Dannett Farmhouse is quite simply charming! Approached along leafy lanes in an idyllic countryside setting, with far reaching views of rolling fields and pastures, this semi-detached 400-year-old farmhouse is the perfect escape away from it all, yet if you want to explore the treasures and delights of the glorious south Cornish coastline they are only a short drive away.

Wonderfully welcoming, Dannett Farmhouse is beautifully presented, cleverly combining traditional character and charm with modern day style and flair. The fabulous farmhouse kitchen/breakfast-room, complete with its obligatory range cooker (an electric oven is also provided), is the epitome of county living and the ideal place for all to enjoy hearty holiday breakfasts. The sitting-room beckons you to relax and watch a family film on the huge TV snuggled up in front of the wood-burner, which is sure to keep you warm and toasty whatever the weather.

The four bedrooms are gorgeous and the beds dressed to impress with lovely throws and cushions, one bedroom is on the ground floor, perfect for those who are less mobile or would like a little more privacy.

Step outside and fire up the barbecue to enjoy meals in the large sunny garden, the games-room (shared with Dannett Stable) provides great entertainment for young and old alike, and there are miles of beautiful woodland walks to explore and even fishing lakes for you to cast your line - it really is quite special. For an added touch of luxury there's also a hot tub, where you can sink into the bubbles and soak your cares away - bliss!

Sharing this country idyll is Dannett Stable (4702), perfect if friends and family want to join you, along with the owners' son and family who farm the grazing sheep and cattle in the neighbouring fields, and not forgetting Dusty the donkey and Silver the Shetland pony, free-range chickens and guineafowl who are quite likely to make an appearance at some point during your stay - it's your very own Countryfile!

Miss Sears

We came to visit Dannett for my Mum’s 60th and it far exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved the location and being able to watch the lambs is the paddock was an added bonus. The kitchen had everything you needed (and more!) and we loved the supply of firewood which was much needed after a day exploring. Beds were comfortable and cozy and there was an abundance of fresh towels if needed. We didn’t get to meet the owner but her daughter in law was extremely approachable and helpful too. The only downside to staying there was having to come home!

Ms Goodwin

There were four generations in our party and we all absolutely loved everything about Dannett house. The minute we walked through the door it felt like home. The cottage is so well equipped and spotlessly clean. My Granddaughter (8) especially loved the donkey, shetland pony and goats and was able to pet them. We had great fun in the evenings in the games room and there wax an amazing undercover outside seating area with twinkly lights to sit and have a BBQ. We went in mid September and were incredibly lucky with the weather. The whole 4 day experience was absolutely perfect. Gwen our host, popped by to check everything was ok but she was never intrusive and we felt like it was our own home. I'd thoroughly recommend this beautiful cottage.

Mr Arthur

Comfortable house lovely large kitchen .

Mrs Knighton

The hosts Gwen and Stephen were so kind and took my son and I in an hour early. The heavens had opened and we had to retest to the car from sitting outside at the park nearby. Gwen welcomed us in, made us a cup of tea and fed us cakes! What more could you ask for?! The kitchen space was so enjoyable and the outside dining area was a delightful space where we played games late Into the night. All round fabulous .

Mrs Hayward-Leach

A lovely, comfortable cottage; cosy yet large enough for two families and a dog! Our New Year's stay was made even more festive with the Christmas tree and decorations. We'd love to visit again!

Mr Borg

A lovely holiday in a home away from home. Dannett Farmhouse is welcoming, cosy and equipped with anything necessary for a memorable family holiday. The animals, especially the cat who became part of our extended family, made it even more special. Dannett is a great base for exploring Cornwall. Our preferred sites were Looe, Polperro, Fowey, Mousehole, Marazion, Falmouth, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Plymouth and the Eden Project. The Cornish pasties and the cream teas were the highlight and we are still debating whether the cream should be over or under the jam! Finally special thanks to the hosts Gwen, Steve and their family for their discrete yet reassuring presence on the farm ensuring we had everything we needed. We will be back!

Mrs Froud

We had a wonderful family holiday during our 2 week stay at Dannett Farmhouse. Such a well presented and comfortable picturesque farmhouse in a very quiet and scenic location. We had a warm welcome from Gwen and Stephen who worked so hard in making sure that we had a great holiday. 10/10 Excellent

Dr Prince

Absolutely fantastic property, so well equipped, spotless, owners Stephen and Gwen couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. Even put fresh flowers in house! Comfy beds, spacious rooms. Perfect
