Winwalloe Cottage
Tucked down a leafy lane with birdsong in the air, the rural tranquility of this pretty semi-detached cottage will delight those looking for a break from busy daily lives.
Just inland from the coast and set next to Pinnock (4203) and along from the friendly owners' home, Winwalloe Cottage is an ideal retreat from which to explore the lovely countryside and coastal areas of this relatively undiscovered part of Cornwall.
The cottage dates back to the 18th Century and has been updated in the most sympathetic way to provide lovely, comfortable holiday accommodation, decorated throughout in soft relaxing colours. The boot-room, perfect for drying off dogs or damp children after a day on the beach, leads into the well-equipped kitchen/diner where a rustic pine kitchen table provides the ideal space for leisurely meals. An open archway goes through to the cosy sitting-room where you can toast your toes in front of the open fire.
Stairs lead up from the kitchen/diner to the two good-sized bedrooms – one with a king-size bed and the other with twins – and family bathroom. Outside, the sheltered patio is a great spot for evening drinks and star-gazing on clear, balmy nights.
One medium or two small, well-behaved dogs are most welcome, so your canine family members can also enjoy a wonderful Cornish holiday.

Mrs Hudson
Cottage very clean and a good overall standard .Well equipped. Shower temper-mental either cold or get burnt which was annoying. The hosts were welcoming and willing to help if required. Good location to visit other parts Cornwall . Track to the cottage fairly rough . Really enjoyed the stay .
Ms Sibbons
The lower floor of the cottage has laminate flooring which is easy to keep clean and the boot room is so useful in dealing with dirty dogs on a wet day. There is storage for shoes and many coat hooks in there. The lounge is cosy, having comfortable seating and soft lighting and a fire basket was provided on request. The kitchen is well equipped and has seating for four. Bedrooms are cosy and beds very comfortable. The bath and shower provide plenty of hot water.
Mr Axford
We stayed Winwalloe Cottage for a week at the end of August and had a lovely time. It is very peaceful and quiet, perfect for getting away from it all. Would recommend the Penhale Pantry farm shop which is just up the road as well as Lansallos beach if you want to get away from the crowds.
Mr HARVEY
Lovely cottage with very friendly hosts. Great to enjoy the bird life. Lots of places to visit including Lanhydrock NT & the Duchy garden centre.
Ms Sibbons
We have stayed at Winwallow Cottage twice now and each time have had a warm welcome from its owners and a lovely, warm and comfortable stay.
Mr Rodgers
We enjoyed 5 nights in September at Winwalloe cottage. One of a small group of cottages with friendly helpful owners onsite, it is a peaceful out of the way location, but an excellent base for exploring by car - Lerryn, Mevagissey, Fowey being just a few of our favourite places. There are many fabulous countryside and coastal walks including the South West Coastal path with its many coves and beaches. We enjoyed a good meal at the London Inn at St. Neots - friendly welcome, and also a drink at quaint old pub/restaurant, The Crown Inn at Lanlivery, very welcoming landlord. The cottage is comfortable and warm, would recommend and return.
Mrs McCormack
We have very recently returned from a 7 day stay at this beautiful cottage. The cottage is so cute and lovely. Great location for children and dogs. The cottage is in a very rural location which is so peaceful and quiet. The open fire in the living room is great for colder evenings and the beds are really comfy. On arrival we met Laura and Tim ( owners) and they are great, so friendly and helpful nothing seems to much trouble. The homemade cookies on arrival were a great treat with a coffee. The cottage was very clean and tidy and there is everything you need. Thank you for a great stay.
Mrs Wood
Beautiful lovely cottage in good location to get about. Nice friendly hosts on hand if needed . Very clean and everything you need with little garden to sit out privately . Our family will stay there again as it’s a bit of heaven !

A lovely quiet cottage in a really good area , ideal for sightseeing ,extremely welcoming and helpful owners
Mr Baker
Would highly recommend the cottage. The owners were really helpful and the location is ideal as it is handy for both coasts.
Mrs Favell
Perfect cottage for a relaxing week away from it all but close enough to some lovely beaches and places to visit. Would recommend The Plough at Duloe and The Coddy Shack if you don’t fancy cooking but the kitchen is very well equipped.
Mrs Bishop
A delightful cottage in a beautiful peaceful location, within easy reach of both coasts. A warm friendly welcome from Laura and Tim with freshly baked cookies on arrival. A perfect week, would thoroughly recommend a holiday at Winwalloe.
Mrs Clinnick
Tim & Laura were very friendly & approachable. Loved the extra personal touch of cookies on arrival & dog treats. Am sure we will return.
Mrs Tupling
The boot, drying, cloakroom was a godsend. Beds, very comfortable, we all slept really well. Our 2 grandsons loved the cottage and really enjoyed their time on the farm. The youngest overcame his fear of dogs playing with very gentle Meg. They benefitted from being away from gadgets etc., loving the fresh air and nature. We all loved walking through the woods.
Mrs Carr
A delightful cottage in a beautiful rural location , exceptionally well presented, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Within a few miles of the south eastern coast of Cornwall with lots of things to see and places to visit, a quiet and relaxing base for a holiday in this area, highly recommended.
Mr Masey
We enjoyed 6 days in this beautiful cottage. Our hosts were very welcoming and cookies were scrumptious! We loved the location and coming back after a day’s sightseeing we would sit in the pretty garden and think ‘this is bliss’. Not been to Cornwall in years and now wonder why? We were blessed with good weather and visited so many places. Loved Talland Bay but getting to it is not for the faint hearted! The Duchy garden centre, Lost gardens of Heligan, Polperro, Fowey, Polruan, Mevagissey all worth visiting. Would absolutely love to come back in the near future. Thank you Laura and Tim.
Mr Perkins
The cottage, garden and countryside around were beautiful and Laura & Tim are excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would love to stay at Winwalloe Cottage again at some future time!
Miss Dixon

Beautiful cottage, friendly owners, with 2 lovely dogs that greet you everytime they see you. Resident donkeys Hilda and Moby captured our attention and made us take a daily walk to feed them carrots. Really enjoyed our stay at Winwalloe, will one day return.
Mrs Evans
Comfortable cottage and owners very friendly. Easy to drive to some lovely beaches and walks in Cornwall - Fowey, Looe, Polkerris beach, Talland Bay
Ms Anderson

Mrs Willoughby
Beautiful cottage. Tastefully decorated and well equipped. Very comfortable.
Mrs Dallas
Lovely cottage - very clean and well equipped. Hosts Laura and Tim very nice and helpful. The cottage is in a courtyard setting along with four other holiday cottages. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there are some nice walks on the property itself so nice and private. Our dog enjoyed making friends with the two donkeys, Hilda and Moby who are very friendly and like being fed carrots! All in all a lovely break and wished I could have stayed longer.
Mr Bailey
Simply furnished , comfortable , very clean and warm cottage with all the necessary facilities in a peaceful and relaxing location. We both enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return again to explore the area further.
Mr Goodland
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Winwalloe Cottage. Although the location is reasonably rural, it offers a peaceful and tranquil retreat that is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful coast and towns nearby. The dog friendly cottage was warm and comfortable after our days out. Laura was really friendly and helpful throughout our stay and we hope to return in the future.
Mr Thomas
Wynwilloe Cottage is a lovely out-of-the-way cottage in a very secluded location. This was our second visit and there will almost certainly be a third !
Mr Russell
Lovely cottage, enjoyable stay. I'd like to think if we return to Cornwall we would book Winwalloe cottage again.
Mr Pullen
Delightful farm cottage in the heart of the countryside, recommended!
Mrs Woods
We had a fantastic stay at the cottage, it was the perfect home from home escape in these unusual times and so peaceful! The secluded location meant for a great night’s sleep even with a baby, yet it is near so many great walks, beaches and other attractions. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, taking the covid precautions very seriously, which is very reassuring. Really recommend the fabulous Plough pub, unmissable! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to book again.
Mr Rees
It rained one day
Mrs cheeseman
A home from home where everything you could possible need is available for you to use. We enjoyed a lovely log fire on a chilly evening and it was so cosy. The beds were very comfortable and ample storage for clothing. Good size fridge and a small table top freezer that did the job. Couldn’t have had a a more relaxing holiday as we did there. The owners Laura and Tim were there for our arrival and very welcoming, including some homemade cookies which were delicious.
Mr Whyton
This is a well thought out and very comfortable cottage that has everything you need. Parking is easy and there is a nice garden area if you just want to chill. Looe and Polperro are easily reached but our favourite place was Talland Bay, which had every amenity as well as a stunning beach. Keeping enough change for parking is a pain so I recommend the 'just park' app on your phone which you can keep topping up if you want to stay longer without rushing back to your car to feed the meter.
Mr Rees
This cottage exceeded our expectations and was very cosy and comfortable. We looked forward to returning each evening for a pleasant and very peaceful evening in front of the log fire. The hosts were very welcoming, as were the dogs, donkeys and most of the sheep. It seems quite isolated but it very close to Looe, Polperro, Charlestown, and Fowey. We would also recommend a visit to Lanhydrock. We would highly recommend this cottage.
Mrs Burgess
A beautiful hidden gem. Wonderful stay, the kids absolutely loved it not wanting to leave.
Mr Hose

Mr Cash
Great comfortable cottage, perfectly fitted out with everything you need. Owners lovely and made us very welcome! Home baked cookies a real welcome treat.
Mrs McDonald
A magical journey once we reached Scawn. Through tiny twisty roads of tree tunnels. A couple of buzzards showed themselves to us on numerous occasions, sometimes right in front of us. Lovely setting to have cottages.
Mrs Stevenson
Lovely cottage in the countryside to use as a base to visit both north and south coasts of Cornwall and some outstanding local attractions such a Lanhydrock and Lost Gardens of Heligan and the not to missed inspirational Eden Project.
Mr Thomas
The cottage was superb. Not even a spec of dust visible and freshly baked cookies left for us on arrival. Everything that you could want is provided. I cannot praise this property too highly. We had an amazing stay.
Mrs Garland
An extremely well presented and comfortable cottage in a lovely, peaceful location, ideal for exploring northeastern Cornwall. Highlights for us included walking on Bodmin Moor and along the Southwest Coast Path and a visit to the National Trust's excellent cycle trails at Lanhydrock.

Ms Graham
This is a lovely cottage in a great area, ideal for exploring Cornwall. Easy to get to places like the Eden Project and Bodmin Moor. Beautifully rural and quiet but easy to get to the supermarket. Owners were really helpful, friendly and unobtrusive - the birthday bottle of wine went down well ! Thank you
Mr Frampton
Had a great holiday in Winwalloe. Its a lovely cottage, in a beautiful and tranquil countryside location. Ideal if you like to be away from the hustle & bustle of town life, yet everything you need in terms of shops and places to visit is only a short drive away.
Mrs Vesely
Beautifully decorated cottage set far off the beaten track. Although the owners are in the house next door they did not interfere with our stay but were always available to help.
