Beautiful cottage that is perfect for a holiday with your dogs. The hosts are very helpful if needed but otherwise left us to enjoy our stay. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location

The Wheel Barn cottage was everything that we needed it to be. Clean,Comfortable and a good base for travelling around the Cornish coast line.

Great place to stay, within easy reach of the coast and local attractions. We hope to be back again.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. It was very well presented and the bottle of wine and biscuits were a nice welcome gesture. The owners live next door and were very welcoming but did not intrude. The cottage is ideally situated and both North and South coastlines are only a short drive away. There is also an excellent park and ride service into Truro only a short drive from the cottage. We would have no hesitation in booking a return visit.

Lovely place to stay

Wheel Barn is a lovely well equipped cottage with enclosed garden which is great for dogs without constantly watching them our two loved it. It is easily accessible to the rest of Cornwall and the friendly helpful owners are next door if needed, will definitely return

Wheel Barn is tucked away inland but provides easy access to north and south coasts while the A30 allows fluent journeys east and west. The cottage is ideally proportioned for two with simple but stylish decor and pretty much everything you need. It’s clean and comfortable with some welcome treats to greet you. We have visited four times over many years.

This a gem of a cottage. Very comfortable, good layout, helpful owners. Good location for visiting different areas of Cornwall. Lovely and quiet too, Would definitely visit again.

Very central location for all of cornwall loved this place probably the best we've been in over the last 20 holidays in cornwall ,lovely layout, our dogs loved the garden and ladock woods up the road, portscatho beach nearby great as well, the owners next door are very friendly , good chance we'll be back.

Wheel Barn is a haven of peace and quiet. The cottage is well appointed, furniture and decor very fresh. We stayed two weeks and much enjoyed it. The fridge is a bit small but shops are 10 or 15 mins away (Sainsburys, Tesco and Aldi) and an easy drive so not really a problem. The owners Rebecca and Peter are a very friendly couple and will help to ensure you enjoy your stay. We would recommend Bodega 18 tapas bar, and The Longstore steak house for food! There is a market in Truro on Wed and Sat!??

Wheel Barn is a cosy cottage, ideal for two. We loved the underfloor heating, the log burner, the spacious shower room and the little garden with far- reaching views.

absolutely love the central location ..... great for accessing all areas of Cornwall. The cottage itself is so comfortable, the enclosed garden is fantastic when you have dogs with you. Welcoming, friendly and a perfect base!

The accommodation was excellent and the location was perfect for visiting places on the north and south coast of cornwall, so there were always plenty of beaches within 15-20 mins.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wheel Barn. It was comfortable and warm and it was lovely to have things such as a proper reading light in the living room and mirrors where you need them. The location is lovely although stepping straight out of the front door onto the road, with a keen dog, was a bit hairy occasionally! The bed was a bit too firm for me (and why don't more rentals have super king-size beds?) but that's a minor quibble. The electric hob has the most ridiculously complicated operation system I have ever seen but again, not a real problem. The garden is very safe for dogs although a bit small for larger breeds but you can see that in the photos. All in all, we had a lovely, restful, peaceful mini break and would happily return.

We had a fantastic stay over the Christmas period and really appreciated the little Christmas extras provided by the owners who made us feel very welcome. Wheel Barn was very comfortable, warm and homely. We felt really at home from the minute we walked through the door. The barn is in a lovely location and really convenient for visiting lots of places on the Cornish Coast.

The cottage is well located for visiting both coasts. It is spacious for two people and a dog with the garden being a bonus. Owners are friendly and provided helpful local information.

Good sized parking area. Shower and bathroom were a lovely size and very clean. Decor and furnishings very nice condition and of a good quality.

Wheel barn is tucked away in a quiet location (albeit with a vocal cockerel in the field next door), convenient for travel east or west, north or south. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the cottage always clean. The decor is 'deceptively simple' but effective. The living space is ideal for two, the bed comfortable, and the shower room spacious. We recently enjoyed our third stay over a number of years and continue to find it as good a holiday base as ever.

Excellent location and completely dog friendly - an absolute gem of a cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wheel Barn. Becky and Pete were the perfect hosts, providing a very friendly, warm welcome and plenty of useful advice about the many local attractions. Their welcome gifts were much appreciated and everything was provided for (i.e. ample parking space, sun umbrella (totally necessary), huge (great-smelling) towels, power shower with a skylight - so you could shower and watch the blue sky at the same time - puzzles (one of which we actually managed to complete after six days!), a wide selection of DVDs and range of great novels - which we unfortunately never got to watch or read with so much else to fit in....). Wheel Barn is tastefully decorated and was all we could wish for in terms of comfort and convenience (for two people), especially with regard to our dog. He instantly felt at home and the garden was ideal for him to stretch his old legs or just relax in the grass. Ladock - and the Falmouth Arms - was a gem. Great food, very friendly atmosphere and jovial and accommodating bar staff. Wheel Barn was a real retreat and just what we needed to fully relax and refuel. We would recommend it without hesitation and look forward to our return...A big thanks to everyone for making our holiday memorable and most enjoyable

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at wheel barn not to far from both coasts had lots of days out even went to lands and only a hour away , the owners very friendly and helpful and loved they dogs bill and Doris who came to say hello every day think bill was in love with my girls , when we got to wheel barn and saw chickens in the paddock next door we said on no 5 am wake up by the noise but no very quite , I would recommend wheel barn to every one , we just wish it had more bedrooms for us next year

Well what can I say but what a fantastic place to have your holiday in wheel barn it's stunning it is a credit to the owners it's beautiful.south facing garden which is really dog friendly so secure our dog just loved it . It's lovely in Ladock central for driving for days out very nr to Truro which is handy for shopping . Had a fantastic time would really recommend this beautiful cottage we will definitely go back in the near future

A hidden gem, perfect location for travelling around Cornwall. Great for walking, bird watching and wild flowers and great for relaxing after a busy day.

This cottage is a must stay cottage. Great location, finished to a high standard, has everything you need and more. Cottage well thought out and in an ideal location. Best dog-friendly cottage we have stayed in, when previously dog friendly is a 'tick box' excersise to gain business rather than putting yourself in the dog owners shoes and catering to them.

Loved the property and location so much that we hope to return next year. Ps dogs loved it too!

We would recommend highly Wheel Barn cottage Ladock Cornwall. The position near Truro, was very convenient. The general overall comfort and cleanliness of the cottage was excellent. Warm welcome from the Owners who lived nearby.

This is a centrally located property. You can get internet and mobile phone coverage, which can be very useful if you need it, particularly for looking up places to go. This is a very comfortable cottage, but, if you're short (between 5' 4" and 5' 7", like us!!!) , the dining seats are too low and you need to sit on cushions. That is the only criticism we would have about the property. The owners are lovely; they make you feel very welcome (flowers, biscuits, wine, milk on arrival) and they are happy to give you fresh produce (strawberries) from their garden. We can't wait to return, and, looking at the visitor book, I think we'll have to book early for next year!!

We received a very warm welcome from the owners, a lovely welcome pack greeted us and the cottage was spotless, couldn't ask for more.

Fantastic location and superb cottage to stay in. We will return in the near future.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! This was our Honeymoon, the cottage is really well located, very central, roughly an hours driving from anywhere (lands end 1h20) The cottage was decorated to a very high standard, was clean and very well presented. The owners, we saw them twice,once upon arrival and once at departure, really nice and left us to do what we wanted!! Thank you so much!!!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Wheel Barn, it exceeded our expectations. We would have no hesitation in going back there and would recommend it to anyone. I am quite a critical person but I absolutely loved the Wheel Barn and the location was perfect for days out.

Wheel barn is fantastic, comfortable and well equipped. The garden is enclosed, great for dogs. A real home from home. The location is ideal for exploring Cornwall. If you are taking dogs the best beaches are .... Perranporth & Crantock, approximately 25 minutes drive.
