Welcome to Shorelines, a pretty double fronted Cornish terraced cottage in the heart of Portscatho, the desirable and much-loved seaside village on the Roseland peninsula. One of a select group of properties on River Street, this perfectly proportioned holiday home for up to four guests is only a short stroll to the beach front.

On arrival step through the blue painted porch into this attractive whitewashed stone cottage to discover the cosy open plan sitting/dining-room complete with a warming wood-burner, perfect for those out-of-season stays or cooler evenings. Snuggle up on the comfy sofa or relax in one of the armchairs with a good book. Enjoy a meal with family or friends around the table here, or outside on your private courtyard accessed through the sun-room seating-area, the choice is yours.

Across the hallway and step into the kitchen, a calm cooking space with everything you need to cook up a delicious meal and with an abundance of produce in this part of Cornwall, you can shop local at one of the many farm shops and village stores in the area. Eating out can also be a great holiday pastime, whether it be fish and chips from the mobile van on a Friday or a Feast Night at the Hidden Hut (bookings required), or maybe you prefer a sit-down meal at the Plume of Feathers or The Standard, both local pubs are renowned for their tasty food and a warm welcome.

When it's time for bed, head upstairs to one of two bedrooms, the main bedroom is a spacious room decorated in soft colours, with a comfy king-size double bed and views over River Street below. Across the landing is the twin room, another good size bedroom where adults or the little ones will be comfortable sleeping. The bathroom is also on this floor.

Mrs Smith

Well equipped and comfortable property right in the centre of Village. Plenty of fabulous walks on your doorstep!

Mrs Kelly

Spent a delightful 3 days at Shorelines. The cottage is well equipped, clean and comfortable. You couldn’t be closer to a pub unless you were living in one! Local food was delicious and the local store stocks most things. I would definitely recommend it and would stay again. Some lovely walks with or without a dog

Mr Gibbon

Beautiful, clean, very well looked after cottage in an amazing location - right in the heart of the village with the pub, shop, ice cream parlour, coffee shop and beach literally within 30 seconds of the front door. Glorious.

Mr Hayes

Lovely homely cottage in an excellent location, never disappoints. We will be returning soon.

Mrs Miller

Very warm and cosy cottage right in the heart of the village. Comfy beds and good to have an outside a space.

Mr Scriven

Amazing week away in Portscatho, the cottage is in the perfect location given its stumbling distance to everything the village has to offer and the weather was incredible (had to keep reminding ourselves it was the end of October). The cottage has charm and was a good base however, it is dated in parts and could do with a bit of TLC as some items in the house didn’t work and others looked like they could stop at any moment. The closed room layout made it a challenge with young children given no stair gates and needing to be in the same room with them at all times so would advise better with older children. Overall it we had a great week, likely would have struggled if the weather had been bad and made us stuck inside. We would return as the location was perfect but we would look for other properties first.

Mrs Spink

Great location a step away from the shop, pub and sea. Lovely bedrooms. The cottage is newly decorated and in good order.
