Number 3 By The Sea
Welcome to Number 3 By The Sea, a beautifully styled contemporary home, perfectly situated in the centre of the charming village of Portscatho, just a stroll away from the stunning coast path and a mere ten minute walk away from the pretty harbour, cafes and shops.
The Roseland peninsula is a magical place for a holiday and your journey to Number 3 By The Sea will take you along quiet country lanes and through sleepy Cornish villages where you are never far away from stunning coastal views. Situated in a quiet area on the outskirts of the village, from the moment you arrive you will be captivated.
The ground floor is a fabulous open plan living space, furnished in a palette of soft blue and grey hues to match the seaside location. Cosy sofas invite you to relax in front of the Smart TV and a warming wood-burner to keep you cosy throughout the year. The dining-table sits in front of bi-fold doors, giving a panoramic view of the delightful garden towards Gerrans Bay and Gull Rock. The chef in the party will delight in spending time in the beautifully designed kitchen with statement lighting, whilst guests perch at the breakfast-bar and supervise. A separate utility-room is home to a washing machine and tumble-drier and a cloakroom with WC and wash-basin is also on the ground floor. Bedroom one on the ground floor is simply gorgeous with a comfy king-size bed adorned with lovely linens. A sleek en suite bathroom is the perfect place for a long soak or a refreshing shower after a busy beach day.
Climb the stairs (do look out for the quirky whale lightshade) and you will discover bedrooms two and three. Bedroom two has oodles of space and is light and bright thanks to the Juliet balcony with far reaching countryside views and the windows which look towards Gull Rock and Gerrans Bay. A spacious walk-in dressing area provides lots of space for your holiday essentials and the en suite shower-room is perfect for a refreshing shower. Bedroom three has a 'zip and link' bed so you have the luxury to choose either twin beds or a king-size double. You will also find a fabulous en suite shower-room and dressing room.
Outside, Number 3 By The Sea has parking for two cars on the drive (the garage is not available for guests' use), and a low maintenance garden with a handy outside shower, ideal for salty dogs, sandy toes and rinsing wetsuits. To the rear, a sunny terrace overlooks the surrounding rural landscape with sea view glimpses the perfect spot for al fresco dining. Whether you plan to spend your days enjoying your gorgeous surroundings or explore the delights of Cornwall, Number 3 By The Sea is a beautiful place for a holiday.

Number 3 by the Sea was one of the best holiday properties we have ever stayed in. It is set in an extremely peaceful and tranquil area. We really appreciated the light and spacious rooms, the comfort and cleanliness of the house. It is within easy walking distance of great places to eat and the walks in the area are beautiful. Highly recommended.
Dr Shearman
Wonderful spacious, well equipped modern house. Lovely to find high standard and conveniently located accommodation that will will accept a dog.
Mr Bird
This is an excellent cottage and is one of the best we have stayed at. It is modern well equipped warm and comfortable. There are views of the sea from the property and it is only a 5 minute walk to the coast path. We enjoy walking so for us this was an excellent location hardly ever using the car and when we did it was not very far to access other locations. The village pubs and store are excellent unfortunately we were a week early for the ice cream parlour. We would like the "Hidden Hut" to remain hidden. Our dog was very excited by the rabbits passing through the garden and could hear the pheasants in the field.
Ms Whale
We loved No 3. Stylish and warm with three lovely en suite bedrooms it was perfect for two sisters and our mum. The lovely roomy open plan dining / living area is still cosy. The master bedroom with its walk in wardrobe and spectacular views is fantastic. The dog was happy pottering in the secure garden and the outside shower for washing muddy paws is a bonus. Great location for access to the coastal path and exploring the Roseland and beyond. A wonderful house for a holiday. Thoroughly recommended!
Mrs Bicknell
We all had a fabulous stay here and the week was lovely and sunny. The accommodation is perfect with all bedrooms ensuite.Lots of space in all the rooms, and the outside patio had lots of seating and was a lovely place to sit out on and relax, great for a Bbq in the evenings. They is parking for 2 cars and plenty of space outside on the quiet road. The Location is perfect for just a short walk to the lovely sandy beach, Pretty village with a great shop, cafe and 2pubs. Great for bringing a dog , garden is safe , beach dog friendly and just around the corner the cricket ground for a runaround on the grass. The pubs and cafe are also dog friendly. We would all love to come again.
Mr Dolben
Fantastic stay in well equipped accommodation.
Mrs Snell
Our second visit was just as wow as our first. Number 3 has everything you need for the best family and dog holiday. The location is excellent, so close to the beach and village. A wonderful pub, The Standard Inn, has incredible food and is a very easy walk away and the pasties from Portscatho shop are delicious. St Mawes is lovely as are the fresh crab sandwiches from the deli. Falmouth via the ferry and beautiful gardens to visit.
Mr Hawke
This is a superb spacious property, with every feature you would be likely to need. Highly recommended!
Mrs Butler
Such a great location. Spacious house tastefully decorated and comfortable. Walks down to the beaches or easy drive to beautiful places like St Maws. We took the ferry to falmouth which was beautiful, getting a pasty first from the quayside. A great break.
Mr Kibble

Mr Lack

Mrs Snell
WOW, No. 3 by the Sea definitely has the wow factor. Beautifully designed, spacious, full of light, warm and cosy with a lovely homely feel. No. 3 has everything you need for the very best family + dog holiday. The kitchen is amazing as are the bedrooms (very comfortable). The walk through the fields to Porthcurnick Beach is sublime as is the beach, the views are outstanding. Portscatho is delightful, lovely pasties from the village store and delicious Sunday lunch at the Plume of Feathers.
Mrs Taylor
This is one of the best properties we have stayed in. The location is great. There are lovely views out to sea, it is in a great location and also near the bus stop. It was also very comfortable and well equipped. We felt at home here. The walk to Towan Beach was a favourite for us (there is also a car park if you have a lot of beach stuff). The beach is never too busy, the sea is clear and the Thirstea cafe is close by. Recommend: Lunch at Idle Rocks in St Mawes overlooking the harbour. Wonderful walking (running) along the coast to St Anthony’s Head. Coffee at Tatum in Portscatho overlooking the sea towards Nare Rock. It would be impossible not to have a great holiday here.
