Trevithick Park

Wow. What a place. Plenty of room for the dogs to run. The whole house is outstanding and it was nice to come back from a day out and jump in the hot tub. The walk to the lake was nice but did kill my legs(my advice would be walk down the field and back through the woods). None of us wanted to leave and can't wait to book again. 10/10.

Our second stay at Trevithick and we can’t wait to come back again. Just down the road from our beloved Mevagissey, it’s in a perfect spot. The lake is a great walk but not suitable for the unfit or those with mobility issues as it is very steep. The gardens are beautifully kept, and the welcome afternoon tea was a lovely touch. This was our second visit to Trevithick Park. The property is exceptionally clean and warm and welcoming in very cold April conditions! The cream tea was lovely thank you. It’s a great house for a big family holiday with plenty of space for all. The garden is fabulous but unfortunately we didn’t get much use of it because of the weather. The walk to the lakes is beautiful. The hot tub is a welcome addition too. We had a great family holiday and although the house is in a rural location we found plenty of places to visit - Mevagissy, Caerhayes castle and beach, Porth Farm, Fowey, and the North Coast - Polzeath, Padstow and Boscastle. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

Our family of three generations (+ dog) had a wonderful week at Trevithick Park despite very changeable weather! The house was truly home from home - well equipped kitchen and comfortable living space and the welcoming cream tea was really appreciated. The outdoor space was great for games for our grandsons and we enjoyed walking down to the beautiful lakes. Also the hot tub was a real bonus and much enjoyed. Wonderful beaches within 10 minutes drive where we were able to launch our dinghy for some fishing. Ideally placed for The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project, Mevagissey and Charlestown. We would highly recommend this property and would love to come back.

Not very easy to find, but a great property overall with lots of great facilitaties. The hot tub, barbecue and large living room were great and the enclosed garden was ideal for the dog and two young children in our party. Very clean and comfortable and well equipped throughout.

What a fantastic cottage, private, perfect location for dog friendly beaches. Good facilities, plenty of space for us and our dogs. Loved the lake area ,a nice walk each evening for us and the dogs. The ground floor bedroom and en-suite was perfect for my elderly Father. This is a hidden gem and we plan to return in the very near future.

Trevithic Farm is in an ideal location if looking for a quiet and tranquil place to stay. We found the property had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxed self catering holiday. All the rooms and general areas were very clean and the furniture etc of a good standard. Immediately felt like being at home and able to use all the equipment and facilities without any concern for their condition. We always arrange for the bulk of our food/provisions to be delivered soon after arrival when we do this sort of holiday and there was plenty of space to store everything in cupboards, freezer and fridges. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Mixed family, age 11 to 80 and dogs loved our Christmas holiday.

This is a beautiful, spacious, well-appointed house set in a lovely landscaped secluded garden, located just 50 minutes walk (or 8 minutes drive) from unspoilt child-friendly beaches. Ours was a party of three generations aged between 65 and 1, and we all simply loved it.

We had the best holiday at Trevithick and cannot wait to come back. The walk down to the lakes is a must but the hill is very steep (not great for those less able). The hot tub is a lovely bonus and the afternoon tea on arrival was a fab surprise.

We love our stays at Trevithick Park. It is a home from home and we have already booked for later in the year! Clean, comfy and a surprisingly cosy feel for a quite large house. Can’t wait to be back there again soon.

Super house with plenty of room for two families. Great location easy access to local beaches.

Beautiful quiet surroundings. Loved the lakes although the steep hill to get to them isn’t mentioned- ok going down, coming back up a bit strenuous!

NICELY LAID OUT COTTAGE WITH LOTS OF SPACE, IN & OUTDOORS. WELL FITTED OUT WITH LOTS POTS/PANS/GLASSES CAFETIERES etc. ALTHOUGH NOT USED IT WAS NICE TO HAVE OPTION OF ELECTRIC COOKER/HOBS FOR THOSE NOT AU-FAIT WITH AGA'S. OWNER HAPPILY INTRODUCED HIMSELF & IMPARTED LOTS OF LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. GREAT STAY TOM

Cottage very cosy in lovely quiet secluded area. Very good location to visit many attractions and beautiful beaches nearby. Eden project, lost gardens of heligan, mevagissey and Charlestown all within 30 minute drive. Cottage great for large family. Owners very friendly and helpful.

I took my family on a much needed holiday as not had one for years. This cottage was lovely and welcoming. Wonderful touch on arrival a lovely cream tea. Hot tub was amazing. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely return again

Perfect!!!.i would highly recommend trevithick park.this was our second stay but for longer because one week is not enough but got to say our two weeks staying there was not enough we didn’t want to leave.you have to see it to know how perfect it is

If you like being away from it all with peace and quiet then this is the place for you. Well equipped and comfortable. Little Cornish paradise - we’ll be back!

Lovely property, for a large family to stay

When we arrived , we definitely had the wow factor , from the sweeping drive , the gardens and the cottage , and the homemade cream tea on arrival was a very welcome treat . The cottage was equipped with everything you needed for your stay , and even though, we were 3 couples and 2 dogs there was enough space for us all, we loved the kitchen bird clock , guessing which bird was which, we had an amazing holiday , and we will definitely be returning

Wonderful property with very helpful and friendly hosts next door. Liked: .Spaciousness, great for our grandchildren Meals on the Patio. My only problem was driving in the narrow Cornish lanes which I should be well used to by now.

This property is exceptionally well maintained and equipped. The house was immaculately clean and we were so grateful for that given the worries surrounding Covid. The house is set in beautiful grounds and the land and gardens were a joy to spend time in . We would definitely stay here again and the family send our grateful thanks to the owners.

The property was fantastic - spotlessly clean & extremely well equipped, in fact it’s one of the best holiday houses we’ve ever rented. . The grounds were stunning & well kept . We all would love to return and experience it again.

Excellent holiday

We absolutely loved the house and the surrounding area. Very comfortable, exceptionally clean, all hand soaps in every bathroom and toilet, cleaning products and anything else we needed. I would definitely book this house again. Has to be the best one we've ever stayed in. I would recommend this house to anyone.

The cottage was lovely and spacious for five adults, plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Woodland walk and lakes lovely for the dogs. Nice and quiet.

A beautiful, peaceful location with plenty of space in lovely accommodation for multigenerational family / friends to enjoy time together. I highly recommend this gorgeous cottage.

Above expectations. Fabulous place. It was expensive, but it was perfect. Loved the peacefulness of the place. Although the owners live on the same site, we didn't see them. Lovely cream tea on our arrival... much needed after a 7 hour journey there. We were a family all arriving from different parts of the country and at different times. My sister arrived earlier and was allowed access earlier than stated, so always worth asking if you arrive earlier. The weather wasn't great - UK weather, but the lounge was huge and we spent nights in playing board games. We had taken our own, but everything there, including books etc. Scored satisfactory for reception services as not sure what this is. If it's about how we were greeted then this would be excellent as stated above.

The cottage was Perfect. literally 10 out of 10! Fantastic setting and gardens, equipped to a very high standard, and nothing was overlooked. The owners are lovely and totally approachable - and the cream tea on our arrival was a lovely touch. I couldn't recommend it highly enough - and we hope to return very soon!

Perfect location to explore this side of Cornwall, within easy reach of many starred tourist attractions such as The Eden Project, Pendennis Castle, Trelissick Garden, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and many more. The owners of this cottage have clearly given every consideration to the comfort of their guests. This was evident from the outset as we were greeted with the most delicious Cornish cream tea. The bedrooms are airy and bright and adequately furnished for holidaying visitors, with the inclusion of a hairdryer in the master bedroom. A spacious enough property to allow for everyone to be together if they wanted, or to spend quiet time to themselves. An abundance of jigsaws provided evening entertainment, along with a few board games too which were supplemented by some from home, a raucous time was had by all!! The kitchen is equipped to the highest of standards with a utility room at the other end which not only had a stand alone cooker, but a very necessary extra fridge/freezer and space to feed the dogs. The hot tub was a particular bonus after some hard days of walking to relieve tired muscles. The dining area by the kitchen was perfect for family meal times and a good place to play card/board games. It was a joy to be able to see a very busy bird feeder outside of the kitchen window and numerous species visited. It took us a while, but we quickly worked out that the bird noises we were hearing were coming from the kitchen clock which marked the hour by a different bird call. Some might find this a little annoying, but on holiday it brought a smile to our faces!! The outside area is perfect for all, plenty of space for children and dogs to run around. The owner keeps the grass well maintained and the landscaping is delightful. The walk down into the valley and lakes from the property was so peaceful and tranquil, such a joy to hear the birds sing in the stillness of the countryside. The testament to this property is that everyone wants to come back again for a family holiday; everyone got along with each other which isn’t always easy when your ‘children’ are grown up,in their 20s and 30s, with grandchild in tow too!!

Perfect place to spend the New Year Facilities were faultless Cleanliness was faultless Loved the Christmas tree and all the Christmas lights outside. Gardens and house were kept to an extremely high standard. Definitely want to visit again

This is an absolutely beautiful house. It exceeded expectations. It felt like a home from home as soon as we stepped through the door. The cream tea waiting for us was lovely and the owner came over to welcome us and show how everything worked. The house is well furnished, spacious and was ideal for our party of six adults and four children. The kitchen is superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need. The lounge was huge with big, squashy, comfy sofas. Lots of books and games to play for both adults and children alike. There was plenty of wood and kindling for the wood burner. The bedrooms were spacious, plenty of storage space to put everything away, good quality bedding, quilts and pillows and lovely, fluffy towels in the spotless bathrooms. A fantastic house - we didn’t want to leave!!

Trevithick park was an absolute dream property to stay in, plenty big enough for our family of 6 adults and two dogs. Perfect place to relax but also close enough to well known tourist attractions to enjoy.

The property was beautiful and the grounds it was set in ware ideal. The location was very central in Cornwall and most areas were accessible within the hour. The owners were very accommodating and were very helpful and informative. We would love to return one day.

The cottage is spacious and very comfortable for a family holiday.It is in the middle of beautiful countryside but very central to travel to all different attractions and villages.The cottage has character with lots of wooden beams and I would imagine it is very cosy in the winter with the log burner.Our visit was in the summer so it was lovely to come back after a day out and sit outside,have a barbecue or use the hot tub.Everything you could possibly want from a Cornish holiday is found at Trevithick Park and the welcome cream tea on arrival is a lovely gesture.Thanks for a lovely stay.

A lovely house and ideal for families. We spent a week with our children and grandchildren and particularly enjoyed the privacy of the house even though there were other holiday cottages nearby. The owners are lovely and we felt that they were always on hand should we need anything but did not intrude in any way. All in all a very nice holiday property which we would recommend to anyone.

One of the best houses we have stayed at. Would heartily recommend.

We were two families sharing this beautiful home for half term week. We had a fantastic holiday! The house had everything you could need and exceeded our expectations. The house is beautifully presented with great grounds and is dog friendly. The owners are really welcoming but not interfering. We would love to stay again!

We had a wonderful time staying in Trevithick Park, the home is everything and more that we wanted for our getaway. We stayed for a week and didn't want to come home, the location of the house is great although when looking on a map it seems everything is at a distance but anything you could want is at most 15 minutes away. We would love to come back and have already looked at booking again for the end of the year!

Beautiful cottage, very clean, would recommend to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

This cottage is a must, as we have never stayed in a cottage that was so well equipped. the location is perfect, so peaceful and relaxing. all the reviews i read before i booked this for my wives 50th Birthday were all true. The grounds were large and well kept, ideal for our dog to enjoy himself. We are even think about having a Christmas in the future, we enjoy our stay so much. A big thank you as this was the perfect location for us to celebrate this special occasion. The Cream tea waiting for us on our arrival was perfect, after a long drive.

We had a really warm welcome on our arrival but even though the owners were next door they did not intrude. The property is truly exceptional, really comfortable & well equipped & in a lovely location, the walk to the lakes is not to be missed. We were sad to leave when the time came & cannot recommend this cottage highly enough.

A wonderful cottage and a great walk down to the fishing pools. An ideal location and space for a family get together. This is the third time we have been and found many different places to visit. Football golf is a must!

Trevithick Park was a lovely cottage with plenty of room for everyone and in a a great location. Great garden. Nice welcome from the owners and a lovely cream waiting for us on arrival.

I don't think the photos do the cottage justice, it is much bigger and nicer in reality, really lovely and comfortable and very well equipped. Owners are also very helpful and friendly and do not interfere with your stay even though they are close by.

Beautiful house in a great location, everything you could need while away was provided and there is definitely more than enough room for the number of people it states. Great for dogs and the owners are very approachable and helpful.

The gardens and wildlife walk were exceptional. We didn't like the constant humming of the hot tub but appreciate some people like having one available. The lovely cream tea the owners provided for our arrival was an unexpected treat. We would definately like to return for another holiday.
