Reviews

Nestled in the heart of the charming Roseland village of St Mawes, September Cottage is a delightful holiday abode, perfectly placed just moments away from the gorgeous beaches and pretty harbourside where the passenger ferry can whisk you away to the eclectic maritime town of Falmouth and other secluded inlets and coves. Only a few yards away from the harbour, September Cottage is perfectly situated for a family holiday or for friends looking for a Cornish escape, and even your four-legged friend is welcome.

Step inside and you will be enchanted. The ground floor open plan living space is stylish and beautifully created with a wood-burner to keep you cosy during cooler months and large French doors to let in the summer breeze. Sink into the comfy sofa after a busy day and catch up on a movie on the Smart TV, or perhaps just chill with a holiday book. The galley kitchen has all the equipment you'll need to cook a holiday feast including a fabulous electric Aga with a multi-function oven/microwave with grill as a useful alternative and of course the all-important dishwasher. With fresh fish from the harbour and local produce available from roadside stalls, the freshest of ingredients will be close at hand. A table and chairs sit next to the kitchen area, perfect for sociable dining.

Climb the stairs, (take care as they are traditional steep cottage style stairs) to the first floor where two bedrooms and the family bathroom await. Gorgeous bedroom one has a comfy king-size bed, dressed in lovely linens and an en suite shower-room whilst bedroom two has twin beds, ideal for either adults or children. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over head so you can choose either a long soak or a refreshing shower after a busy beach day.

Outside, the back garden is a tranquil haven, sheltered and secluded, perfect for al fresco dining from dawn until dusk. Steps lead to a raised area with a separate sun-room and this delightful spot is just the place for a quiet holiday read or to linger over morning coffee.

Mr LAY

September Cottage I rate as five star! Although no sea/water view the cottage is a minute walk from the lovely Harbour at St Mawes, it is well equipped and immaculately clean. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable with a modern easy to use Log burner. The AGA is a real bonus to cook on and adds to the cosy feel of the Cottage, great to cook some lovely fresh Cornish fish! Hope to return later in the year … Tony Ferndown, Dorset

A beautiful cottage. Great location and quality fittings, loved the Aga for our Cornish cooking. Home from home.

September cottage is a beautiful property perfectly situated in the seaside village of St Mawes. It has been finished to a high standard & equipped with everything you could need making it a very comfortable home from home stay.
