Willow's Place
The quaint village of Portscatho is the perfect place to visit for a traditional Cornish getaway and Willow's Place can be found on the edge of the village just a hop, skip and a jump away from the fabulous coast path and a stroll away from the pretty village centre and timeless harbour. Portscatho is a much sought-after village with all the ingredients for a relaxing holiday. The village has a good selection of traditional shops and eateries with Tatam's serving arguably the best freshly brewed coffee on the Roseland alongside the freshest of pastries, all served on the harbour wall overlooking Gerran's Bay, and the Italian bar and pizzeria Tavola where you can dine in or takeaway, ideal for a self-catering holiday!
You are welcomed to Willow's Place by the pretty front garden. Parking for one car is available in front of the garage and access to the front door is either up a flight of seven steps or by using the alternative path without steps to the rear door. A bench outside the front door invites you to sit with your morning coffee and watch the world go by. The interiors of Willow's Place are a delight and created to offer contemporary living with comfort in mind. The spacious sitting-room is light and inviting, beautifully decorated in muted pastel tones and accompanied by nautical touches giving a nod to the seaside location. A wood-burner will keep you warm during cooler months making this the perfect year-round destination.
The kitchen/diner can be found at the rear of the property overlooking a pretty meadow field with views towards Gull Rock and beyond. This super sociable space is simply lovely, with dove grey kitchen units and all the equipment you will need to create a culinary delight. The dining-area is gorgeous, dual-aspect windows adding light and panoramic views. A Smart TV is ideally placed to entertain everyone after a busy day and statement lighting finishes off this room perfectly. The convenient utility-room leads off the kitchen and this is home to the washing machine and drier whilst also providing storage space for all your holiday essentials. The owners' dog Willow has very kindly left a jar of dog biscuits to share with your four-legged friend.
Down a short flight of steps the snug awaits and this cosy area has a comfy sofa alongside a second wood-burner. Patio doors lead outside from here to the secluded patio and this peaceful area lends itself to al fresco dining from dawn until dusk. Why not try out your barbecue skills on the Kamado ceramic egg barbecue in the Cornish sunshine!
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, a pretty twin room ideal for either adults or children and a lovely double room with views over the meadow. The family bathroom has a fabulous free-standing bath and a large shower so you can choose between a soak or a refreshing shower after a busy beach day. A separate WC and wash-basin can also be found on the ground floor.
Take the stairs from the sitting-room to the first floor where you will find spacious bedroom three with a comfy king-size bed and two armchairs, perfect for a quiet holiday read. This room is light and bright thanks to three Velux windows and the fabulous view from here looks down towards the sea with Gull Rock in the distance.
Whether you are looking for a Cornish break with family or a group of friends, Willow's Place has everything you need for a perfect getaway.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.
Mr Reaney
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing week at this property, fortunately the weather was glorious too which meant we predominantly stayed local to enjoy the coast path walks and village amenities, only really driving out a few times for pub meals in Portloe, Tregony and Veryan. The property was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, we wanted for nothing during our stay. We used the Plume of Feathers a couple of times for food and also the Standard in Gerrans, both were good. We also found the local shop had everything we needed for occasional restocking and also used the nearby Curgurrell Farm shop. We walked to Towan Beach to the North and found the National Trust cafe there good for refreshments and to Porthcurnick Beach to the South and again, the hidden hut there was an exceptional spot for a lunch or light refreshment. Also the solitude of the beach further South at Rosevine was very relaxing. All in all a great week, could not have asked for more.
Mrs Ettle
Willow’s Place is well situated, just a short walk into the village or to Porthcurnick beach. Well appointed throughout and very spacious. 3 generations stayed here, at differing times, and it was loved by all.

Willow's Place: absolutely perfect in every way. Tastefully furnished with great attention to detail and those "little extras" that really make it special. Plenty of room, and a kitchen fully equipped with everything you would ever need. Every comfort provided. There was even a littl jar of "treats" for our dog! The location is perfect, so close to a dog friendly beach and the coastal path, yet only a short walk to Portscatho village, with shop, pub and restaurant. Can highly recommend "Willow's Place" (We've already booked for next year!)
Mrs Bagshaw
Willow's Place you didn't disapoint us ! What a wonderful home, beautifully presented, we really didn't want to leave. We didn't want for anything, the best house we've ever stayed in. Located in an ideal position close to the coastal path and beaches but within a short walking distance of both Portscatho and Gerrans. We've stayed in Portscatho many times and this house is such a gem we will most definitely be back again. Thank you so much for a great holiday, lovely home and the generous welcome gift.
Ms Harnden
Fabulous high quality and well laid out comfortable accommodation. Everything is a pleasure to use and the kitchen, bathrooms and utility room have everything you need. Although dog friendly there’s no real evidence of that apart from hairs trapped under cupboards/legs of dining chairs. The location is perfect - quietly positioned on the edge of the village and just a 5 minute walk to the beach or village centre as well as the unmissable Hidden Hut for spectacular outdoor dining. The hilly village has great pubs/cafes and a handful of shops which is handy because the peninsula is an hour’s drive to Falmouth (King Harry car ferry shortens this) although a ferry trip to Falmouth from nearby St Mawes is very quick by comparison, and more fun. One of the best holiday cottages we’ve stayed in and we would highly recommend it.
Mrs Harrison
Don’t hesitate to book this luxurious cottage, it will not disappoint.
Mr Williamson
The second time I've stayed at this lovely home and will definitely book again. Thank you.
Mrs Mackin
This is a beautiful property in a quiet part of Portscatho . But very close to Porthcurnick beach . The village shop is a 5 minute walk away so still accessible. I would recommend this house for your home away from home for a fabulous holiday !
Mrs Ravenhill
Willow’s Place is a beautiful spacious property. Designed and furnished really well, we found it to be immaculate, very comfortable and really well equipped. It’s in a great location with lovely views down to the sea from the patio, and just a very short walk to join the coastal path and access the beaches. One of the best we have stayed in and would certainly love to return.
Mrs Bateson
Willow’s Place was a fabulous homely place to stay and so close to the sea with great views from the house. I loved sitting having breakfast in the dining room & looking out to sea. The beach and coastal path were so close for great walks and lunch at the ‘Hidden Hut’ was a real gem. The Cornish treats on arrival were a lovely touch, plus the extras of dishwasher tablets, washing machine pods were really handy. We had a lovely relaxing week and really didn’t want the holiday to end. The Bateson’s from Cheshire.
Dr Shearman
Beautiful high specification house with short walk to village and beaches. Extremely comfortable, clean and dogs are welcome. Highly recommended
Mrs Morrell
A perfectly equipped and beautifully decorated holiday home in a quiet area of the lovely village of Portscatho.
Mrs Roberts
This property certainly has the wow factor once you step through the door. This is one of the best equipped and spacious holiday homes we have stayed in and furnished to the highest standards. The owners have thought of everything and there are lots of lovely touches that really made us (and our dog) feel at home. The location is perfect - quiet residential, with views to the sea and a couple of minutes to join the coastal path. 5 minutes to Portscatho village with its lovely pub, cafe and coffee/cake 'hut', galleries and really well stocked local shop and post office. Less than 10 minutes in the other direction from the property and you are on the fabulous Porthcurnick beach and the 'Hidden Hut' beach cafe. We have already booked our return visit! thank you
Mrs Clarke
