastal walk, and right on the edge of Dartmoor. The underfloor heating meant the cottage was lovely and warm. Ashburton is worth going to, only 10 minutes away, - eat at Rafkis, a great experience.
Mrs Laming
A really lovely cottage, comfortable, well equipped, quiet location. Ideal for exploring Dartmoor. We will definitely stay here again.
Mr French
Probably the nicest cottage we have stayed in. Perfect location. Lovely to hear the owls at night. So quiet & relaxing. The table tennis went down well. Especially on a rainy day. When we win the Lottery we would move there permanently ! Great for easy travelling to Dartmouth, Salcombe, Plymouth & Dartmoor. Hoping to return very soon.
Mr Buck
Simply Stunning! The three of us had an amazing week at Owlacombe Bridge Cottage. We were greeted by the Owner upon arrival and showed around this incredibly characterful property that has been lovingly restored. Fixtures & Fittings were of the highest quality throughout and made for an extremely enjoyable stay. Place was spotlessly clean upon arrival. We all slept well, with brilliant quality mattresses and linen. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would require. Location is so peaceful and quiet, with a large gate to keep little ones safe in the garden. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property and would definitely return if was holidaying in North Devon.
Mrs Hercules
Wow! This property was absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Lovely welcome pack with fresh flowers on arrival. All the furnishings & fixtures were high spec. It was immaculately clean throughout. The lighting was a special feature with various settings. Attention to detail was very impressive. Everything we could possibly need in the kitchen for cooking every day and also baking , which my girls enjoyed. Beds were super comfortable. Despite the cold weather, we were nice and cosy inside with the log burner & underfloor heating. Lovely outside space - very isolated and tranquil. Stars at night were awesome and an added bonus was that my daughter could still star gaze from her bed at night, through the velux window in her bedroom. My husband and son enjoyed the table tennis in the garage. Would definitely like to return here in the future.
Mrs Thomas
Lovely cottage, so quiet and and relaxing, the sound of a pair of Tawny owls in the morning are amazing, 4 cctv cameras around the property, wouldnt like the one over looking the back garden in the summer months, for obvious reasons, would expect privacy there. We were there in Feb so didnt matter. The lane in is very narrow, made 10x worse by an old 80s open back defender tearing up and down ( guessing a farmer)
Mrs Brunt
We all really enjoyed our week at Owlacombe…it was a very special Christmas celebration. Thank you to the owners, Ian and Chris for the Christmas tree and decorations and their generous welcome gifts.
Mr Harvey
Every comfort catered for beautiful cottage in quiet and peaceful surroundings. Highly recommended
Mr Neck
What a beautiful cottage, we had a family get together and enjoyed it very much. Koda our Samoyed dog loved the space and garden too. Everything was as expected, beds super comfy and all 3 bedrooms spacious. 100% recommend this cottage if you’re looking for a rural retreat. Close to places if you want them but far enough away for piece and quiet.
Mrs Bloor
A wonderful place to stay, fantastic kitchen and bedrooms, would love to come here again!
Mr Rosser
Owlacombe Bridge Cottage was the ideal base for our week exploring Devon. It's a beautiful property which clearly and rightly has a very proud owner. Ian was there to welcome us on arrival and see us off on departure and was the perfect host, ensuring we had a welcome chocolate cake and bottle or Prosecco (plus other essentials) to get our holiday off to the perfect start. Ian had even made a small holder for a beautiful flower to take home as a reminder of our week in Devon. There are some great experiences within a reasonable distance of the cottage, not least exploring Dartmoor and my wife is now a huge fan of 'piggy cuddles' at Pennywell Farm. Further afield we explored Brixham and Dartmouth...our favourite restaurant, possibly in the UK, is now The Seahorse....you won't be disappointed!
Mrs Preston
Owlacombe Cottage is a beautiful residence in a lovely setting. It was very clean, beautifully furnished and exceptionally well equipped. The owner was extremely helpful and left a beautiful welcome pack. We were shocked by how narrow the approach road was and driving up and down it proved difficult for us and spoiled the holiday so much we wouldn't book again. Obviously that is a personal choice. Such a shame as it was the best holiday home we have ever stayed in.
Ms Ward
Owlacombe Bridge Cottage is an excellent place to stay. It has been restored to an extremely high standard. Spacious and very comfortable. We had a wonderful week exploring this part of Devon. Thank you
Mr Matthews
The cottage is fantastic, the photos do not do it justice. The owner met us on arrival and was very welcoming and helpful. We had a minor technical issue during the stay and the owner was incredibly helpful over the phone and immediately offered to come and help with the issue, we solved it over the phone. The location is beautiful and quiet and the cottage has so many great features and facilities, I cant recommend it highly enough. We would love to stay there again.
Mrs Wilkins
We had a wonderful time in this beautifully presented and decorated cottage. Facilities were fantastic, beds were comfortable, everything we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The owners have really thought about everything and we are looking forward to returning next year.
Mrs Cooper
We had a fabulous 9 day stay at Owlacombe Bridge Cottage at the end of December. Owlacombe is a fantastic dog friendly cottage with quality furniture, in a quiet location, dog friendly with a well-equipped kitchen and super comfy beds. Ideal for relaxation, and great for visits to Dartmoor and Torbay. The owner was very helpful on arrival, and the welcome gifts were a lovely surprise. We would love to visit again.
Mr Oliver
What a wonderful cottage so beautifully restored. Very well equipped and so comfortable. So peaceful yet not too far from places to go. Our second visit and we still love it.
Mrs Price
Lovely cottage and very peaceful and quiet.
Mrs Bayliss
A wonderful place to stay, well equipped with modern fittings. We had s lovely time away with friends and hope to return soon.

A wonderful cottage in a perfect location. If you are looking for peace and quiet, then this cottage is for you We loved our stay there, and are looking to return next year.
Mr Beard
A fantastic property, in a quiet location
Mrs Bryant
Owlacombe is a very stylish, beautifully furnished cottage in a lovely valley. Large bedrooms with wonderful en-suites give real sense of style and luxury. Great modern kitchen with space to sit, eat, read and chill. Large upstairs room with break-out spaces for everyone with super sofas, chairs, tables, good books and a great gong! We all loved it - from dog to grandparents and in between!
Mrs Piper
Luxurious, homely and super place to stay. Lovely spot.
Mrs Skivington
Quiet, remote and peaceful. A wonderful cosy family retreat in stylish and comfortable accommodation. Beds were comfy; shower had good water pressure; kitchen well equipped and everything had been thought of. The host was very kind and helpful. 5 mins drive from the moors. We will be back!!
Ms Westlake
A very beautifully presented cottage in a very quiet lane. We had a lovely stay with our friends and two dogs. Everything you could possibly need is catered for. The garden is lovely and the dogs enjoyed watching out for the wildlife. There are no local footpaths near the cottage that we found, so walking the dogs off lead meant getting in the car and driving to the moors just 2 miles away. The log burners were wonderful and very efficient, the table tennis was good fun, beds were comfortable and we were reluctant to leave. Highly recommended.
Mrs Mundy
A wonderfully appointed cottage with the highest standards of fittings, beds and showers.
Mr Cox
This property is perfect for peace and tranquility in beautiful surrounding Dartmoor Countryside. The roads to the cottage are narrow - take care. But this country setting adds to its charm and appeal. This is a high spec cottage and dog friendly which is important for us. 40-50 mins drive to Devon Coast and 10 minutes onto the Moors. It's a great location and base.
Mr Jones MBE
A really lovely luxurious dog-friendly cottage on a quiet lane about 10 mins away from Ashburton. Delightfully decorated with ample space both inside & out. Great bedrooms with luxurious showers and an upstairs lounge with a wood burner for cosy gatherings in the evenings. Quiet, peaceful and surrounded by nature for long walks at anytime of the year. So many interesting places to visit within a one hour drive; Totnes, Buckfast Abbey, Dartmouth, Tavistock & Dartmoor. Rolling hills and Devon Cream Teas, what more could you desire!
Mr shuttleworth
Owlacombe Bridge Cottage is a stunning property in a great location, quiet and very private and close to great walking on Dartmoor. The house is beautiful, very classy and so well presented, we had a really comfortable stay and wished we had another week.
Mrs Brooks
Everything 5stars and above, more than we could have hoped for Would recommend to all looking for a luxury holiday let at a reasonable price
Mrs Crayton
The cottage was stunning and the garden was so big the children and dog spent hours running around. Location was lovely and quiet just the sound of trees and babbling water. We got to see a deer and some rabbits on the country lane outside the house. Table tennis was a big hit with everyone. Thank you for the gifts you left for us.
Mr Haggart
Lovely cottage, very comfortable, with great garden. Fantastic location, very peaceful. Thank you for the goodies, flowers and gift left for us, a lovely touch. We were met by the owner, Ian, who was very welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Dr Royds-Jones
A beautifully renovated cottage, very stylish, well furnished and equipped, with everything you need. No short cuts on quality here and also spotlessly clean. Just perfect. Owner was really friendly when we arrived and the welcome gifts were generous. Beds were comfortable, showers powerful and the lighting interesting! Several good pubs within a few miles. Could easily have stayed longer. Thank you!
Mr Beard
The kind of house you'd like to live in
Mr Warren
Quality holiday, quality cottage and equipment. The owners have not skimped on anything.
Mrs Skinner
A beautiful cottage in a lovely rural location. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. We had a very enjoyable and peaceful break. The garden met with the approval of our two dogs. Unfortunately, due to it being Winter and the weather not favourable, we couldn’t enjoy the garden fully but during the warmer months, it must be a delight to spend time socialising and relaxing in. The gifts left for us by the owners were lovely and very much appreciated. We highly recommend a stay at Owlacombe Bridge Cottage and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
Mrs Lindsay
An absolutely stunning property. Blown away from the moment we walked in the door. The small details throughout the house were so well designed and considered, we absolutely loved our stay and are already planning for a return trip.
Mrs Thomas
The cottage was absolutely perfect and equipped with everything we could possibly need. It felt like home and the most ideal base to visit beautiful Dartmoor! We couldn’t have asked for more and would love to visit again in the future.
Mrs Steward
Unsurpassed accommodation for 6 people in a stunning modern renovation of a beautiful country retreat.
Mr Butler
The owners have done an amazing job on restoring this cottage, it's beautifully done. It is clear that they have thought about what people might need and there was nothing we wanted that wasn't there. They have spent money on providing quality, no IKEA here! The beds are comfortable. We loved this place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. One of the best we've ever stayed in.
Miss Bickford
Absolutely lovely cottage. Finished to a high spec and very comfortable (particularly the beds!).
Mrs Homes
Just a massive thank you for a great week away
Mr Green
We had a wonderful week at the superb Owlacombe Bridge Cottage. A luxurious property which is perfectly placed for visiting Dartmoor and also close enough to the A38 to make exploring the rest of south Devon easy. The cottage had everything we needed and exceeded expectations. Would definitely return! The Green Family
Mr Ogborne
Best place we have found so far, Will now struggle to beat it only down point a little remote so can't walk to any where other than that great,
Mrs Smith
Five Star Plus! This cottage is everything described and more! Beautifully situated, sympathetically restored and equipped with luxuries you don’t expect from a holiday cottage. We were greeted by the owner who made us feel welcome and ensured we were aware of all the treats the cottage had in store for us… from wet room, touch sensor lighting, underfloor heating, star ceiling (yes really) to the most efficient wood burner that seemed to light just by looking at it! The high standard of the cottage doesn’t detract from its cosiness. Nestled on the edge of Dartmoor, easy to access and just remote enough to allow you to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of the setting. As if the cottage didn’t have enough to offer, the owners also left some wonderful welcome gifts, unexpected and very much appreciated. Owlacombe Bridge Cottage genuinely surpassed our expectations and will not disappoint.
Mrs Webb
Top notch! This is a stunning house, beautifully restored by the owners, who have an eye for detail and have thought of everything. Owlacombe Bridge Cottage is luxurious and comfortable at the same time, with beautfiul furnishings and an extremely well-equipped kitchen - you will want for nothing here. There are wonderful Dartmoor walks straight from the house or you can get in the car and go further afield. Sunday lunch at The Rock Inn, Haytor, was delicious. We will book again for next year as soon as we can.
Ms Inverdale
Beautiful cottage - stylishly equipped and expertly furnished. Perfect for a relaxing family holiday with a dog!
Mrs Coleman
The property is very beautiful, obviously the restoration was a labour of love for the owners and the attention to detail and quality of fittings was exceptional. We appreciated the care that had been taken due to Covid-19 (covering light switches etc) and we also were very grateful for the treats and gifts left by the owners (including some delicious apples from their orchard). The owner took the time to meet us at the property and explained how things worked which was very good of him - it was nice to meet him in person. We had a wonderful restful 2 days and will definitely book to visit again for longer
Mrs Hayes
Beautiful property in a lovely quiet location but close to Dartmoor. Had everything we could have wanted except a long mirror! (86 year old Mum commented this!) Looking forward to staying again.
Mrs Box
Stunning, would highly recommend this property. It’s the best cottage we have ever stayed in. Thoughtful welcome pack, beautifully furnished, in a secluded but peaceful location.
Ms Brehm
This cottage is so delightfully situated among trees and wildlife, with the sounds of a brook across the quiet road. Owls hooting at night, the occasional bat, beautiful stars, daytime squirrels and birds, and the best occasional twilight visitor, a gorgeous red fox. He does have the beginnings of mange, though, but hopefully with treatment he'll continue to stop by. The cottage itself has everything anyone could possibly need for a relaxing, peaceful holiday, everything fitted out to such a high standard. The skylight in the first floor bedroom is so perfect for falling asleep while gazing at the stars, and you can do the same virtually on one of the ground floor bedrooms! It was fascinating to read the history of the cottage as well; I very much appreciated the book detailing the history and renovations. Such a wonderful place that I originally booked for just five nights and finished by staying for three weeks! I cannot wait to return to this lovely place!
Mrs Taylor
Wow! This cottage has been restored to such a high standard - all very high-tech and luxurious - a wonderfully relaxing place to be. Fairly remote in terms of location and mostly without phone signal but that didn't bother us at all (the cottage does have internet connection however). There are plenty of things to do, places to walk the dog and places to eat within a short drive. A table tennis table in the separate garage was an added bonus which the children absolutely loved. The owners left some lovely goodies upon arrival which made us feel thoroughly spoilt too. Owlacombe Bridge Cottage is probably one of the nicest cottages we have ever stayed in. We were sad to leave frankly!
