Bryher is a delightful barn conversion, semi-detached from Lowenna (3133). The interior is contemporary, light and airy with solid wood flooring throughout and great attention to detail.

Located just a five minute walk from Porthcurnick Beach, with soft sand and rock pools galore, this is a wonderful location for a family holiday. A 10 minute stroll along the coastal footpath brings you to Portscatho, a pretty little harbourside village with its own sandy beach, a selection of shops and galleries, a couple of cafes and a popular pub. The shared orchard garden has fully enclosed lawns, lovely mature trees and sea views over the bay towards Nare Head and Gull Rock in one direction and rolling countryside in the other.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mr Marshall

Lovely cottage ideal for two people. Beautiful grounds well maintained with plenty of parking. Hosts really welcoming

Mr Preston

We had a fantastic week. Amazing location, exceptionally clean and well equipped.

MR EDWARDS

We have stayed in many Classic Cottages properties, and Bryher is the best we have ever visited. The courtyard setting is charming and the surrounding gardens and fields give a genuine rural experience. At the same time being able to walk into Portscatho village, or Porthcurnic beach in a few minutes meant we seldom used the car which was left at the property car park, along with a sailing dinghy we had brought. The interior of the property is beautifully decorated, with a modern feel to the open kitchen/dining/living space. The bedroom and shower rooms are also clean and neat with a modern finish. We made full use of the patio area and furniture outside, and our hosts Jean and Dougie were charming, and kindly lent us a barbeque. Even the weather was good. We will be back. Steve and Lynn.

Mrs Burns

Had another great stay, weather was changeable but used to that ??. Jean & Doug were very welcoming as always. (Nice to see Albert the dog too.)Thank you ??. Close to the beach only a short walk away.

Mrs Hancock

The property is very comfortable and the owner provides some nice additional touches to make you feel at home. The location is just perfect for me being a few minutes walk from the coastal path and a 10 minute walk to Portscatho.

mrs Hardman

The Bryher was a brilliant base to explore the Roseland Peninsular and perfect for our needs as a couple with a dog - being 5 minutes from a dog friendly beach and the owners kindly providing access to a lovely green space (the orchard). An easy walk into lovely Portscatho to go to the shop, cafe and pub was super too. Everything was spot on - thanks Jean & Doug!

Mrs Blount

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and the owner generously left coffee pods, a bag of ground coffee and box of tea bags (all Cornish) together with milk in the fridge. There was no scrimping on household items such as hand wash, washing up liquid and toilet rolls (which many owners only provide in minimum quantities). The owners were very welcoming and on hand should there be any queries, but in no way intrusive. The cottage was 5/10 minutes walk from the nearest beach (and the hidden Hut), and only 10/15 minutes from Portscatho village shops etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Mrs Burns

Lovely clean accommodation, weather was good, really close to the beach, we love it there, beanie loved it too (Dog). Nice to meet Alfred new dog too. Jean was lovely as always. Will be back in July , thank you for a great stay .

Mrs Beynon

We had an excellent stay at Bryher which is beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. It’s in great location for the beach and village. The Roseland is a delight. The owners Jean and Doug made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Bryher is one of the best self catering cottages we have stayed in - we couldn’t fault it and look forward to returning.

Mrs Heaviside

Bryher is an ideal property for a couple. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay, including plenty of quality tea and coffee (pods for the Nespresso too). All furnishings and equipment seemed quite new and the property was very cosy despite the wind and rain we encountered. The location and environment were great and the property owner went out of her way to make sure we were happy.

Mr Dippnall

Great accommodation with everything you need. Lovely position near sea

Mr Wells

Whilst only a 15-20 min walk from Portscatho with a pavement most of the way, it does mean coming back in the dark at this time of year (September) with no street lighting for some of the way. A good torch was provided. May or June would be a especially good time to go as one could return from eating in daylight. Cottage details could make it clearer that one can access Portscatho on foot via the road not just the cliff path.

Mrs Beale

We have stayed at Bryher for many years now, and we always enjoy our holiday there. With a large gated deck and a field for our dog to run around, the cottage is perfect for us. The cottage is superbly well equipped with comfortable furniture and bed, and the owners Jean and Doug are very friendly and generous, with all necessities supplied over and above what one would usually expect to find. The location of course is just perfect - ten minutes walk to the beach, the same in the other direction to Portscatho with its shops, galleries and cafés. The SWCP on the doorstep. What could possibly be better?

Mrs Campbell

Had a wonderful week at Bryher in a comfortable well equiped cottage in a great location. Lovely firm sandy beach close by and only a short walk to nearest town. Would thoroughly recommend.

Mrs Hancock

Lovely comfortable, well equipped, property. Great location, very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10 min walk to Portscatho, which was perfect for me. A week wasn't long enough - I didn't want to leave.

Mrs Wilson

Definitely 5 star accommodation. The cleanest and one of the most comfortable and best equipped cottages that I’ve ever stayed in. Proximity to Porthcurnick Beach, the unique Hidden Hut and Portscatho was closer than expected. Particularly enjoyed daily early morning walks with my dog, Flora, to the beach and surrounding meadows full of wonderful spring flowers, including amazing orchids. Hardly used the car as the coastal path was so accessible. Loved exploring the Roseland Peninsula! The whole holiday was a joy!

Mrs Burns

Fantastic holiday, weather was great. Great location, Easy access to beach short walk up the road, Beanie dog loved it. Easy to get around Cornwall. Jean & Doug we're very welcoming, Lovely place. Thankyou.

Mrs Hawkins

We really enjoyed our stay at Bryher and would have liked to have stayed longer but unfortunately had other commitments. We were made to feel very welcome. The cottage was so cosy and comfortable and the field for exercising our dog was an added bonus. She loved it! It is conveniently situated for both the beach and village. We are certainly planning to book again for next year.

Mrs Helfrich

Our second visit to Bryher, and it didn't disappoint. A great host and a well equipped barn. Comfortable, clean, warm and in a great location on the beautiful Roseland. Long dog walks, fresh air and some great lunches. We can particularly recommend The Standard for a fabulous Sunday lunch.

Mrs Beale

We have enjoyed holidays at Bryher for many years now. It’s a very comfortable barn conversion for two (and a dog) so suits us perfectly. The owner has thought of everything here. Bryher is in a great location - a short walk to the SWCP, with Porthcurnick beach and the Hidden Hut ten minutes walk in one direction and Portscatho ten minutes walk in the other! Nothing not to love.

Mr Beer

The location of this holiday home is excellent - we were able to walk the coast path directly from the barn, and also walk to the local pub and shop when needed. It was spotlessly clean and all the furniture and equipment was of good quality. Very comfy bed. Jean is an excellent host.

Mrs Williams

Fantastic host, beautiful property, great location with an easy walk to the town. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Ms Bye

Fabulous clean property, comfortable bed, very well equipped. A very warm welcome from the owners.

Mrs Nicholls

We love staying in this property. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard. The setting just outside the lovely village of Portscatho is perfect. Jean ensures that you will be delighted with Bryher and want to return.

Mr Dodds

Beautiful setting and relaxing environment. Accommodation excellent with everything we needed. Easy access to beach, coastal walks and village for shops and pub. Our host, Jean, is so friendly and helpful without being intrusive. This is a perfect setting for us.

Mr Scott

This accommodation always delivers with it's prime location and excellent owners who go out of their way to ensure you get the best getaway experience. Beautiful barn well equipped, maintained and spotlessly clean. We will return for sure.

Mrs Burns

Lovely place, close to sea just a walk up the road. Felt very welcome when arrived by Jean lovely lady . Very dog friendly, Beanie dog loved it. Great holiday, thank you.

Mrs Butler

Very user friendly

Miss Fletcher

Delightful property with accommodations owners. The location is perfect if you don’t want to use your car much - with the beach, Portscatho and walks on your doorstep. But also located for car journeys to surrounding villages and towns if you want to explore further afield.

Miss Malpass

Lovely cottage, lovely hosts, lovely area, lovely weather.....couldn't ask for anything more

Mrs Beale

Bryher is a very comfortable cottage for two, with a large outside decked area. There’s also an orchard with picnic tables. It’s in a convenient spot ten minutes walk away from Portscatho and ten minutes walk from Porthcurnick beach and the Hidden Hut. We’ve stayed there for many years now and just keep on coming back. The entire area is prime walking country. We love it.

Ms Bye

Excellent property. Ideally situated for beach and village. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Mrs Nicholls

Superb property to stay in, a five star property! In a quiet beautiful setting, highly recommended.

Mr Dodds

Superb setting with everything we needed to make it a great stay. Property was spotlessly clean and comfortable. 5 minutes walk from the beach and village centre with pubs and shop so hardly needed to use the car. Stunning walks along coastal path. Owner, Jean, was very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Mr Hitchings

We loved Bryher and will definitely be returning. It was spotlessly clean, and well equipped the owners have thought of everything. Location was fantastic for beach, village and pub and some stunning runs. The owners are welcoming, friendly and super helpful they even gave us salad freshly picked from their garden!

Mrs Shepherd

A beautifully maintained property - we thought it was all brand new but apparently not! We could not fault the cleanliness, space and comfort of this lovely barn/cottage. Location perfect for the coast path and exploring the Roseland Peninsula generally. We will return!

Mrs Cooper

A lovely cottage for two which was exactly as the photos show and described accurately, including the walking times to the beach (& Hidden Hut) and into the centre of Porthscatho. There is no point in taking the car into the village when staying this close. Tatums is the best place for a morning coffee and treat!

Ms Crew

Stylish barn in a great position near to the coast. We’ll equipped and comfortable. Will definitely return.

Mrs Helfrich

We had a really relaxing week at Bryer. Loved the style and comfort of the cottage -just the right size for two and a dog. It was great to have the convenience of the enclosed orchard garden to let the dog exercise in the early morning and late at night. It's location couldn't be better with only a five minute walk to Porthcurnick Beach and slightly longer in the opposite direction to Porthscatho. The Roseland is THE most beautiful part of Cornwall and we have been coming back to this area for 16 years now. It always feels like coming home!

Mrs Stanbury

We have recently returned from a week in this lovely cottage. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with everything we could possibly need. There is a meadow close by and a large field from which there is a view of the sea and beach and beyond to Nare Head and which was ideal for dog exercising etc. The voucher we received as a welcome gift was spent at the Portscatho Stores which is only a short (maybe 10 mins?) walking distance away and has a good range of provisions. The coastal path runs just below the property, easy walking one way...a bit more taxing the other! We would thoroughly recommend this little cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway in beautiful surroundings. We have been coming to this area for many years and love it!

Mrs Scott

Fabulous barn in a beautiful location very close to beach , headland and village of Portscatho. Jean and Doug excellent hosts who have fitted out their barns to the highest specifications , highly recommend we will be back .

Mrs Matthews

A lovely cottage in a great location. Owners very friendly and helpful. We will return again as we really enjoyed our holiday.

Mrs Harrington

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and a good size for 2. The location is perfect - 10 minutes to a wonderful beach (and the Hidden Hut) and 15 minutes to the village. A really relaxing holiday.

Mrs Shepherd

Bryher is the perfect cottage for two with everything we need for a comfortable stay, and we keep going back because it’s dog friendly and a short walk from Portscatho and Porthcurnick beach, both places that we love.

Mrs Mottershead

Home from home perfect location and stunning property can’t wait to return

Mrs Nicholls

This was our third visit to Bryher. It has been completly refurbished to a very high standard. It is extremely comfortable and all the fixtures and fittings are superb. The position of Bryher is ideal as it is an easy stroll to Portscatho where there are several good places to eat. The coastal path is minutes away with glorious views along the coast. We will certainly be returning to this lovely property.

Mr Rawle

Exceptionally well appointed accommodation in a quiet position above Portscatho with easy access to the coast path and village.

Miss Lavender

The property exceeded our expectations. The 'home-from-home' feeling of the property and the care that had gone into it, not to mention the lovely owners, ensured our first visit to Portscatho was perfect. Thank you!

Mrs Meadows

Wonderful stay at this beautiful little cottage. Totally refuelled batteries. Immaculately clean, well equipped and the welcome biscuits were delicious. We will definitely return the paddock and orchard to exercise our dog were a super bonus and the glimpse of the sea stunning. Wonderfully friendly local people had a fabulous time .

Mr Sarsfield-Hall

This is a lovely property in a great location with nice touches e.g. quality of the kitchen utensils and crockery. Location near to beach and the onsite paddock make it an ideal holiday for the dog.

Mr Farmer

The cottage is cosy, well equipped & very close to the beach. (372yds). It is in a lovely part of Cornwall with so much to see & do.

Mrs Collis Hunter

This cottage is perfection, clean, cozy, wonderful location, there is really nothing more we could have wanted.

Mrs Nicholls

Lovely place for two, excellent location and very high standard.

Mrs Hedges

Great for dog owners with lovely dog-friendly Porthcurnick Beach just a few minutes away & easy access to the coast path. All round very comfortable stay & will be looking to return.

Mrs Macdonald

The cottage is in a good location but we had no phone signal and the wifi was down. Our rating would have been 5 star if did not have the communication issues.

Mrs Shepherd

Bryher is a comfortable cottage in a wonderful location close to Portscatho and within a few minutes walk of Porthcurnick beach. There's a field adjacent to the property to walk the dog. The owners are very friendly and helpful. One of the best self catering places we've stayed in.

Ms Coventry

Mr Booth

The perfect cottage in the perfect Cornish location. Book without any hesitation.

Mr Sarsfield-Hall

Lovely place with excellent interior and very dog friendly with lovely orchard and paddock plus fantastic beach just down the hill.

Mrs Shepherd

Bryher is a lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful location with spectacular views of Gerrans Bay from the grounds. The coast path and Porthcurnick beach are a few minutes' walk away, with the village of Portscatho about a ten minute walk away. Everything you need for a restful holiday, and the paddock is great for the dog to run about. We love it and so does our border collie!

Mrs Kimber

A very comfortable cottage. Excellent position for beach & walks. Useful having bus service near.

Miss Fletcher

Excellent location and lovely barn conversion. Dog friendly and well equipped. Great value for money.

Mr McFadyen

Feasible with a wheelchair, but you need a willing carer. Been coming to this area for 40 years.
