Reviews

The Granary is a delightful Roseland retreat, perfect for those looking for a cosy escape to the seaside. Full of homely touches, this converted barn is great for relaxing solo breaks away from the stresses of modern life, or for couples dreaming of a romantic holiday on the Cornish coast. Venture through the gorgeous stable-door and you'll be greeted by The Granary's fabulous open plan living area.

All on one floor, the living space is light and bright with exposed characterful beams and stone flag flooring providing plenty of character. Natural light flickers through the Velux windows and past the beautiful, exposed beams that frame the dual-height ceilings. Settle down on the inviting leather sofa after a long day exploring and enjoy everything that the fantastic Smart TV has to offer. An intimate dining-table sits snugly to the side of the room, perfect for romantic dinner and late breakfasts. At the rear of the room, you find the modern kitchen that has everything you'll need to prepare delicious meals as well as a brilliant breakfast-bar for that evening glass of wine while chatting to the chef.

After a snug night in, retreat to the bedroom; rustic wooden beams lie above the indulgent king-size bed, topped with plush bedding that guarantee a great night's sleep in this peaceful location. Wake to the morning sun creeping through the curtains and stroll over to the bathroom, which comes complete with a fabulous modern shower for refreshing yourself after long days out on the beach as well as an inviting bathtub for those relaxing nights in.

Outside the semi-detached barn sits a wooden picnic bench, perfect for al fresco dining in the long summer evenings, as well as ample parking for your car. There is also plenty of gorgeous countryside right on your doorstep and you are welcome to share and enjoy the owner's paddock alongside the main farmhouse to exercise your dogs on a lead.

The Granary can be booked together with The Long Barn (5017) to accommodate up to six guests.

Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mr Jarrett

The location is quiet and secluded but within easy reach of places such as St Mawes and Truro. The host was welcoming and checked that we had everything we needed for our stay. It was a perfect location for a restful break for us and our dog with plenty of choices of places to visit and a good range of walks close by. We bought Fal Mussel Visitors Cards which we used for the ferries, including the St Mawes - Falmouth and King Harry and also for the train between Falmouth and Truro.

Mr PAKE

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Granary and Nicky was a great host, nothing a problem and always happy to help. We had 2 dogs which not many properties allow and it was really nice to find they were more than welcome, especially with the big paddock for morning walks. Close by to all the great towns, villages and beaches on the Roseland Peninsular. Ideal accommodation and location for want we needed, such a lovely part of the country.

Mr Gardner

The cottage is in a beautiful location, quiet and full of bird song. No light pollution so wonderful for observing the night sky.

Dr Curtis

Nice cottage in the quiet, at least in late September, and beautiful Roseland peninsula. Great for walking and sandy beaches

Mrs Bennett

A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting which was genuinely dog friendly. A quiet location with good access to countryside walks and a short drive to the coast. Carne beach was particularly stunning and Trelissick Gardens a fabulous day out. The host was friendly and helpful in suggesting good walks for us and our two dogs. The property is as described, and we found it to be clean and tidy. Thank you for a wonderful break.

Miss Frey

We had a lovely stay at The Granary! It was a very spacious and comfortable base for our trip to Cornwall. A quick drive to some lovely (and less busy) beaches. Perfect for those who want to enjoy Cornwall but stay outside of a busy town centre.
