Set in what has to be one of the most picturesque coastal villages in Cornwall, this darling of a cottage is an absolute delight. Presented with much care to showcase the original features but with all the necessary mod-cons for modern day living and bedecked in calming shades of blues and cream, Inglenook Cottage is a little nest of loveliness, perfect for the super romantic or for a cosy getaway with friends.

Step through the sweetest of front doors (please mind your head) and the open plan living-room awaits, where snuggling up on the comfy sofas is a must in front of the open fire set in the most impressive inglenook fireplace, there's a reason for the name. The bijou kitchen is incredibly well stocked, and meals can be enjoyed perched at the breakfast-bar or preferably out on the large sunny terrace but with such a great choice of places to eat and drink on your doorstep, you can take a well-deserved break from the cooking as well. In fact, the famous Crumplehorn Inn is the shortest of strolls away, it's sure to become your local during your stay.

You are assured a good night's sleep in the dreamy cottage bedrooms with luscious linens adorning the most comfy of beds. The main bathroom, the en suite to bedroom one, has the luxury of a bath as well as a separate shower but those sleeping in the second bedroom haven't been forgotten as they have their own en suite cloakroom.

You can live like a local from Inglenook Cottage and immerse yourself in all the delights the village has to offer. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (now known as National Landscapes), Polperro is a stunning destination for a holiday, an artist's utopia nestled in a harbourside valley with colour washed cottages lining the narrow winding streets down to the beautiful, sheltered harbour. There are numerous shops, and galleries as well as pubs, restaurants and bakeries along the route from Inglenook Cottage down to the heart of the village offering something for every occasion from a celebratory meal to a scrummy ice-cream and hearty Cornish pasties.

Mrs Ritchie

Thankyou , our stay in this cosy , classy cottage was just perfect ??

Ms Bishop

Great location - we went end of December so was lovely and cosy curling up on one the sofas with the open fire roaring Enjoyed soaking in the bath after long coastal walks, which was in addition to the good shower Well equipped kitchen Handy bus stop outside which meant we could leave the car in the designated parking spot And pub only a few steps away, serving food and local beer Would stay again

Mrs Ashley

Lovely cottage. Had everything we needed. Perfect location, would highly recommend!

Miss Vautrinot

Inglenook Cottage is a delightful place to stay, you won't be disappointed. Ideally situated for the stroll down to the harbour, with numerous places to eat and drink and lovely shops to browse local crafts. There are daily trips by boat to Looe, Fowey or along the coast, fabulous. Highly recommend a trip to Lansallos beach, car parking available- there's a bit of a walk down to it but well worth it as it's dog friendly and a lovely place to swim and picnic, and quiet. Walk from Polperro to Talland Bay is also a must, beautiful views. Highly recommend Inglenook and booking with Classic Cottages is always straightforward, staff are helpful and friendly. Thanking all concerned.

Mrs Mears

Beautifully furnished cottage, clean with a very well equipped kitchen , comfy bed and lovely fluffy towels. Perfect for 2 but I wouldn't recommend for 4 as the only shower/bath is the main bedroom ensuite and Downstairs accommodation is small but very cozy with just a narrow breakfast bar to eat at. The garden is not secure, but blocking the path with the 2 dustbins was enough to keep our well behaved lab in and safe. I would definitely recommend this cosy pretty cottage for 2 . Great location for coastal path walks with our dog with pubs, coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets all close by. Lovely welcome pack provided , scones/ jam , flowers and dog treats too, much appreciated.

Mr Kemp

Go for it . It's one of the Best cottages we've stayed in and we fully recommend it . The location was excellent , it would have been even more better if the Sun was out . The locals were excellent , helpful and very friendly . Loads to do within an hour's driving in any direction . Great for walking with or without Dog's .

Mr Whittaker

We booked a 4 night stay in December and were delighted with Inglenook Cottage, upon entering we were greeted with a lovely warm cottage, Christmas tree and lights along with a tray of goodies. The cottage has everything that you could possibly need for a holiday at any time of the year, is tastefully decorated clean and very comfortable.

Mrs Wyatt

Wonderful clean, comfortable, beautiful cottage. Great location - walkable to everything in Polperro. Loved the scones, cream and jam provided to welcome us! Will definitely stay again!

Mrs Cordrey

Lovely cosy cottage, nicely furnished with lovely touches of fresh flowers and scones, jam and cream on arrival! In an excellent spot for all facilities within Polperro yet tucked away from the daily tourists .

Mr Williams

Lovely picturesque cottage, very handy location for the village. Very clean and tidy and well equipped. Perfect holiday destination.

Miss Whitbread

The cottage was in an excellent location and parking on site was very helpful. The bedding in the rooms, towels etc were of excellent quality. The furnishings downstairs were also fine however the television is exceptionally small and hard to see from the position of the sofa. We also felt that a few lamps would make it cosier (not a complaint just a suggestion!). Not having a table to sit at was also not ideal however i should have read that that was the case on the website. We also really missed having a dishwasher!

Mrs Woods

Having never visited Cornwall, this trip was much anticipated. Sadly the cottage was not as expected. Surfaces and carpets were dirty. The outdoor furniture cover was torn, therefore the furniture was grimy and covered in seagull poo. Steps up to seating area are very precarious to navigate, consequently we did not use the area. There is a bus stop terminus across the road, where buses wait every fifteen minutes, they then turn outside the cottage to go to Looe. This is very noisy from the running engines and constant beeping of the buses reversing. Lastly and most importantly, as another reviewer has emphasised, the front door is extremely low. My husband suffered a nasty cut to his head that has only just healed. A small sign saying ‘mind your head’ really isn’t adequate! Really disappointed with the cottage, the cleanliness and the noise. Definitely not tranquil.

Mr Hammonds

Overall, this was a delightful place to stay. We’d recommend Polperro and Inglenook Cottage as a lovely holiday destination.

Mr O'Brien

A very nice cottage in an excellent location for everything in Polperro. Very well equipped cottage and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Mr Wilkins

Beautiful place very much enjoyed the stay. I would recommend the property whole heartedly. Although, we'd also like to keep it quiet, just for us.

Ms Thomas

A comfortable property in an excellent position for Polperro and surrounding area. Generally well equipped and a lovely welcome tray on arrival.

Mr Parsons

Good location with easy parking. Bus stop and pub nearby. Short walk into village, with bakeries, pubs etc. Comfortable cottage, would recommend.

Mr Turner

Lovely cosy and comfortable cottage, perfect for four adults and a small dog. Very good position for exploring Polperro and the surrounding area. Great pub just a short walk away, can recommend!

Mr Barrett

Very Nice well equipped conveniently located property for visiting this and the surrounding areas of Cornwall

Mrs landais

The cottage location, facilities and cleanliness are strongs points. However I will not recommend this place if nothing is done about the protecting the entrance door mantel far too low. The ''mind you head'' is a minimum however some protection should be put in place on both sides of the entrance door. My daughter and I hurt ourselves very badly I strongly believed this is a liability which should be taken care of.
