Reviews

Set in an enviable position in the centre of the village, semi-detached Sea View boasts the most incredible views over Gerrans Bay with its sandy beaches, pretty harbour, and Gull Rock and Nare headland in the distance.

With reversed accommodation the sitting-room is on the first floor to take full advantage of the stunning view, the kitchen and family bathroom are also on this level with the bedrooms all situated on the ground floor. Sliding doors from the sitting-room lead out to the balcony which is the perfect spot for that early morning cup of tea watching the sun rise over the bay. On those winter evenings snuggle up on the sofa and relax in front of the wood-burner while you listen to the waves breaking on the shore.

Accessing the beach could not be easier, follow the coast path to Porthcurnick beach or walk down the road to Tatams and enjoy a coffee and pastry outdoors at the boutique coffee hut while watching the children building sandcastles and exploring the rockpools on the beach below.

Another lovely stay at Seaview we visit every year, stunning place and village. Our stay at Seaview has everything you need, comfort, lovely beds, a fantastic view and warm atmosphere, harbour club nearby, great pub, village shops a little gem. Will always come back Judy and Col Eastbourne

Mrs Summers

Lovely property.

Mrs Livsey

Property with good sea views, in a village location, close to amenities and with a parking place outside the property.

Ms Alder

Sea View is a marvelous place to stay. Extremely comfortable. All you could ever require is there. Very homey and the views spectacular. Easy walk to beach and market. The decks are very nice. The bed very comfortable. I would recommend highly.

Mrs Ferguson

Great spot to stay two minutes from the shop and two minutes from the pub what more could you ask for

Dr Falahee

What a view! Perfect location, with beach, pub, great food and shops all just a stone’s throw away. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen - would be very happy to return.

Mr Brooks

More than happy with Sea View - ideal position, excellent views & exactly what we wanted.

Mrs Stapleton-chater

If you like swimming & can go from your hose & back in your swimming suit this is perfect. If you love leaving the car, walking & shopping locally , again perfect ??

Mrs CHARD

Seaview is a fantastic place to stay. It's right near the beach and has great access to local eateries - The Beach Hut; Plume of Feathers; Standard Inn; and for snacks Tatum's and the Hidden Hut. There is as a very well stocked local shop. Richard, who looks after the place is most helpful. There are a number of great walks you can do from the house. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be looking to book again.

Mrs Savory

Every thing you need for a great holiday. Fabulous views, super location, well equipped and very comfortable bed, Even when it’s raining, it’s fascinating to watch the weather roll in across the sea.

Mrs Larcombe

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Sea View you could not find a more convenient place to stay. It is in the middle of the village, on the walk through to the beach at Porthcurnick. The views from the small balcony are very peaceful and enjoyable. House is well equipped for cooking if you do not like constant takeaways, however the pizzas etc from Tavola are excellent. Porthcurnick Beach is not far and great for children. Portscatho is not far away from many interesting visits, the church at St Just in Roseland, St Mawes, Mevagissey, Eden Project. Take a trip across the King Harry Ferry and visit Truro, or take a river trip up to Truro from St Mawes, or the ferry across to Falmouth. Lots to do.

Mrs Hoban

If you are out all day including dinner this place is ideal as the location and view are great. The house itself is quite dated and needs some upkeep. The price you are paying is purely for the sea view not the actual accommodation.

Mrs Franklin

I had a lovely peaceful week in Seaview. It has fantastic views of the sea , is near everything in the village and all the wonderful coastal walks. Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable.

Mr Hickmott

We had a fantastic holiday at Sea View and have already rebooked for next year. The team at Classic Cottages were so helpful aswell, the best company we've used in 25 years of renting holiday cottages.

Mr Phillips

We had a really lovely stay at Sea View. It was the perfect base for us to explore the local area. The outdoor spaces and views at the property are amazing. The property is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay and the beds were particularly comfy! Portscatho and the surrounding areas are lovely, with multiple walks, beautiful beaches and lots of choice when it comes to food and drink. The local coffee shop and pub were a particular favourite!

Mrs Cavill

Portscatho is a lovely fishing village with just the right amount of facilities, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The sea views from the property are great, easy access to Portcurnick Beach 10 minutes along the Coastal Path from Sea View, which is a beautiful beach. Very little traffic on North Parade as it is a dead end, just people walking to the coastal path, which has have stunning views and several local beaches which are great for swimming and rock pools.

Mrs Logan

Very comfortable and well-equipped property in a fantastic location with great views. Right on the coastal path, with short walks to fabulous beaches and right at the heart of delightful Portscatho, with its pub, cafe and well-stocked local shop. We absolutely loved it!

Mrs Dean

An excellent location with great views across the bay, with very easy access to the village and coastal path.
