Pendower Barn
Welcome to your perfect holiday bolthole, situated in the tiny hamlet of Trewithian and just a very short drive or pleasant coast path stroll away from the pretty seaside village of Portscatho. Pendower Barn is simply lovely, with spacious living areas and a fabulous garden where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside. Whether you are a family looking for a week of beachside bliss, or friends seeking secluded coves and dramatic coast paths, Pendower Barn is the perfect Roseland retreat at any time of year.
Step over the threshold, through the stable-door into the kitchen and you will instantly feel at home here. Pendower Barn has been created with comfort in mind and the double height ceilings ensure the rooms fill with natural light and oak beams give a nod to its heritage. The kitchen has all you will need to cook a holiday feast and the lovely table and chairs make this the ideal place for socialising with the chef. Stairs from the dining area lead to the mezzanine where the children in the party will delight at having a separate snug, perfect for a board game or movie after a day on the beach. From the kitchen and dining areas, two steps lead down to the sitting-area with super comfy sofas and the added luxury of a wood-burner to warm those cool autumnal evenings. During fine weather, throw open the French doors and enjoy the fabulous sunny terrace, just made for al fresco dining.
Beyond the patio the lawn awaits where you can sit in the tranquility of the surrounding countryside and listen to birdsong, or perhaps burn off some steam with the kids. The perfect escape awaits at the end of the garden where a couple of wooden seats capture the sun's rays. Back to the barn and at the rear of the kitchen you will find the two bedrooms and family bathroom. Bedroom one has a king-size bed with pretty linens and quality furnishings; this room is light and bright, thanks to the French windows. Bedroom two has twin beds with lovely linens and the added bonus of a TV, giving everyone a choice when it comes to screen time. The bathroom has both a bath and walk-in shower cubicle so you can choose between a long soak after a day of adventure, or a refreshing shower after a day on the beach.

Mr Corthésy
We had a wonderful time at Pendower barn! Great walks to the beaches! The garden was very nice and quiet. The house was very comfy and peaceful too. Thank you!
Mrs Annetts
We had an amazing holiday in Pendower Barn - the highlight was mackerel fishing with Fish and Trips in St Mawes and bringing it back to the cottage to cook it for dinner :-). We also loved our evening walks on the beach (within walking distance).
Ms Hyatt
Pendower Barn was spotlessly clean, light, bright and airy, and it had a very well equipped kitchen. The garden was a really good size with a range of garden furniture, we really enjoyed sitting out and making the most of the garden during the good weather which we were fortunate enough to have during our stay. The only little negatives were, that upon arrival, we thought that there might be a welcome pack, (which a lot of places seem to do now), with a pint of milk or something, but there wasn’t. After a 6 hour journey to get to Cornwall, we were dying for a cup of tea, but there was no milk. We noticed there was only one very small toilet roll and two dishwasher tablets, we ended up buying our own, but had we known this, we would have brought our own with us from home.
Mrs Holmes
Beautiful barn conversion with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. Great garden for the dog too!

Perfection :-)

We had a truly wonderful stay at Pendower Barn. The barn itself had everything we could have wanted and more. The space was perfect, we have two boys (4 and 7) and they loved the fact they had their own space on the mezzanine! The garden was also great for them to run around and play some games when we weren’t out and about. You can’t go wrong with the location, walking distance to amazing beaches and close to loads of fantastic places. Would book again in a heartbeat!
Mr Muckle
This is a tastefully furnished barn, and well equipped where it matters. With farm shops and the like on hand, cooking was a pleasure and we wanted for nothing in the kitchen in that respect. Top marks. Even had a knife sharpener in the draw, didn't need to use my own which is normally something I find myself doing. The barn is quiet, you can withdraw and just enjoy being out of the way, or plenty of nice walks and relatively empty beaches a short stroll away to enjoy. Felt very strange coming back to normal civilisation after a two week stay. We would go back again in the future.
Mrs Balfe
We had a wonderful stay at Pendower Barn and loved it so much we have already booked for next year. The location is perfect, quiet and peaceful, with a short walk to the coast path and several beautiful beaches within walking distance. The cottage itself is spacious, very tastefully and comfortably furnished, with new kitchen and bathroom. Good quality linens and comfortable beds. The garden is well fenced for children and dogs and there is plenty of outdoor seating. Just a 5 minute walk is the Knight or winery and the Vine Street food restaurant.
Ms Earle
Bright and comfortable cottage with a lovely, secure garden. Dog friendly and a short, easy walk to some wonderful beaches. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
Mrs Pickthorne
Lovely property in a great location, lots of walks from the doorstep. Comfortable, clean, quiet, nice to have an enclosed garden of a good size. Love this corner of Cornwall and this property is ideal as a base for exploring.

Pendower Barn is a absolute treasure to find. We couldn’t fault it in any way. It has been beautifully refurbished to a very high standard and the decor is so tasteful. Located just a 15 minutes walk to Porthcurnick beach and within easy reach to Portscatho and St. Mawes. What more could anyone wish for.
Mr Powis

Pendower Barn is perfectly placed for walking and beaches. We love the coast path so made the most of being so close. Lovely walk to Portscatho with a good pub and great cafe. Pendower beach is fabulous - and the barn is so well located we hardly used the car. Already booked for next year!
Mrs Howell
Well appointed property with attractive enclosed garden. Excellent location for visiting all the attractions around the area. Majority of the beaches around are dog friendly. Highly recommend The Plume of Feathers in Portscatho for Sunday lunch, you will need to book.
Mrs Kennard
Pendower Barn has everything you need for a relaxing break in the Roseland peninsular. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The furnishings were of a high standard and good quality. The pretty village of Portscatho, with an excellent shop, butchers, pub and cafe, and Porthcurnick beach ( Hidden Hut) is in reasonable walking distance and gives access to the South West Coast path. The barn is also ideally situated for reaching all of the Roseland peninsular as well other south coast towns. We were very happy with our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this barn.
