Lee Cottage

A wonderful cottage, in a wonderful location. The owners were welcoming and friendly. The cottage had space, it was warm and everything was there . It is a great location for exploring Cornwall and an extra plus the dog loved it.

What's not to like?!!

Lee cottage is a great place to stay, it's very well equipped comfortable and cosy. The owners are lovely and welcoming great to have fresh milk and biscuits after a long journey. Wonderful location as a base to explore the area. The view from Lee cottage is outstanding Would highly recommend this place !!

We stayed 10 days and used it as basis for trips into the surroundings. It's very remote and quiet but fully equipped with a beautiful setting and landscape. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed every single day.

It was a lovely stay at Lee Cottage lovely and clean, comfortable and in a great location. Had everything needed in the kitchen a regular home from home, beds were pretty comfy to. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful rural setting. Lovely views from the conservatory across rolling countryside, extremely peaceful with great dog walking right from the door. The cottage is equipped really well and the beds are very comfy. The owners are really lovely and could not have been more accommodating, friendly and helpful. It’s a great area to visit with lots do do for all ages and some great places to eat out. We definitely hope to return.

Great cottage, really suited to our expectations and requirements. I can't see anyone being disappointed so long as they read the description. This cottage is tucked away and in someway remote, however, if you're looking for a 'real get away from it all' experience this could be it

Peaceful location, cottage didn't want for anything. Owners were friendly and very helpful.

Wonderful stay at Lee Cottage. Laura and Tim were fabulous hosts, welcoming us on our day of our arrival and checking in making sure everything was OK. Cottage itself was perfect and everything we required and an added bonus we had a lovely view of the surrounding country side and donkeys which made our little one very happy!

The Cottage was excellent in every respect with ample room for 4 adults and a small dog that enjoyed life in the large conservatory. The on-site owners were extremely welcoming yet not intrusive in anyway. The drive to the cottage was typically Cornwall but all part of the experience! All in all “ highly recommended “.

Maybe say the cottage is situated down a very narrow lane,so beware of oncoming traffic and drive carefully.

Beautiful and comfortable cottage in a stunning, tranquil setting. We really enjoyed our stay. It's good to be aware that the garden isn't enclosed, so bear this in mind if bringing dogs.

Really can't praise this cottage highly enough. We received a warm welcome from the owners, who were always on hand but not intrusive at all. Because we had a fairly hectic schedule, our one regret is not spending more time in the cottage itself - it's absolutely gorgeous, and we, our kids (and dog!) loved every second of being there. The kids are already asking when we can go back.

Really lovely place to stay. Lots of great views. Peace and quiet. Plenty of wildlife. Great dog walks. Everything you need to hand. We would definitely go back again. Welcoming hosts. Exactly what we wanted in a holiday home.

We felt that the particular care has been taken with the cleanliness and hygiene precautions required because of the pandemic. The cottage completely met our expectations. This is somewhere very special and rural, where it is possible to escape and enjoy tranquility. The friendly owners live on site and are available to give suggestions of places to visit depending on your requirements. We hope to return!

A beautiful cottage - delightfully decorated, immaculately presented, well-stocked with amenities and spotlessly clean. A lovely tranquil and relaxing setting and very helpful and friendly owners. In terms of our booking - this was all very easy and efficient, questions were answered swiftly, helpful information was provided and we felt very confident booking with you, especially in these times of Covid. Very peaceful, lovely views across the open countryside, we did not see any deer but evidently they are quite often seen in the field at the back of the cottage, wonderful bird song and very inquisitive squirrels!!

The Owners are on site, they are so welcoming and helpful. This is a wonderful cottage with plenty of space around. The location is remote but that's part of the charm (don't be put off by this, once you get your bearings it's easy to get around and there's little traffic you'll meet on the lanes). We had a wonderful time during our stay and happy to stay around the cottage if we didn't fancy going anywhere.

The property exceeded our expections . It was spotlessly clean and the conservatory in particular was delightful - especially since we had poor weather and were not able to use the outdoor facilities. The dog walk to the bluebell woods was much appreciated. Our hosts were very pleasant and helpful.

Great location, everything on-site or to-hand, no need to venture out (provided you take your own food, although the owners did say 'takeaways' knew the location!). Alternatively, the glorious coastline is only a short(ish) drive away.

The property is fantastic, certainly the cleanest cottage we have ever arrived at. It is well equipped, the space is well planned, the fittings and furniture high quality and well maintained. The shower is amazing (we live in a hard water area!) Laura & Tim (the owners) were welcoming, chatted when we had the opportunity, but (and this is the important bit) were in no way intrusive. They had other guests staying (they have four properties to let) and we felt like we had it to ourselves, with our two dogs, we had the best week. Thank you so much all for helping us to enjoy our week away. We are hopefully returning with friends/ family when times allow, and take a number of the cottages. The beautiful Golitha Falls are just a short drive away, we found Seaton beach lovely, and the stunning fishing village of Polperro is also a short drive: try the Three Pilchards for a warm welcome and great food at Polperro, and also The Plough at Duloe; again fantastic service, and a great Sunday roast.

Very well organized. Welcoming owners who were always ready to give advice which was always useful. We had a wonderful stay and loved the cottage. It was a good starting off pint for many tourist sites. It was quiet and we had very restful stay.

A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay at this lovely cottage. The cottage was extremely comfortable and well equipped with the bonus of the conservatory. There are some narrow lanes on the approach to the cottage. If you stick to the route given, then the sightlines are good, there are plenty of passing places and it is well worth the drive. In these Socially distanced times, Laura and Tim and the dogs were friendly and welcoming hosts and always had time for a chat.

A lovely property for a break. So peaceful and an added bonus of having a garden. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Although you are well into the country, you are only about 15 minutes from Liskeard, so very handy. The owners were very helpful and their land and woods are great for a walk. The donkeys in the neighbouring field were very sweet!

2nd Visit - AWESOME our 1st time with our new dog, with gorgeous walks from the back door, Dog Biscuits, Towel and Bowl all provided attention to detail for your four legged member of the family 100 %. The owners Tim & Laura go out of there way to make you feel welcome and at home. Tranquil, peaceful a home from home, we can recommend this property for a amazing getaway, you wont be disappointed, Can't wait for the next return to Lee Cottage. Like I said before. If you're want to have a quiet place to stay and you're not that pleasure loving person. This is the place to be. We staid several days just in and around the cottage. Loved every day of it! We have staid in different cottages the past 22 years. This one is by far most the best due to the quietness. In equipment it's not the top, we had better (more expensive) ones. But hey, what do you need during your holiday.

We have just spent an excellent week in Lee Cottage. A beautifully furnished, spacious and fully equipped property set in an exquisite location. The owners were always on hand if you needed anything but fully respected our privacy. The local walks from the back garden revealed some breathtaking views, not to mention the donkeys which loved a carrot or two !!! The location was excellent and would recommend Polperro, looe, Fowey and Falmouth (Pendennis Castle) as places to visit.

One of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in; warm and comfortable, very quiet even with other cottages nearby. High standard of fittings and furnishings and very clean. Really good shower. Plenty of space for 4 people. Hard floors throughout so bring slippers. Conservatory a great bonus. Lovely views, nice garden, pleasant walk directly from cottage door alongside fields and down to woods. Owners friendly and welcomed us with home made cookies. We would be very happy to stay again if we returned to the area.

The location of this cottage was great for exploring the local area, it was very comfortable with fantastic views over the valley. The owners Tim & Laura were very welcoming & helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & look forward to returning.

Lee cottage is very spacious, beautifully furnished and very restful. Tim and Laura are great hosts and always ready to help if needed. Lovely home made cookies on arrival. I would have no hesitation in recommending any of the properties on Lee Barton Farm.

We had a lovely week at Lee Cottage - the homemade cookies and the jar of dog treats were a nice welcoming touch. The location is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing and the cottage spacious and comfortable. We would recommend Lee Cottage to anyone looking for a base in Cornwall away from the hustle and bustle.

Loads of room for a family of four. Beautiful walks and countryside/beaches nearby. Excellent hosts who looked after us - amazing homemade cookies waiting for us on arrival was a nice touch.

Lee Cottage exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful little gem in the heart of the Cornish countryside. It is clear the owners have put a lot of thought into the decor and personal touches around the cottage. The weather was poor during our stay, so we had to spend a lot more time than usual indoors and it was a real home from home. We loved the conservatory and the piano and the beds were so comfortable. We were disappointed we didnt get to explore the gardens as they looked lovely and secluded. Highly recommend!
