Sunday House West
Originally the village chapel, Sunday House West has been sympathetically converted. Imaginatively designed and furnished to a high standard, this impressive property is situated in the centre of Gerrans, just a short walk from the harbour and beach.
The three bedrooms are set on the ground floor and a spiral staircase leads up to the open plan living area which has wooden floors and spectacular arched windows, along with a Smart TV and Netflix so you can catch up on your favourite box sets. Sofas flank the roaring wood-burner and the dining-area has a large antique pine dining-table. A further spiral staircase leads up to the mezzanine.
There is a patio in front and a small area of lawn outside for guests to enjoy al fresco eating.

Mrs Gilmour
Lovely place to stay. Well equipped and very comfortable especially when the stove was roaring… Highly recommend and would come again. Portscatho such a pretty Cornish village.
Mr Denness
VERY DISAPPOINTING: During our stay there was building work going on both sides of the house which started and 8am and went on until 6pm. Unfortunately I had a hip replacement 10 weeks ago so I had planned to sit in the garden some of time but due to being overlooked and the noise I felt uncomfortable as there was no privacy. I would suggest that people are informed of this as it did ruin my holiday.
Mrs McKendrick
Absolutely unique property. !!! Atmospheric !! Well equipped . Great location. Little gem
Mr Kennedy
We really enjoyed our week - a real atmospheric conversion of a church, which is a perfect place for families.
Mrs Knight
Great stay at Sunday House West, our third stay. Great location, very comfortable and perfect for families to get together. Thank you again for a lovely stay.
Mrs Thomas
A comfortable holiday home in a great setting. Perfect for a family holiday with plenty of space for everyone.
Mr Popham
We would have given high praise if the wood burner had been usable (it smoked and was not usable) and if the hot water flow in the bathroom had been better.
Mr Tellman
Lovely, well equipped property in a gorgeous part of Roseland. Easy access to coast paths, beaches and other places of interest to visit.
Mr Good
A wonderful place to stay, as a visitor to Portscatho and Gerrans for over 50yrs now I loved this converted church, it certainly had the wow factor!
Mrs Marshall
We had amazing time, we have now stayed at Sunday House East and West and would definitely book again. A beautiful home, well appointed and in a great location. Thank you for a lovely, albeit wet, holiday!!!! We can’t wait to come back.
Mrs Malone
Lovely comfortable property in a fab location ideal for our family get together. The Roseland peninsula is a hidden treasure! The beaches at low tide were fantastic. The village shop sells almost everything & The Plume of Feathers served tasty food & had a great atmosphere. We hope to come back soon!
Mr Butcher
Lovely place, close walking distance to the beach. If you have dogs the spiral staircases can be a pain especially if you have dogs that don’t do stairs like mine. The sun shines blindingly into the living room with no way to shade the big window unfortunately, we had to reposition the sofas to watch the tv. If you turn right as you leave property there is an alley way which will take you straight down to the coastal path which is easier on your legs instead of the steep roads.
Ms Gray
This is a well positioned cottage with plenty of space to spread out both inside and outside. The log burner was lovely and cosy in the evenings. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were was nice with fluffy towels. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the property was good value. However the spiral staircase whilst pretty were not practical for us and sadly this would deter us from a further stay. The joys of getting older!!??
Mr Riley
What a wonderful place to stay, it has everything you need for a week away from home. The hidden hut is a must visit with amazing food and a wonderful beach to spend time with family. Nice big walks with lots of sea views. Would highly recommend staying here.
Miss Graham
Amazing house, great space. Stunning area. X
Mrs Coleby
As above ... Beautiful converted chapel, well equipped, clean and cosy. Great location for the harbour at Portscatho and lovely walks down to the creek and boatyard at Percuil. Good pub just down the road and another in Portscatho 10 minutes walk. A lovely venue for a long awaited family holiday.
Miss Payne
Absolutely gorgeous house, I would stay again but one thing to note is that it is in a quiet area. There are 2 pubs close by, one down the hill plume of feathers, lovely pub, great staff (but very steep to walk back up!!) one shop close by that does sell everything you'd ever need, take aways in the area very limited and a drive away to get to a super market or out for tea.
Mrs Brennan
What a little hidden gem, so close to the sea. There are some lovely walks along the coast with spectacular views. You can always watch the sunset through the giant windows in the living area. If you haven't been to the Hidden Hut before, it's an absolute must. 15 min walk down to the beach and some incredible food.
Mrs Jones
Lovely unique property in a beautiful area of Cornwall, with a short walk to the beach and pubs.
Mrs Leedham
This is a lovely place and very beautiful building ... warm .. homely .. beds comfy and so dog friendly. We would definitely book again

Very comfortable, well equipped with plenty of space and plenty to amuse if you don't want to go out and about too much, very nicely placed for access to the beach, coast path, the amenities of Portscatho.

Sunday House West is a fantastic holiday house. Much thought and care has been put into making this house an excellent base to explore the Roseland Peninsula
Mr Tucker
Chapel is superb and location next to two good pubs and a well stocked shop and a lovely beach, also ideal for coastal walking , would definitely return.
Mr Hutchinson
For the sake of elderly people or for a dog, there could be a warning about the spiral staircase which could be a hazard.
Mrs Smith
Loved every minute spent in Sunday House!
Mrs Turner-Oxenham
A superb family holiday let in a beautiful location - perfect for a relaxing break with dogs, children & Granny. Thank you very much.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sunday House West. Very spacious accomadation in a quiet setting. The house has all the amenities to make it feel like a home away from home. Loved all the quirky features to show it used to be a chapel.
