Sunday House East

Sunday House East exceeded our expectations! The house is so spacious and well laid out and was absolutely spotless on arrival. The kitchen is one of the best equipped we have ever stayed in for a holiday property. Generous supplies of soap for etc and other kitchen accessories such as cling film. Bedding and towels were all of a high standard too. Two pubs within very easy reach, both offering good food, was a real bonus, Can’t wait to come back!

Loved our stay at the Sunday House. Truly unique accommodation with loads of space and lots of well thought out touches. Private, dog safe garden and a new, well equipped kitchen. Coast path is easily accessible on foot from the house, along with the two excellent local pubs. Loads to do within a short distance without the need to drive. We would come back.

Lovely as always, we had a super stay, thank you. Location, size, amazing style, good equipment, nice lighting, flexible space, games room, lots of parking. Not so happy about going home! In our view Sunday house east is the best holiday home in Gerrans/Portscatho!

A stunning house in a very good location. Plenty to see and do within easy reach. The Hidden Hut is a must as is the coastal walk to St. Anthony Head. A great week's holiday with the family.

A good comfortable spacious excellently equipped property with a large garden and parking, in a quiet village, good pubs nearby, It is easy to explore Roseland by car or foot as near the coastal path, climb up from Portscatho quite steep but manageable if able bodied. My multi aged family had a great holiday and I would certainly recommend a stay at Sunday House

Well equipped cottage, good location, nice pub and walks nearby. Probably better to visit when weather is dry not during stormy season!

We love this property. Gorgeous in decor, super well stocked, lovely welcome hamper… couldn’t have been happier. - super clean - kitchen very well equipped - beautiful lofty living space - fabulous location - Gerrans and local beach 10mins on foot - handy to have a washing machine and dryer with having kids - all round winning property that doesn’t break the bank for an out of season stay .

A very beautiful stylish, quirky but comfortable place to stay, well thought out and well equipped. Excellent parking on site. We were a party of six adults, and I can see that a family party would be equally at home with older children, especially as there is a fully stocked games area. However, with all the stairs, especially the spiral staircase to the mezzanine floor I think that it would be extremely hazardous for small children ,

Great place to stay with family. Beautiful very comfortable well equipped. For us it is in a good place as we like to dump the car and walk in different places. Easy for the coast or creeks.

Can not recommend Classic Cottages highly enough, we had a few minor problems which the team dealt with quickly and efficiently. The beds were clean and comfortable.lovely clean fluffy towels. Plenty of crockery and cutlery and the kitchen was well equipped. The garden was very nice always somewhere shady to sit. We found the location a little challenging. We expected the place to be a little noisey due to the design of the building but their didn't appear to be any insulation between the ground floor (bedrooms) and the living space above. The old building also provided excellent insulation to keep the bedrooms cooler during the day. Plenty of space for the family. The local residents were very helpful and welcoming, especially Margaret a delightful (elderly) lady who does the flowers for the church and is a mine of information if you are lucky enough to meet her it is well worth stoping for a chat. All in all a great week, Classic are the best holiday company I have used and am looking for my next property.

Wonderful property. Comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Clean and bright decor. Great parking and garden. The beds are comfy and the linen spotless. Plenty of kitchen utensils, cutlery, etc. The showers blast out plenty of hot water and the central heating was effective if needed. Can’t think of a single negative! Wouldn’t work for anyone with mobility issues as the living space is upstairs with bedrooms downstairs and there’s a steep hill to walk up/down when going to Portscatho - great for walking off the Cornish pasties! Really loved it.

An interesting, quirky property, comfortable and which exceeded our expectations . Pristine , well equiped, except there were no ice trays, to the detriment of our G.N.T.s. Please note as we intend to book this property next year, We were otherwise so impressed. An ideal spot for hiking and garden viewing.

This beautiful converted chapel was a perfect place to stay with its location close to Portscatho, ample parking for all the family, quality furniture and facilities. We had a fabulous weeks despite the inclement weather. We would highly recommend Sunday House East to any large family or friend groups and would happily return in the future.

We all had an excellent holiday, property was as expected and we had everything we needed and more. Location was wonderful with lots to see and do both near and far. Plenty of beaches to take the dog. Good places to eat out, The Hidden Hut, Plume and Feathers and the Boat House are a must. The property set us up well for a great two weeks in Cornwall.

Beautiful property, so much space indoor and out. We really didn’t want to leave. Village had everything you need, Royal standard pub home cooked food was lovely and only 3-5 mins walk . One of the best properties we have hired , you wouldn’t be disappointed booking this. Thank u

Very helpful staff who could answer all my questions. Stylishly furnished house which provided plenty of space and equipment for our family. Loads of interesting local guides, maps and books about the area and things to do. Plenty of good quality games and toys for all ages. Very well maintained property which was spotlessly cleaned.We found the whole experience excellent. Thank you.

One of the nicest and most beautiful places we´ve ever been in holidays. We stayed there for 2 weeks in June 2017, now for 3 weeks in May 2018 and we ´ve asked for a reseravtion for next year May 2019( 3 weeks ) again. I think there is nothing more to say, or ? :-)

The chapel itself is an amazing building and a lot of thought has gone into the accommodation plan. Plenty of bathrooms/toilets. Very welcoming and very warm chapel.

Couldn't of asked for a more comfortable stay. Beautiful cottage with beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed watching the sunrise from the living room. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

A wonderful fresh, open, comfortable and well thought out layout of a converted chapel it appealed to all the ages in our extended family.

When you love silence, perfect room design and architecture, more than enough space, in an amazing area with all equipment you need for perfect holidays......go to this location ! Everything is so clean....the bathrooms, the kitchen and dishes, sofas , carpets, floor....I can go on and on..... We will never forget this holidays in this nice little village with friendly people and a very familiar atmosphere. I think it´s unnessecary to say, that the landscape around is more than beautiful and amazing ! Thank you for all !

We spent one week in Sunday House with our friends during Easter time. We felt like at home, close to the beautifull beach, calm and chill area, beautifull full equiped house, furnished with taste and a lot of free space for each of us. We deffinitelly would recomend Sunday House, so happy that we have the oportunity to be there.

A wonderful house for a family or group to stay in, well proportioned and laid out and with lovely bright cheery decor. An easy walk to the town and lovely beach and well worth a walk along the beach to the Hidden Hut for lunch! Although all open plan upstairs there is plenty of space and areas for everyone. Overall a really happy, enjoyable stay!

A wonderfully light and spacious place to stay. Sunday House East is full of character, comfort and style. There are so many things about this clever chapel conversion to enjoy from the fabulous ceilings and windows to the fun animal cushions, pretty bedding and quality pictures on the walls. Every room has been thoughtfully furnished and to add to this the walled garden is another lovely space. Not only is the house a great place to stay the location is terrific too, a quiet and pretty village with sandy coves just a walk away.

We thought Sunday House East looked great from the pictures on the internet and once we were there, it exceeded our expectations. A characterful, spacious and comfortable holiday home that was great for our two families to relax and explore the local area.

An unusual cottage that retains the quirky feel of an old chapel with its high ceilings and solid stone walls. A large, practical space for a couple of families, providing plenty to do inside and outside along with good kitchen and leisure facilities, comfortable beds, powerful showers and a games deck. Can get a bit gloomy on a dull day, decking is a bit noisy and it's a steep walk down to the harbour/beach. Quite expensive, so worth using the maximum capacity of 8 comfortably..
