Immerse yourself in rural life and revitalise the senses at the wonderful Dannett House. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, amidst rolling pastures, wide open skies and wonderfully fresh air, yet within easy reach of the delights of the coast, this is the ultimate countryside retreat for large family gatherings, special celebrations, friends' reunions and simply any excuse to get together.

Unpack, unwind and meet the neighbours: some free-range chickens, comical guinea fowl, sheep grazing in the meadow, the farm cat, Dusty the donkey and Silver the Shetland pony, they are such a wonderful couple, you'll be smitten.

This blissful retreat packs quite a punch and will delight young and old alike as there's so much to do. So let's start outside. You can discover nature's delights along the woodland walks or cast your line in the fishing lake. The hot tub beckons you to just relax and chill or you can challenge yourselves to a frame or two of snooker, a game of darts or even table-tennis in the games-room, to see who gets the bragging rights at the dinner-table. And what a dinner it will be, whether served up in the farmhouse kitchen, relaxed in the garden under the open skies or turned into a real celebration, dining semi al fresco style on the huge table in the party barn - it's a real treat.

Step inside and homely warmth abounds with comfortable and cosy interiors waiting to welcome you. There's room for 18 with a choice of two lounges to spread out watching flicks on the TV, relaxing with a good book whilst someone feeds logs onto the wood-burner or playing games into the wee small hours.

The kitchens, yes there are two of those as well, are the epitome of country living with oodles of space for all to help out and everything you need for large scale catering .

After all the fresh air, you'll sleep like a log in the blissful silence that abounds. With a choice of nine gorgeous bedrooms to cosy you up for the night, two being on the ground floor, ideal for those less mobile or who maybe want to sneak out to the kitchen for a midnight feast! The remaining bedrooms are on the first floor, four being on one side of the house and three on the other. Please note, Bedroom six can be set up as an inter-connecting room with bedroom three or have a separate access from the second set of stairs (the door between the two rooms can be locked). Please let us know when booking whether you would like the rooms interconnecting or separate access during your stay.

Sharing the delight of this wonderful setting is the owner's son and family, who farm the land. They are close by but leave you in peace to enjoy your time together.

Dannett House is a wonderful location for a holiday. The house is beautifully maintained, clean and welcoming. The kitchens are well stocked with everything you could need. We were a family party of 15 and had lots of space to be together in the large lounge or take time out to relax in one of the many spacious bedrooms. The games room was a great favourite as was the hot tub. The party barn is a fantastic space to eat outside and the grounds are designed with children of all ages in mind. We could not have asked for better hosts, they were thoughtful and considerate and wonderfully kind - their welcome made us feel at home from the start. I would highly recommend staying at this property and would not hesitate to go back. Thank you for making our holiday so special!

Miss Cowley

Dannett House was a fantastic choice for our group week away. We had a mixture of adults, children, teenagers and a dog and at no point did we feel that we were under each others feet (which worked well for a giant game of hide and seek!). The location of the property was perfect - close enough to shops and town if we needed anything, whilst also being in a remote and quiet location so you really feel ‘away from it all’. There is plenty to do in all directions from the ‘bright lights’ of Plymouth, to the sandy shores of the coast and the tranquility of the country. The house was perfectly equipped with everything we could have needed and the owners were easily on hand if we needed anything extra at all. The only downside was that we didn’t get to utilise the outside dining area as the weather was not kind!

Mrs Curran

You won't be disappointed, a wonderful property, especially for large gatherings, it certainly gave our group of nine everything we needed and more.

Mrs Bentley

Dannett House is a beautiful rural farmhouse. It is spacious and very well equiped. Our family of fourteen people, ranging in age from 4 to 77 years, spend a wonderful week over New Year at the house. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations, the hot tub, the games room and having enough space from everyone to fun fun, do great cooking and to chill out. We would highly recommend this lovely property.

Mrs Tomson

What an amazing house to stay in for Christmas. We were a large family group of 12 adults, 1 baby and 1 dog. Thank you to Gwen and Stephen for being excellent hosts and letting us stay in their wonderful home. We cooked a lovely Christmas lunch and all sat around the large dining table. Then we all retired to the lounge with enough room for us all to enjoy the evening playing games. The games room was great fun and we enjoyed playing the table tennis and darts. Even though the weather wasn’t great the younger members of the family enjoyed the hot tub. Thank you for the lovely Christmas trees and decorations it made for a wonderful Christmas. We now have some lovely family memories to keep forever. We all would recommend this amazing house. Thank you again Claire.

Dr Davies

An absolutely fantastic place for a large group of people. The property is very well equipped, beautifully clean and tastefully furnished.

Ms Baylis

Beautiful spacious house, has everything you could possibly need. Beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful stay

Ms Simpson

We had a wonderful week at Dannett Farm. The property was perfect for a large family (15 of us spanning 4 generations) to get together. Had the weather been better we would have made more use of the outdoor dining area and bbq, but the large table in the kitchen meant that when it wasn’t nice enough we could still all get together over dinner and share what we had been up to during the day. There is something for everyone in the property and opportunities to all be together or to go off in a smaller group to play in the games room, go for a walk, use the outdoor play equipment or even grabs bill from the collection there or do your own thing in peace. The rooms were beautifully equipped and other than a first aid kit (which we hadn’t anticipated needing) it was difficult to think of anything that the owners hadn’t thought of to do their utmost to make sure you had a pleasant stay. There are many attractions within easy reach for all ages and tastes from pleasant coastal walks, typical Cornish fishing towns and harbours, National Trust / English Heritage sites, bike rentals and for those thrill seekers among you the adrenaline quarry. Plymouth is a short distance for those of you who enjoy shopping - we can’t provide a review about the outlets or parking there as it is not something we did…although some of our party did go to watch the Championship football match there!

Mrs Payne

We had a wonderful stay at Dannett House as a group of 16 (8 adults, 8 children across 3 generations of our family). The house is beautiful, with more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. We were delighted when we arrived and saw that it is even bigger and better than the pictures suggest! We also made good use of the garden (the children loved the trampoline) and the outside barn for eating all together. The owners were always very responsive to any queries we had. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodations to any large groups.

Mrs Hall

We had a very enjoyable stay at Dannett House with three generations of our family. The owners were very helpful and took the time to come over and show some of us their cattle, which was very informative. Facilities were great, grounds and games room amazing. Everyone loved visiting the donkey and pony each morning. The properties were very spacious for everyone to spread out in. Bedrooms were lovely and beds very comfortable. The hot tub was used every day. We were lucky with the weather and this gave us the opportunity to use the outside party barn for eating. We went to the beach and visited many places during our week in Cornwall.

Mrs Gliddon

This is an amazing property for a large family gathering - I highly recommend it - lots of space so it can accommodate little people and places for adults to chill - we loved it.

Mrs Clark

I celebrated my 50th at Dannett Farm with my family. There was 18 in total. The cottage is stunning and so tastefully decorated. So much space! There was everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. High quality appliances and every utensil you could possibly want! The beds were so comfortable! The hosts were amazing and quick to answer any questions we had despite running a busy farm. There was even a welcome pack for our dog, Bella! I would not hesitate to recommend Dannett House and we look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable birthday!

Mrs Thomas

This is a fabulous property for a large gathering. We stayed with 3 generations to celebrate a milestone birthday and the accommodation offered everything we needed, lots of space for everyone to spread out, comfortable beds and sofas and a large dining space to accommodate us all together. The owners are warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The hot tub was a big hit with our guests especially in the evenings. The property has a real country farmhouse feel with the wood burner roaring away in the lounge. There is a short woodland walk available on the doorstep, otherwise the coast is just a short drive away. In the warmer weather we could see how the party barn would be a welcome space to sit and enjoy alfresco dining.

Miss Dillon

A beautiful place to stay in gorgeous surroundings. We found the house amazingly well equipped and spotlessly clean. Our family had a truly memorable weekend celebrating my mum’s big birthday and we are already planning our next trip back. Our hosts Gwen and Stephen were very welcoming too!
