A truly romantic getaway tucked in the corner of a luscious meadow with exclusive sea views; this fabulous shepherd's hut really is the ultimate destination.

Nestled in the beautiful countryside in a dreamy location, with only the wildlife as your neighbours and a quiet tidal beach only moments away, you will not want to leave Pippin's warm and welcoming arms.

As you approach your destination through verdant lanes in this Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty you will feel like a true traveller, which is the meaning of Pippin. As you leave your car in the charming old quarry and walk up through the wildflower meadow you will see Pippin awaiting your arrival and the view over the tranquil estuary open up in front of you.

This truly unique and private location really has all you need; bask in the morning sun with your morning coffee on the hand-carved love seat after your morning dip or take a perch on the steps perhaps. There is a fabulous fire-pit perfectly set up for two, where you can enjoy a true fire cooked meal or perhaps toast your marshmallows and gaze at the stars together. The meadow provides plenty of space and is a great spot to have a picnic in the gentle summer sunshine. This is the perfect place for your four-legged friends to run free too but please be aware at certain times of year there are cattle in the other half of the meadow - this will be fenced off but please take care.

Inside this charming hut there is ultimate comfort - sink into the cosy double bed with only the rustling trees to lull you to sleep, the bench seat provides the perfect spot to sit and look at the view on the cooler days but fear not as there is a little wood-burner to ensure you are kept toasty at any time of year. Luxury has not gone amiss with of course an en suite loo and shower at Pippin.

Ms Ellis

Such a gorgeous place to stay! I needed a little break with my dog that was tucked away, restful and nourishing, and Pippin was just perfect. I walked the coastline during the day with my dog and at dusk cosied up with the woodburner and the views back at Pippin. Aaaaah, am still exhaling at the memory! There is also a cafe selling amazing coffee in Mylor Bridge, and a shop for papers, etc. The owner is super helpful and local to the area if anything arises, but you are otherwise left to your own devices which I valued. As mentioned by a previous guest, the garden fence could be extended easily along the one unfenced part which would really enclose the garden then - it would be so nice to leave the shepherd's hut door open whilst cooking or simply relaxing and not wondering whether the dog has blissfully gone off to chase squirrels and then in turn found the country road. (Of course a long lead is a possibility, but sweeter if they don't need to be tied up on holiday!) I mentioned this to the owner and it does sound like this is in the pipeline. Really, such a treasure of a place to have found - Pippin is going in my little book of perfect getaways xx

Miss Stephens

We had a quiet & relaxing time staying at Pippin for 2 nights between Christmas and new year, a nice escape from day to day life & what a lovely view to wake up to. The space is very well thought out, little shelves for phones, books etc. it has everything you would need for a stay. Esp. Appreciated the milk and Cornish treats too! A short walk along the coast to a gem of a pub (The Pandora Inn) where our dogs were very welcome, we also enjoyed a great Indian from the ‘Red Chilli’, Mylor, delivered ??. The small walk from the car to the hut was a touch muddy, though to be expected at this time of year, a gravel/woodchip path maybe a great addition as we battled not to bring mud into the hut ??. Pippin is a real find to relax & explore this area, Falmouth, St Mawes etc. We send our thanks for having us.

Mrs Kinsman

Beautiful location with everything you need for a wonderful stay.

Mrs Butler

Pippin is the perfect place to unwind and relax - everything you could need in an idyllic location with an amazing Butcher and Fishmonger and well stocked shops in nearby Mylor Bridge - you couldn’t ask for more … PLUS ~ Penny is a very helpful and lovely host - wouldn’t hesitate to return ! Thank you x

Mrs Robinson

Absolute tranquility! We didn’t want to leave! Pippin is very nicely presented in a secluded location with superb views. The owner is very helpful. We will definitely return.

Miss Tonge

A perfect location, we spent our days walking down to the beach and the local pub(which does great food). A cute and comfy cabin, it was also really warm as the log burner really pumps out the heat! Will be booking again!

Ms Tulissio

Excellent retreat. Stunning views. Really helpful owner. Would definitely like to return.

Mrs Adams

A well equipped and thought out hut in a stunning location, 5 mins walk to the private beach and it's a lovely 10 min walk to the pub which serves good food. The local shops have all you need, a post office, fish shop, butchers and general store.

Mrs Percy

We loved this property. So peaceful and secluded yet only a 15 minute walk to a fantastic pub! Highly recommend.

Mrs Cox

Our stay at Pippin was everything we hoped for - a total retreat. The location is sublime, from the little walk up the track to the sweep of the surrounding meadow and barley fields. We loved gazing down at the spectacular view over the tranquil waters of Restronguet Passage. The Shepherds hut interior was carefully curated with everything needed for a simple but beautiful getaway. At night, all we could hear was the sigh of the wind in the trees around us. There aren’t many places which enable total relaxation but this is what a stay at Pippin offers. We loved it. Thank you. Sue and Chris Cox.

Mrs Wing

Pippin is a lovely, comfy, well equipped shepherd's hut. The location is peaceful and quiet with amazing views. Good pub within walking distance!

Dr Emmett

This was our second time staying at Pippin and we will definitely be back. We loved how beautiful the view was and how peaceful the location felt. The hut itself is furnished to a high standard and thoughtfully equipped to make the most of the space.

Mrs Welch

We had a fantastic stay in Pippin. The location is wonderful - it is easy to walk to a lovely pub and there are plenty of footpaths and quiet lanes nearly for going on longer walks with the dogs. Pippin is well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. We hope to return soon!

Mr Burrill

Lovely location and superb views. Nice walk to the local pub. A few minor adjustments would make it a good place to stay. Don't take too many bags as space is limited.

Mr King

Loved our stay at Pippin. Great location with lovely views. Nice walk to the Pandora Inn about 10mins. Dog owners beware that its not totally enclosed with a fence. Dogs could easily run through the quarry and into the road. Wouldnt take much to make this a safe place and would take the worry out of your dog running off. However, would definately return to Pippin again.

Miss Walls

Lovely shepherds hut in a lovely location. Views are beautiful, lots of good walks around and things to do. Has a large enclosed garden area for the dog to explore. We have a nice relaxing break

Ms Oliver-Pearce

I booked Pippin for a weekend, to celebrate my 60th birthday. Although it was October, the weather was like summer ! This made our stay all the more memorable. What a lovely secluded hideaway, with beautiful views. Easy and enjoyable walk to the Pandora Inn and an invigorating swim from Weir beach. Loved every minute ??

Ms Muir

Pippin is beautiful! So peaceful and isolated - we saw absolutely no one when we were in the hut or the surrounding meadow. The hut is so cleverly designed as to make it extremely comfortable and functional. The views down to the water are amazing - we went swimming at weir point every day! Only a ten minute walk to the beautiful Pandora Inn.

Miss Smith

We absolutely loved our stay at Pippin. Penny was a lovely host and provided perfect recommendations for things to do in the area and made sure we had an extremely peaceful stay. Pippin itself was so cosy, clean and perfectly laid out with everything you could need.

Ms Sowerbutts

Beautiful little Shepherds Hut, it has been thoughtfully designed to utilise the space with plenty of space and storage. We were concerned that the bed would be small, but it’s perfect! The W/C and shower was also surprisingly spacious. I cannot even begin to describe how stunning the views are, the photos do not do it justice! We were really taken aback by the beautiful views. We didn’t use the log burner as we went in July, but we made use of the fire pit in the evening which is was lovely. It’s so secluded which makes it extra special, I can’t recommend it enough! We took our 4 month old Cocker Spaniel and he absolutely loved the paddock and outdoor space.

Mrs Finn

We only stayed for a couple of nights, but we will definitely be back for longer. It’s gorgeous.

Mr Grimes

Lovely location, peaceful, easy to find with off road parking in a stunning areas, lovely sherpard hut..We will be back.

Miss Palmer

We had such an amazing week staying at Pippin. We had beautiful weather which made the setting even more stunning. If you are looking for somewhere to relax Pippin is your place. Lovely walks from the Shepards hut and good location to visit Falmouth and nearby beaches. Boat trip to St Mawes. Highly recommend.

Mrs Morris

Had a lovely stay at Pippin, the location was great and the view beautiful! We went to the Pandora Inn and it was lovely! Good food and within walking distance. The field to the left of the property has a fence around it, however I wouldn't necessarily say its dog proof. Not a problem for us as we kept ours on a long line, but some dogs could easily escape if the owners weren't watching. Would recommend.

Miss Franklin

This place is so dreamy. I swam morning and evening at weir point, listened to shanties at the local pub, went for some amazing long walks and bbq’d delicious seafood. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy Cornwall. The hut itself is comfy and well equipped and the location is spot on.

Miss Reynolds

Perfect little escape. Cosy hut with everything you need. The view is beautiful and the walk to the pub is great. It rained most of the time we were there but it was so cosy we didn't mind!

Mrs Carpenter

The shepherd's hut is in a very rustic and beautiful place, a haven for those wanting a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The hut is finished to a very high standard, it was clean and cosy, the bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the hut was amazing and we really enjoyed the short walk down to the beach and along the coastal path (especially the dog, he loved his new adventure!). We had a lovely stay in Pippin and look forward to staying again.

Mrs Reynolds

The hut is set in a gorgeous location, is tastefully decorated and well equipped, the owner has literally thought of everything and I loved the use of eco friendly products. The bed was super comfy even for my husband who is 6ft 1. We loved waking up to the gorgeous view and it was nice to get away from it all yet be within walking distance of lovely walks, a shingle beach and the Pandora Inn. There were cows in the adjoining field when we visited but they didn't bother us and we also didn't hear them. Would highly recommend this property and the owner Penny was very helpful.

Ms Sullivan

Pippin is situated in such a stunning location, with breath-taking views and only a 2 min stroll to the seashore. The restaurant Pandora is just a short walk away for tasty lunches or dinner on the pontoon. Had 2 blissful nights sleep at Pippin and would definitely recommend.

Dr Smith

Cutest remote little shepherds hut - looks so tiny on the outside but neat and tidy and clean inside with all you need, including a large comfy bed. Has an amazing view and lovely walks and gardens and boat trips within easy reach. Loved Falmouth shops and restaurants.

Mr Davis

Beautiful private location with a fabulous view. Very cosy

Mr Burling

Would love to write a review but from a selfish perspective we don’t want too many people to know how great this is!

Ms McNamara

Thank you so much! The location is perfect with a beautiful view of the harbour. It’s really peaceful and perfect for going for walks or a little swim. Would definitely come again and recommend to others
