Mrs Adamson
Would highly recommend for a short break for two adults. Great location - very accessible to south coast visits to Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey, Charlestown, Fowey, Carlyon Bay. Comfortable cottage with good quality bed and shower, fully equipped for self catering needs. Excellent off street parking. Very quiet surroundings made for very restful evenings in the cottage.
Mrs Cox
We enjoyed our stay at Meadowsweet. It is very close to lots of attractions and days out. Also great to be able to walk from the cottage to Helman Tor. Very central.
Mrs Taylor
Lovely and peaceful. Didn’t hear a thing in evening. Fast wifi. Pleased with accommodation for ourselves and pooch. Narrow lanes with passing places.
Mr Butler
This is a cosy cottage, just right for 2. The place was clean and tidy, found the kitchen equipment sufficient for our needs and plenty of storage for food items. Narrow lanes need to be negotiated to get there, so be prepared to do a bit of reversing if needed to find a passing place. Good off road parking. We found it ideal for getting to many local attractions.
Miss Demey
A very comfortable cottage in a quiet location. Ideal for exploring the surrounding areas. Well equipped and very friendly hosts.
Mr Evans
A little gem. Great area, great location, quiet and peaceful and very secure feeling. Walking the dog was easy, and the local pub was extremely pleasant to visit and to eat at. I don't think the cottage could have been better equipped, there was everything needed for 2. Excellent state of decoration, and a really comfortable bed.
Mr Rayner
the cottage was just as we remembered it, it gave us the relaxing break we needed! It is well placed to enjoy exploring the area! you must try the local farm shop excellent local food!
Miss Whyte

Mr Gilliam
Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful area - so quiet Cosy and well presented, we loved the cream tea that greeted us on our arrival It was an ideal base for us to explore Cornwall. After a long out at the beach it was so nice to come back to. Our dog loved his stay especially his walks along the country lanes. Will definitely try to come back some day
Mr Wilson
A very clean and peaceful cottage and easy to travel to some interesting places. Coastal villages and the Bodmin railway station is very easy to get to. There is lovely old Inn at Lanlivery for good food. Hope to come back.
Mrs Evans
A well appointed cottage, which is accurately described on the web site. Good value for money. A good position/location to reach well known places such as Mevagissy and Fowey etc
Mrs Mumford
We arrived at the cottage after a long drive to be greeted by a cream tea waiting for us which was very welcome. A lovely location with walks from the cottage and trips for costal walks not too far away. Perfect for two and a dog.
Mrs Saunders
An excellent location to tour Cornwall from!
Mrs Crouch
A clock would be useful, in the sitting room . . . Otherwise, Meadowsweet is a lovely property. Liked the whole area - boat trip from Fowey; return to the Eden Project after many, many years. Property was well equipped and very comfortable; owner delightful and helpful.
Mrs Neal
We had a lovely stay at Meadowsweet. Great location, close to South and North coasts and many places of interest. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Useful washing machine and tumble dryer in separate barn.
Ms Chapple
A good location in the country .
Miss Leighton
Cosy clean cottage located in a remote, but quiet part of Lanlivery. Pleased with the facilities the cottage had to offer and it was very comfortable. Lots of walks to do close by including Helman Tor which is only a short drive from the cottage.
Mr Walker
We chose this location purely for the flora and fauna and being close to local walks and nature reserves. If this sounds like your bag then it serves it in heaploads. We loved the simplicity and quietness, far away from the madding crowds.
Mrs Charalambides
This cottage is lovely, very comfortable, clean and well equipped -pretty surroundings and in a peaceful location - but close enough to attractions
Mrs Wiscombe
A wonderful location, quiet and peaceful but within easy driving distance of lovely resorts and other things to do.

A Fantastic break a great base to cover this area of Cornwall, the facilities were great as expected and perfect for a short break. I would use this again if I was in the area. Stephen and Sandra
Mr Batchelor
The cottage was very well appointed, clean, bright warm and comfortable. The setting was pleasant and quiet and overall we had no complaints at all.
Mr Gascoigne
Overall an excellent cottage, modern facility's and an amazing time had. The location is very remote and rural with single lanes surrounding, follow the directions given as this seemed to be the best route in to the property.
Ms Brown
Perfect getaway!
Mr Ball
The location is a dream if you want to get away from it all. The lack of light pollution makes the night sky spectacular. Those lanes on approach are not for the faint hearted but very doable. The locals are friendly so passing is easy. The cream tea was much appreciated as was the warm welcome on arrival.
Mrs Conway
A great place to escape from "the real world". Lovely surroundings and waking up to the sounds of the cows and horses was great. The perfect place to chill with a country pub within walking distance. (walking back in the dark is a bit scarey lol).
Mrs Burns
Loved every minute, peaceful, great sunsets', beautiful place for rest & recovery, great hideaway.
Dr Amine
The host Julie is very kind and welcoming. Meadowsweet is a very clean, modern, comfortable, well-equipped, and well-managed property. However – read the property description carefully because there is no wifi! Access to the property is extremely challenging along miles of very narrow, car-width lanes with high hedges on each side and lots of blind corners. I found this access to be terrifying after having met tractors, delivery vans, horses, hikers, and selfish drivers who refuse to back up into side areas intended for passing. Instead they just sit and stare at you, waiting for you to back up regardless of the distance to the passing area behind you. Not fun when there are also cars behind you!
Mr Richards
Liked remoteness, heating and hot water
Mrs Humphries
Ideal cottage holiday especially with your dog. Lovely country walks and scenery. Quite idyllic.
Mr Haines
An ideal property and location for unwinding from the usual stresses, and with opportunities to explore local interests eg Eden Project, China Clay working, Heritage railways and harbours at Fowey and Charleston.
Mrs White
Loved all of it, had a fantastic holiday, lovely cream tea on arrival, lovely owner, Made very us very welcome and our dog loved it.
Mrs Bonds
A delightful cottage in a secluded setting.
Mrs Tucker
A lovely little cottage, in a beautiful position, very comfortable and so peaceful
Mr Gillard
If my wife and I ever wish to come again to central Cornwall we would not hesitate to return to either Meadowsweet or Cowslip, both of which we have now used.
Mr Meldrum
The exterior and location
Mrs Gould
Meadowsweet is a wonderful, quiet, country property that will suit those looking for guaranteed isolation but still within easy walking distance of a pub and central to both the North and South Cornwall coasts. The cottage is well equipped, warm and comfortable. The welcome is lovely. We loved being able to walk from the door without needing to take the car out.
