Wem House with its sea views is in a truly exceptional location just above the safe sandy Porthcurnick Beach. Converted from an old farm building this detached cottage is immaculately presented and equipped to a very high standard and with a wood-burner effect electric stove in the light and airy living-room, this is a super cottage to stay in at any time of year.

When the sun is shining, the fully enclosed patio with potted plants is a lovely spot for some dining ’al fresco’ and the small fishing village of Portscatho with its shops, pubs and restaurants is a ten minute coastal walk away.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Winslade

A super place to stay. Stunning sea view close location to the beach. Very dog friendly and great coastal walks and places to visit. We had such a lovely stay would definitely return ??

Mrs Sarginson

A fabulous cosy cottage in a fantastic location- many walks straight from the door and lots of places to explore on the Roseland Peninsula. Easy access to explore the rest of Cornwall if you can tear yourself away. We will be back! Thank you

Mrs Campbell

Wem House is quite tucked away and private with a lovely view. We have stayed here for several years and always have a lovely time. An added bonus is that it is only a two minute walk to the beach, great for an early morning dip.

Dr Flanders

Lovely location very near the beach with beautiful sea views

Mrs Cockroft

Wem House is in an amazing location overlooking Gerrans Bay and two minutes from Porthcurnick beach. The property is ideal for a couple and the kitchen is well- equipped. The garden is perfect for watching the coastline and local bird life. We love walking up to the near-by farm shop and buying fish caught that morning along with local asparagus and potatoes. In Portscatho, which we reach along the coastal path, we can enjoy an early morning coffee at Tatams and buy provisions in the village store. The two pubs, the Plume of Feathers and the Standard offer interesting food and there is an excellent ice-cream.From Wem House it is two minute stroll down to the nearest beach home to the Hidden Hut which sells wonderful food.

Mrs Woolman

A beautiful little cottage in a superb location for a quiet relaxing break. Very well equipped, warm and comfortable. Lovely bottle of wine and some flowers, along with milk and tea were welcoming. We found it easy to access everything that we wanted to see and do..and on the days when the weather really did stop play we happily watched the storms over the sea from the comfort of the cottage. A really lovely place to stay.

Ms Allen

Stunning location

mr Jelley

Accommodation exceeded expectations . Very clean and well laid out. Plenty of space for 2. Location perfect for coastal walks, or just a short stroll to the beach. 10 to 15 min walk along the coast path to Pubs and shop in Portscatho. Farm shop 10 min walk up the road a bit pricey, but convenience and quality worth it.

Mrs Withers

Our second visit to Wem House and our third to Rosevine/Porthcurnick. The property has everything you need for a comfortable holiday, including fabulous views and a private patio to relax on. The location is second to none, with Portscatho a 15 minute walk over the coast path, and eateries on the door step. A few minutes down the lane is lovely Porthcurnick beach, great for a swim or stroll exploring rock pools. The Hidden hut is a great place for an early morning coffee, and a pasty for lunch. It really has it all, and you will not be disappointed.

Mr Kercher

Wem house is a great nice cottage with beautiful views and a friendly host. There is a lot to do and see in Roseland. You can walk to the beach or to Portscato for a coffee and a meal.. This was our second time in Roseland/Rosevine and we loved it.

Mrs Brumby

Our second stay at this property. It is a cosy, well equipped holiday home. Fantastic views from Wem House and a few minutes walk to Porthcurnick beach. Would happily return for a third stay!

Mrs Campbell

Nice cozy cottage for two with amazing views.

Mrs Cockroft

We have stayed here before and love the property and the area. It is extremely peaceful and very easy to walk to the beach, Hidden Hut, Portscatho for shops and restaurants and also to the near-by farm shop for excellent fish, meat and local vegetables. The walks on the coastal path are wonderful.

Ms Lea

Location was perfect for us as a couple who intended to leave the car parked up and spend the week walking the coastal paths in the area and sampling the beach cafes (big shout out to Hidden Hut,ThirstTea and Shallikabooky). We also used the bus from portscatho to get to St Mawes and used the ferries from there to get further afield (don't miss Indidog in Falmouth for a fabulous lunch with a view). Cottage was excellently equipped. Comfortable and cosy. Never tired of the view from the living room and patio. Thank you and hope to come again.

Mrs Murray

Great location in a lovely area of Cornwall. peaceful but with view of the sea and so close to a beach you can go down for just a short spell at a time.

Mrs Jordan

We would recommend Wem House to any couple wishing to enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful location. The beach is only minutes away and the views from the cottage are to die for. For shopping purposes, Portscatho is only a short distance away, involving a wonderful walk along the Coastal Path or easy driving distance if necessary. The Rosevine Hotel is situated across the road and the Hidden Hut Cafe a few yards away, both providing food and drink. What could be better???

Mrs Phelan

Very nice relaxing place to stay.

Ms Roby

Mrs Campbell

Mrs Withers

Wem House is a beautiful property for two in the stunning location of Rosevine, less than a mile from Portscatho. The lovely owners Alan and Jo have provided everything you could possibly want to make for a very comfortable holiday. The views from the property are simply breathtaking, and just a few minutes walk down the road you can access the fabulous Porthcurnick beach where swimming is very safe for all. With the benefit of all the eateries within walking distance, including The Hidden Hut, it really does have everything.

Mrs Murray

A beautifully situated cottage with an amazing view and minutes from a lovely Cornish cove.

Mrs Coldwell

We have have stayed on holiday in this cottage for 12 years and it never disappoints. The location is perfect and the sea views are fantastic.

Mrs Clifford

We spent 4 nights there over new year. It is a lovely well equipped house in a ideal position. Just up from the beach, ideal for walks which then leads to the foot path with just a short walk to Porthscatho. The road is busy as the Hidden Hut is on the door step but this isn't a concern as there is a drive way to park your car with plenty of space. The owners were lovely and friendly made us welcome and are blessed to live in such a lovely place which we got to share during our stay the view is outstanding. We plan to return.

Mrs Steege
