Bumblebee Cottage
As cute as its name, Bumblebee Cottage is an utterly delightful little bolthole for a family or couple looking to enjoy the delights of Cornwall's charming south east coastline. Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a private terrace and fabulous garden, you are the shortest of drives to the traditional fishing town of Looe and the seaside villages of Seaton and Downderry.
Tucked away down a country lane, which in late spring puts on the most stunning of displays, this is the place to kick back and relax. Step inside and this small but oh so perfectly formed semi-detached cottage, greets you with a warm welcome. Rustic shelving, a chunky farmhouse style dining-table and cosy sofa await you in the open plan living-room and children will adore the sweetest of twin bedrooms on the ground floor. The luxurious family bathroom is a real treat with its gorgeous roll-top bath, so it will be bubble baths for the younger members and bubbles of a different kind for the adults - there's even little shelves either side to place your glass! The spacious double bedroom takes up the whole of the first floor complete with its own en suite shower-room, ideal when someone is enjoying a long lazy soak in the family bathroom.
Your private terrace invites you to enjoy meals al fresco style, cooked up on the barbecue and should it turn a little chilly the outdoor log-burner will keep you cosy. The garden is a dream, a large area of lawn, small orchard, play area and a garden bench perfectly positioned to enjoy the far reaching views across the open countryside, highly recommended for viewings at the end of the day accompanied with your favourite tipple. The main garden is shared with the sister cottage Barn Owl Cottage (5015), but there's plenty of room for all you to find your own space or even better make new friends or why not bring some friends with you and rent both cottages together.

We would highly recommend Bumblebee Cottage if you are looking for a peaceful place to go back to with a wonderful garden.
Mr Tilley
Bumblebee cottage is a perfect spot for a small family getaway. Perfectly in the middle of nowhere to escape, but close enough to everything you would need like supermarkets and places to visit. Very peaceful, everything you need for a lovely break.
Mr Falconer
Very comfortable cottage with a nice garden in a good position a few minutes from Seaton. A few gripes about the plumbing and short beds!
Ms Lea
We chose this cottage for it's proximity to coastal path and it did not disappoint, allowing us to walk in each direction to Polperro and Portwrinkle. The gardens are outstanding and were perfect for sunny evenings with a G&T. Lots of space and areas to sit. The cottage itself was cozy and perfect for 2. The main bedroom has a great ensuite and ample storage and is a good size.

Ms Watson
A wonderful little cottage, perfect for our young family. Incredible garden and we loved the beach at East Looe.
Mrs Ireland
Lovely clean cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Mr Mellanby
Cottage is excellent, the garden is the stand out highlight especially for our dog who loved it and the children who loved the swing. There is nothing to fault, the place is beautiful, and the scones and clotted cream on arrival went down very well! Only comment is no instructions for any of the utilities, though you can Google instructions, having them available would have helped.
MRS BRENNAN
An excellent well maintained clean cottage. If you have mobility issues you may find difficulty in the pedestrian access. Parking is great enough for the largest of vehicles. A map where the property is would be a help as we had trouble finding it even with Sat Nav. The nearest town Looe is quaint but looking a bit tired . However the bay at Seaton is quite excellent. The garden at the cottage is the crowning glory of the property it is well kept secluded and quite beautiful with lush lawns and wild vegetation . If you are looking for a quiet retreat at a great price we thoroughly recommend it.
Mr Fricker
Lovely property and location.
