Nestled in the most unique, tranquil and breathtakingly beautiful setting (in an old quarry, no less!), Tresahor Lodge is the perfect getaway for couples and families alike, within easy reach of all that this stunning part of Cornwall has to offer. Your journey into a magical place begins; trundle up the steep unmade lane, curving past granite walls and old oaks to reach your destination.

Let's start with the lodge itself, charming and comfortable with all of your holiday needs catered for. Steps lead up into the open plan living-room, complete with a comfy sitting-area for snuggling up in front of the TV of an evening, a dining-area with seating for four and a well-equipped kitchen, including a gas cooker, fridge, freezer, kettle and toaster - all you could need to rustle up a scrumptious supper. A small hallway leads off the living area towards the back of the lodge to the shower-room and two bedrooms - one with small single beds, TV and DVD player, the other with a double bed and en suite cloakroom. In turn, double doors at the front lead out onto the deck - the ideal spot for your morning coffee whilst taking in the glorious outlook.

Outside, the remarkable surroundings are steeped in history - this former granite quarry was last used in 1906 (it is said that the site gained a reputation for having some of the best granite in the area and is even rumoured that it provided supplies for the second build of the London Bridge) - the current owner has lived on site for 30 years and has undertaken the most terrific task of turning the area into the special spot that it is today.

The lake is the star of the show - 20 foot deep with super fun pedalos for you to use (the life jackets must be donned for your time on the water please, children must be supervised at all times and swimming is strictly not permitted), a 'beach' complete with striped deckchairs and the opportunity to try your hand at fishing. You can dine al fresco at the table and seating overlooking the lake - cleverly created from an old mill stone - after cooking up a feast in the fabulous barbecue hut, a great place for toasting marshmallows too.

Mrs Bradbury-Crowther

Tresahor Lodge is one of the most special places we have ever stayed at. From the moment we walked through the wooden gate to reveal the exclusive and magical location, we were wowed and knew it would be hard to leave. The property matches all the photos and yet, the photos fail to capture just how incredible a place it is. We live on a main road so waking up to nothing but bird song was bliss! We found the area very secure so were able to let our mini dachshund run around without a worry, and it's safe to say he thoroughly loved his holiday! The cabin was so cozy and has everything you needed, and the BBQ Lodge felt like we were cooking in The Shire with Bilbo Baggins! I have to say you wouldn't find a better host than Phil - when the wifi wouldn't connect the first night, he didn't stop until it did. He checked in regularly and was very patient with our reactive pup and was happy for his dog not to meet ours. Some people are pushy with this, Phil isn't, so if you've a nervous doggo coming with you, Phil will respect what you need. He even located our takeaway delivery driver who got lost so we could enjoy an Indian! 10/10 we can't wait to come back!

Mr May

A wonderful paradise. With everything for a relaxing holiday. Fantastic facilities Immaculately clean Phil was a great host If your looking for the perfect magical escape you've found it

miss Crane

Absolutely brilliant place! My partner and i and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Definitely be back!

Mrs Maxwell

What an amazing experience, we love it here so much we will be back. Phil has done an amazing job with this place and the photo's just don't do it justice at all Staying here you need for nothing, it is so well equipped the only time we left was for essentials because every day was an amazing day we can't rate Tresahor lodge highly enough xx

Mr White

Tresahor Lodge is spectacular right from the moment you arrive when you step through the big wooden door buried in the rocks into a hidden paradise. The kids could not believe it was all there just for us. The lodge is clean, cosy and compact with everything you need. The view from the balcony and living room over the quarry is stunning. The pretty bbq hut was perfect for evening fires, food and music with starter wood and charcoal provided. The quarry lake is fantastic and the kids loved going out in the pedalos and fishing with the supplied rods, we caught plenty. Phil the owner was also really friendly and accommodating. I cannot recommend this place enough, easily one of the most special and unique holidays our family have ever had with happy memories to last a life time.

Miss Halliwell

Phil was very friendly , everything was so well thought of and we had a lovely stay ! Ideal for dogs as they could run free in a spacious environment

Mrs Cole

We had a great week at Tresahor Lodge! Perfect combination of outdoorsy and home comforts. The BBQ hut was a huge hit, perfect for cooking dinner and toasting marshmallows, and also enjoying a glass of wine. The lake and paddleboats were fun (and a workout) but also very relaxing. Mali the dog was definitely living her best life too! Will definitely be going back!

Ms Greenwood

We had a fantastic stay at Tresahor Lodge. It is a really special and private space. The kids loved the barbecue hut and the boating lake. Hospitality was excellent - lovely treats to welcome us, and Phil was really responsive to any queries or questions we had. It was great, just wish we could have stayed longer.

Mr Snee

We are a family of 4 (2x adults and children aged 14 & 12yrs). This was our second stay in beautiful Tresahor and it was every bit as magical as we had remembered. Despite the patchy weather, we managed to get out & about on coastal walks, boat trips, horse riding and more. There is so much to do within a short drive, you really don't have to travel very far to enjoy this gorgeous part of Cornwall. Most of all, we enjoyed the peace & quiet of the quarry, going on the pedalos and evenings in the large, well equipped bbq hut. A third stay beckons!

MRS JACKSON

What an amazing place! So much better than it looks in the photos. Everything you need is there and more. Kids loved the peddle boats and we all loved the BBQ hut. Phil was a great host - thank you! Would definitely recommend and hope to be back one day!

Mrs Paterson

A wonderful private hideaway, totally unique.

Mr Pickford

We were expecting something special from reading other reviews, but walking through the large wooden entrance door truly does seem to transport into another world - words can not do it justice. We made use of the incredible barbeque hut most nights and our boys aged 7 and 9 loved the pedaloes on the quarry lake. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and was well appointed. Sadly the weather was not great during our stay, a typically unpredictable British Summer, but the lodge proved a good base for exploring the local area. Falmouth is only 10 minutes away and we also went crabbing in Porthleven and managed to make the most of our one nice day at Kynance Cove. Thanks Phil for a very enjoyable stay.

Mr Simmons

The setting of the Lodge is absolutely stunning. The secure and sizeable garden is fantastic and great for our dog, he loved it it. The lodge itself is very well equipped and the welcoming gifts (milk, Prosecco etc) were a lovely surprise. Phil has produced a little oasis near Falmouth that you really can escape the world for a short time. You really have to use the BBQ hut as well, great for toasting marshmallows, which incidentally, were waiting for us in there. Don't hesitate to book here, it really is Lovely!

Mr Snee

WOW! From the moment we (2x adults, son aged 13 & daughter aged 11) opened the big wooden door and entered this secret quarry garden, we fell under Tresahor's spell. The owner, Phil, has created a beautiful, peaceful haven in this gorgeous part of Cornwall. It is even better and more magical than it looks in the photos. We woke up to sunshine and birdsong and enjoyed wonderful days out on the Roseland Peninsula, around Helford Passage and Falmouth environs. Our days were spent splashing on the beach, stretching our legs on coastal walks, boat trips, motor boat hire, feeding the seals at the local seal sanctuary, making pizzas at a nearby cookery school, tropical gardens, delicious pub lunches, pasties and cream teas. The highlight of our holiday, though, was returning to the lodge to spend our evenings in the fabulously equipped bbq hut and pedal the boats around the quarry lake. Phil kindly left some well-thought welcome gifts that were much appreciated (the children loved toasting the marshmallows). The best way to illustrate just how much we loved Tresahor Lodge is to point out that we booked again for 2024 before we had even left!!

Ms Walker

We adored our time at Tresahor lodge; such a gem and a haven tucked away in the beautiful North Helford countryside- yet within easy reach of the Lizard coast. The lodge itself enjoys the privacy of amazing outside space and was also incredibly well equipped. Phil was an amazing and most generous host. Thank you so much, we’d love to return…..

Mr Moore

Lovely tranquil setting, fully equipped beyond expectations and very comfortable.

Mr Mulvihill

This is without doubt one of the nicest holiday rentals we have ever stayed at, an absolute gorgeous location, close to local beaches and at the same time utterly peaceful and relaxing, a great deal of thought has been put into what this property provides, totally unique.

Ms Vye-Parminter

Excellent and beautiful lodge and grounds. Totally private and great for children and dogs. Phil has thought of everything and the welcoming gifts including milk was much appreciated Definitely recommend and will be returning

Mrs Broome

From the moment you walk through the big wooden door you are blown away by this place, its like stepping in to another world, certainly has the wow factor. Everything has been so well thought out and the facilities are excellent. BBQ hut is wonderful, a bottle of Prosecco awaited us and it is so very well equipped we had some lovely evenings spent in there. Kids loved the pedalos and the dog even enjoyed being on board (we took our own buoyancy aid for him). Phil is an amazing host, on hand if you need him and not forgetting Jenny too who loves to come and say hello. Would highly recommend Tresahor Lodge to anyone and everyone, I don't think I have ever stayed in such a wonderful idyllic place.

Ms Bunnage

A lovey peaceful place to stay, genuinely special.

Mr Walker

If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday, then Tresahor Lodge has everything you could wish for. It is a wonderful secluded oasis all to yourself, quite magical.!

Mrs Bessant

What a truly beautiful place to spend a relaxing break! Everything is presented to a very high standard, and all the little extra touches made it an incredibly enjoyable break. Thank you Phil

Dr Ariani

Tresahor Lodge is heaven on Earth! We loved it and it's safe to say it's top three best places we've ever stayed. Everything was great, from the size of the lodge itself to the outside area which is astonishing. We normally don't like to stay in a lodge for the whole day as we like exploring, but we actually stayed in for two whole days so we could thoroughly enjoy Tresahor. Our little dog also really enjoyed his holidays :) Phil was a fantastic host and we thanked him for being selfless and renting his heaven out for us.

Mrs Ferrari

Tresahor lodge is set in the most tranquil and beautiful old quarry that has been landscaped and transformed into a completely private and peaceful haven. The lodge itself is very comfy and has everything required to make it a home from home, plus there is the added bonus of the beautiful barbecue hut. We were lucky to have glorious weather during our stay and spent almost our entire holiday tucked away in the quarry beside the lake, which our dog enjoyed tremendously, we came away totally rested and refreshed. Thank you Phil, our host who was friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive.

Miss allinson

We had the best week, everything was perfect. Can't wait to come again.

Mr Taylor

A lovely peaceful location for a relaxing break. Excellent facilities, including a fantastic 'all weather' BBQ hut, and pool (with pedalos). The owner Phil was on hand to make sure we had everything we needed.

ms LaLonde

Just wow! Tresahore Lodge is the most incredible place. As soon as we walked through the big wooden door we couldn't quite believe the entire space was ours. We spent a lovely few days exploring the lake with the pedalos and cooking /hanging out in the magnificent bbq hut. We did manage to explore a bit of the beautiful surrounding area, but couldn't wait to get back to the lake and hut! A truly magical place, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Mrs Tompson

Had a wonderful Easter break with Classic Cottages at Tresahor Lodge. A hidden gem with private lake and a bbq hut, we will definitely be using the company again. Highly recommend.

Mrs Butler

Little slice of paradise. Would love to return in warmer months.

Mrs Grace

Wonderful experience @Tresahor Lodge. From the moment you walk into the Quarry your blown away by the incredible scenery, it’s stunning!! The amount of space and privacy is fantastic. It’s so quiet at night. The bbq hut is awesome and great to have a little family party. Your every need is catered for by the wonderful host Phil and Jenny the dog. So handy to have a washing machine / dryer with kids for beach towels. The pedalo boats are fun and there’s plenty for kids to explore while you chill on the deck to the lodge. Our children absolutely loved it, the place is magical. There are lots of places to visit within easy distance of the lodge. We did Flambards, Kernow Adventure park, St Michaels Mount, hired a boat on the Helford passage, dinner in the Ferry Boat Inn, Maenporth Beach, Par Sands Beach and the stunning Porthleven!! So much to do you will have an awesome time. Lovely meal at the Tregilly Wartha Inn only 10 mins away. The hardest part is picking what to do next and obviously leaving day. The roads are tricky but not super busy so just relax and slow down. Tip would be pick a big food shop on the way in. Truro Aldi /Tesco/ Salisbury’s so you arrive ready with bbq food and wine so your good to go. Thanks Phil for creating a wonderful place that will be with the kids memories of Cornwall.

Mrs Long

Wow what can we say other than a wonderful holiday in the most magical of locations. Fantastic caravan and even more amazing BBQ hut. The surrounding areas are stunning - Kynance Cove a must. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Mrs Williams

Tresahor Lodge exceeded our expectations. The owner, Phil, has thought of everything and is very friendly and welcoming. The lodge is very comfortable with everything you would need for self catering. The BBQ hut is an absolute bonus, a warm, cosy and fun way to spend the evening. The kids loved the lake and pedalos! Amazing place and great fun all round. Highly recommended

Mrs Faulknall

What a wonderful place this is. Everything about Tresahor Lodge is just perfect. My family and I did not want to leave, it’s such a special place, simply stunning. I actually cried when our holiday had come to an end. A massive thank you to Phil also. He made sure that we had everything we needed from the start of our holiday to the end. Nothing was too much trouble. A lovely guy! You couldn’t ask for any better. I would rate Tresahor Lodge higher if I could! Thank you - We will be back for sure.

Mr Perera

The pictures of the cottage did not do the lodge justice. We were blown away when we walked through the door and saw the lodge, the BBQ hut and the quarry lake with the pedalos. Tresahor lodge by far exceeded our expectations. We had a very wonderful stay and can find no faults at all. It was truely a wonderful secluded holiday, which is exactly what we were after. We will be coming back for sure

Mrs Holmes

What an amazing hidden gem! The owner has thought of everything you might need and more. This place is by far one of the best we have ever stayed in and we all had a wonderful time. Definitely worth checking out Slice for a lovely breakfast or lunch it’s only a couple of miles away and also the seal sanctuary (also a few miles away) was a great day out for the kids. There is also so much to do at the lodge that you can easily have a relaxing day at home too. Hoping to book again for next year!

Mr Loraine

What an amazing place. Everything catered for and the pictures don't do this place justice. So much so we have already booked again for next year!! By far the best place we have ever stayed and Phil, the host, is more than happy with anything too!! We loved the amount of space we had and the wow factor you get walking through the heavy oak gate into your own piece of paradise!!

Mr Boyles

We had a fantastic stay at Tresahor Lodge. It was immaculate and so much thought has gone into everything about it. What a gem of a place, tucked away out of view, you would never know it was there. The bbq hut is amazing and the whole place is so peaceful and secluded. Our dog loved it too!

Mr Herdman

We loved our stay at Tresahor Lodge, the photos do not do the place justice, it is incredible! 'Wow' was our collective reaction to opening the door into our own private quarry with lodge, lake and pedalo's. Beautiful and peaceful, no expense has been spared in setting the area up. The accommodation is modern and very comfortable and the star of the show is without doubt the BBQ hut! The huge secure grounds were perfect for our dog to safely explore. So easy to drive to Falmouth as well as the Lizard Peninsular for endless scenic coastal walks. Thank you!

miss Green

Tresahor lodge is the most amazing place me and my family have ever stayed in. The lodge itself and all its surroundings are well maintained and spotless. We couldn't find a single thing wrong with the entire of this holiday. What the owner has done with this quarry is out of this world. We would have stayed here forever if we could have. The only thing that would make this more than perfect would be to have the option to share this with friends or family, as it stands only 4 can sleep here. Maybe have a camping option so 2 families could enjoy this together. Thankyou so much Phil for allowing us to stay at your lodge it will take a lot for a holiday to beat this.

Mr Patrick

Amazing place to be! I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a private getaway!

Mr Allsobrook

Fantastic property - will definitely stay again. None of us wanted to leave even the dog.

Mrs Norie

We had an amazing stay at Tresahor Quarry, a beautiful place, lots of details thought of from the laundry room to pedalos - loved it and will be back ! Phil the owner was very helpful too Re local places to visit.

Mr Fechete

Amazing stay. The property exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. Great relaxing and secluded spot with a lovely chill vibe. The bbq hut was the most awesome thing. Thanks Phil, what a great host!

Mr Lake

Tresahor Lodge was a fantastic find. The location was great for exploring nearby sights - Penzance, Falmouth, the Lizard Penisular, Keyance Cove, Mousehole and so many more places. The accommodation was perfect, spotlessly clean. Although the smaller bedroom is really small - but it did say in the description. Everything you need are there. Wifi signal is strong and works well. The BBQ hut was out of this world. We all felt relaxed and recharged after the holiday. Phil has been a great host, very attentive but not intrusive. Thank you for a great stay.

Mrs Hassall

We had a wonderful stay in this tranquil place. Every detail had been thought through and it is a real hidden gem. Exactly as described and the BBQ hut was absolutely incredible.

Mrs Taylor

Wow! The most magical place and the quietest place. When it's only your voices and the fish jumping in the lake that you can hear you know you are somewhere very special. Tresahor Lodge truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment you walk through the door into the Quarry, every aspect has been carefully thought out. The BBQ hut is wonderful (equipped with all that you need) and the lake and pedalos great fun and the shear beauty of the Quarry is utterly unique. Highly recommended.

Mrs Varney

Photos on Classic don’t do this place justice…it’s absolutely amazing! The attention to detail is second to none and the lodge, laundry room and bbq hut are extremely well equipped. The place was spotless on arrival and really had the wow factor. The property owner Phil was such a nice man and made us feel he was always on hand without encroaching on our privacy. The lodge was a little smaller than we’d expected-the bedroom/bathrooms in particular. But the description does state the second bedroom is only suitable for children-and we put a lot of our things in the laundry room. No complaints whatsoever-we’ve shared pics and a video with friends and family and many are interested in booking! Classic have also been a dream to book with - so much better than experiences with other holiday companies we’ve dealt with in the past. Thanks to Classic and Phil at Tresahor for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Cornwall : )

Mr Roberts

Tresahor Lodge was amazing! Such a beautiful place to stay. A beautiful old quarry with private lake and beach and even pedalos. My children loved it, especially the BBQ hut, which was amazing. We couldn't have asked for more. The lodge is equipped with everything you could need, the BBQ hut is also fully equipped for full on BBQ party's. Phil the host is a lovely attentive host, nothing was too much trouble. What he has created in this old quarry is truly unique and special, thank you Phil.

Mr Warren

Very enjoyable stay, lots of extra nice touches including a lovely BBQ hut!! We will be back!
