A really comfortable cottage with a memorable view.

Beautiful house with stunning views. Lovely to wake up to the Fowey estuary view everyday. Loved hopping on the ferry to Fowey and all the walks . Very steep access lane away from carpark , lots of trips to and from car. Very enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely stay in Fairview. The view is absolutely breathtaking! Very comfortable house, lovely garden with that amazing view before you. A beautiful location and a comfortable place to stay. All round lovely!

Fairview is a great property with fabulous views from inside and out, a garden in sunshine all day. Be prepared for the walk from the car park and the steep slopes of the town, backing your car as close to the cottage as possible down Hockens Lane makes loading and unloading a lot easier. This is a simply great place to relax with good facilities in Polruan and without the bustle of Fowey which, nevertheless, is just a short ferry ride across the river. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it even more.

As a peaceful Christmas cottage to relax with family this was perfect. The location and views were delightful. Locals were friendly and a stroll to the local pub was an added bonus. I will definitely be visiting again

We had an amazing stay at Fairview! The house was beautiful, really comfortable and offered everything we could need. The views are absolutely stunning, perfect to relax and unwind. The location is lovely, nice and quiet but with Fowey just a short ferry trip away you have everything you can need. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning some day! Fairview was an absolutely beautiful house with fabulous views. Polruan is quite difficult to access with very narrow roads but once you are there and parked it is easy to catch the ferry over to Fowey. The harbour is only a couple of minutes walk from the house. It is quite expensive to catch the ferry over though for a family of five! The house was very well equipped, beautifully clean and the beds were very very comfortable. You can never tire of the amazing view. The South Coast path is also on your doorstep with fantastic walking and views. We had a lovely stay!

Fairview is fantastic- beautiful property with amazing views in a super little village. It is not very accessible, but as long as you’re okay with this it is part of its charm. We loved the local walks and going across to Fowey. We went in October half term and Polruan was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. I imagine it gets very busy in summer.

Great place to stay for access to coastal walking, local pub, Fowey's facilities and the ferries. All without moving the car!

Polruan is a good alternative to the busier Fowey and just a ferry ride away. The house is spacious, close to the harbour and ferry and the views from all the principal rooms, and the super garden, are unbeatable. The Lugger Inn was friendly, busy and served good food. Once you have navigated the route to Bodinnick the car ferry is a great way to get to locations further west. We have put our reservation in for next year.

Great location if you are fit! Great coastal walks & the cottage is well equipped. It is quite a walk from the carpark with all your gear & a very steep slope to approach of cottage so not for anyone with disabilities. As it is self catering obviously people bring their own food so quite a lot of tooing & froing . No food shop of any significance for miles. The pub food in Polruan was very basic so couldn’t eat there…. Fowey was good for food but last ferry back 7.45pm Polperro & Looe were great. I wouldn’t like to be there when it’s raining!

If you are happy to wander along the coastal path, take the very frequent passenger ferry to Fowey, drink and eat in the excellent Lugger Inn (and Fowey) and sit in the cottage and garden taking in the marvellous view then this is the place for you. Leave the car in the car park!

This is an exceptionally comfortable and well equipped house with stunning views - the perfect spot to escape from it all. The parking permit was much appreciated as access into and out of the village is (as you would expect) somewhat precarious, but you do still need to be reasonably fit and active to get around, particularly when loading and unloading on arrival/departure. The house and location more than made up for any slight inconvenience with that though, and we would whole heartedly recommend!!

If you want a get away from it all holiday and leave the car for the duration parked it’s entirely possible staying here. There’s a little local shop and a bakery, two pubs. The walking is fabulous. Views across the estuary are stunning.

Fair view Cottage is absolutely beautiful. Spotlessly clean and very much a home from home. The views are spectacular and the bed very comfortable. It was lovely to lie in bed and watch the boats coming and going in the harbour. It is also very well equipped so you really can go to town in the kitchen if that is your thing! I would definitely recommend arriving in the daylight, especially if you have any eyesight or mobility issues and bringing food with you for the first night as due to Covid you need to book ahead for restaurants. There are some really beautiful walks straight out of Polruan but again, some of them are challenging so make sure you can handle them. We had a lovely, relaxing week in a beautiful home and can wholeheartedly recommend it.

This is a wonderful cottage with amazing views. However, I would say it's not for older, slightly disabled people as the walk from the car to the cottage entails taking luggage down a very steep slope with steps and, even worse, pulling luggage back up again on departure.

We had a fabulous stay and enjoyed the stunning views over the estuary. Comfortable, well equipped cottage. Lovely welcome tray with local tea, coffee and biscuits.

Another lovely "classic" break. Fairview is a wonderful comfortable and well equipped property with amazing views over the harbour and estuary and a small sunny garden. Easy access to lots of great ( hilly) walks along the coast and inland.

Lovely well equipped cottage with beautiful views. Loved having a morning cup of tea watching the ever changing view. Just need to point out though that this area is not suitable for elderly or disabled people as is in a very steep area.

Fairview lives up to its description on the website, a rare thing often. The views are stunning and cottage comfortable and very well furnished and equiped. Delightful.

This is our second visit to Fairview and we love this comfortable house with it’s stunning views from every window and garden. Polruan is a peaceful location with lovely walks and it’s easy to take the ferry either by foot or car over to Fowey for the shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying there and we can’t wait to return.

Overall a very nice and comfortable property for exploring the Fowey and surrounding areas.

Please add to your discription the fact that this property is only for the very fit and able bodied. All of your properties should have some kind of grading as to accessablty.

A fabulous week at Fairview the views are like looking at a postcard come rain or shine. The cottage has everything you need and what you didn't know you needed.... Excellent.

This property and company are fantastic, we have been visiting polruan and Fowey for 20 years through various sites, and this is definitely our favourite, everything is 100% Been to this one 3 times in 7 months, and will be returning, it’s comfy, inside and out is perfectly suited for a relaxing holiday, don’t want to leave once we’re there... thank you for a wonderful place to enjoy our holiday Mr and mrs shanks Oh and maddie, our jack Russell

The views are to die for and the peace and tranquality of Polruan with the ability to cross the estuary to Fowey for a more lively atmosphere make this an ideal holiday destination. The house is ideally situated but be aware of steep hills and narrow road access.

Fairview is a fantastic cottage. The views over the harbour and across to Fowey are amazing. The interior is beautiful with everything you need for a very comfortable holiday. The car park space close by is a bonus too. We wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

Beautiful views

Exceptional holiday home with stunning views from most rooms. You can while away hours just watching the boats. We went on some great walks. Food in local pubs is excellent, especially fish at the Lugger. It's great fun going backwards and forwards on both the car and passenger ferries. Treated ourselves to dinner at The Fowey Hotel on the last night. Was very good. People in the village are very friendly. We can't wait to go back.

The view over the harbour is amazing! It's perfectly relaxing as the surrounding is so tranquil.

Would highly recommend for winter stay. Warm and cosy with lovely wood burner and plenty of room to relax in if the weather is bad.

This has been our second visit to Fairview. We love the location, the views and the ability to bring our dog. We look forward to visiting again.

A lovely quiet place to stay even in the middle of August. The children enjoyed crabbing and paddling on the quay. The food in the local pub was very good. The cottage had a lovely garden to sit in and enjoy a drink admiring the lovely view.

View from bedrooms was special and the whole house was comfortable.

We enjoyed this holiday more than any other, the property, location and beautiful coastal walks made it very special. The excellent service Classic Cottages provides is second to none! I'm We are definitely looking at dates for next year....wish it could be sooner!

Loved the goody basket awaiting us and the dog blankets were an extra special touch.

A wonderful property in an idyllic setting. I'd never tire of the fantastic views over the estuary and town of Fowey opposite.
