Reviews

An Morah – The Dolphin – is a contemporary detached house with stunning views of Gerrans Bay and Nare Head. This lovely property has a large living-room with a wood-burner and flat screen television, a well-equipped kitchen with a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine and four bedrooms with the great flexibility of 'zip and link' beds in two of the bedrooms, which you can choose to have set up as twin or super-king size beds.

Outside, the decking-area runs the full length of the house and there is a further enclosed attractively planted garden area with a lawn. The property offers parking for two cars on the driveway – such a bonus in a popular coastal village setting.

Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mr Booth

Lovely family home in a beautiful location.

Mrs Rowley

First time we’d booked through Classic cottages, toe service has been really good from the beginning of our booking and throughout. We chose to add cancellation insurance after we’d booked which was no problem and also due to a bereavement of one of our dogs we contacted them about a refund for the amount we’d paid for him to stay in the house and again there was no hesitation. Would highly recommend booking through classic cottages and we will definitely book with you again.

Mrs Harvey

Wonderful, family friendly house, in a great location. Having 4 king size/super king bedrooms was invaluable for us. Location within Portscatho is great, guaranteed parking and only a few minutes stroll down to the shop/pub/harbour/cliff walk. Decking is user friendly and lots of seating. We had a brilliant time at Ah Morah & look forward to coming back

Mrs Perkins

The property is well located midway between two good places to eat - both walkable and both accept dogs. The house is very spacious and fairly comfortable. There is a view across Portscatho from the raised deck at the rear including a sea view but that is substantially obscured by trees in the neighbouring gardens. Parking is easy and it is a very quiet location. This was the second visit we have had to the property and it was reassuring to see that two pieces of negative feedback that we gave last year had both been addressed. The surrounding area is very beautiful and at the time of year that we have visited (mid may) exceptional quiet and peaceful.

Mrs Bailess

We enjoyed a great week at this lovely house. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is absolutely perfect, being close to the coastal path and great beaches. Great places to eat, in particular the Standard and Plume of Feathers. Will definitely be back!

Mrs Lobo

We had a lovely stay. We’ve been to Portscatho a few times before and this house is in an excellent location. Really bright house with a lovely outdoor area.

Mrs Ambrose

An Morah is a very good holiday house. It has absolutely everything necessary to make one’s stay fabulous. Great location and very spacious. Even better than the photos. Would definitely stay there again.

Mrs Irish

This a lovely house in a beautiful village with stunning views over the sea - would strongly recommend!

Mr Senior

A lovely property in a great location for the local beaches, village shop and pubs.

Mrs Sibley

Great stay in An Morah with our friends, this being a twice arranged holiday due to the pandemic! Very clean and comfortable house with wonderful views to enjoy on the terrace. Very well located for shop and pub and also lovely coastal walks.

Mr Baxter

Beautifully located house, very well equiped wonderful views. Easy fire to use firewood logs and firelighters supplied. Bit of squash with six adults round kitchen table, otherwise excellent, thank you.

Mrs Ward

Fantastic location and a good size property.

Mrs Haslam

An Morah - the location is excellent, very well located for shop and pubs and also lovely coastal walks. Portscatho is a lovely place to stay. The house is good, but there are some issues that need to be sorted, overflowing gutter at the back, main shower door, kitchen cupboards not shutting properly. A good deep clean is also needed, the property is looking tired and needs some TLC. However, these issues did not stop us having a comfortable enjoyable stay and we would consider going back.

Miss Neville

Loved the location, great to walk to the pub, shops, and beaches. Amazing coffee shops and places to eat as well. House is beautiful, spacious and has everything you need. The garden is perfect for a dog and a little sun trap in the mornings. Amazing sea views everytime you wake up. A perfect holiday

Mr Milne

A very lovely, warm & welcoming property in a great location. We've stayed in lots of holiday cottages across the UK over the years, but two of the best have been in Portscatho - An Morah is one of them. Would definitely stay here again.

Mrs Bellamy

Spacious accommodation, comfy beds. Lovely sea views from decked area and close to all amenities in the village. SMART television would have been nice especially if visiting in winter months.

Ms Mason

A lovely house with all you could ask for, from a holiday home.

Ms Roberts

Fantastic house in great location. Lovely holiday ??

Miss Bastin

Just a couple of minor things:- a small hand towel would have been useful in the downstairs cloakroom. It was not a great problem as we had spare towels in the bedrooms so used them. Also, a glass/mug for toothbrush and toothpaste would be good in the bathrooms.

Mrs Marney

An Morah was one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in for some time - definitely the best for location. It had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday and was extremely comfortable. We look forward to staying again.

Mr Laws

Perfect accommodation for a week break in Portscatho . The property ticks all the boxes - and there no better way to start the day than watching the sunrise over the bay from the garden decking whilst enjoying your breakfast .

Mr Furzeland

The cottage exceeded our expectations the garden was dog friendly & the local pubs were truly dog friendly. the coastal walks were very good the weather was good, would be happy to recommend & will be booking again for next year

Mrs Glover

A lovely property with spectacular views, which we would visit again.

Miss Gogerty

Great comfortable house in a good location for easy access to the village and tourist attractions.

Mr Phelan

The cottage is accurately and well described in your list.

Ms Crossley

Airy, beautiful views, very comfortable and convenient.

Mrs Sykes

Lovely view of the sea.

Mrs Favill

A fabulously cosy, stylish and comfortable cottage, . Offering sensibly laid out accommodation that offers plenty of space with great parking and super easy access to the village and the sea and beach. We will be back

Ms Sutton

This property truly exceeded our expectations. We have previously stayed in another of Roseland Holiday Cottages excellent properties and was apprenhensive about renting a 'pet friendly' house - absolutely no need to worry. The cleanliness of the property was first class, no evidence of previous pets. The house is beautifully appointed with all the conveniences needed for a comfortable, home from home stay and spacious too. The views from the rear of the house are stunning! Can't wait to return next year...

Mr Trillwood

Great situation for beach and village. Views wonderful.

Mr Darling

A good base to explore Roseland. Comfortable & situated in an excellent location.

Ms Crossley

A comfortable, well-appointed property full of natural light with wide views of Gerrans Bay and easy access into both Gerrans and Portscatho villages.

Mrs Denyer

I would not recommend this place in its current state!
