Mr Hogan

A lovely house.

Miss Quinnell

We had an amazing week at Higher Carnon Farmhouse, very comfortable and welcoming, we had amazing weather and were able to get out on the patio and enjoy the beautiful garden, everything we needed was catered for. Thank you for a wonderful week in your beautiful farmhouse.

Mrs Mayland

A beautiful property in a stunning rural location which is so peaceful. Its the perfect get away. We even watched birds of prey in nearby trees as we sat in the stunning garden. A property I will return to again. Centrally located so nowhere is too far.... immaculately presented and very well equipped. Wish I could go back today !!!!

Mr Simmons

A very well equipped, warm and spacious house with good spaces and lovely garden. All kept very clean apart from the curtains (see below comments). We've been visiting this area for a few years now and it this house is good for exploring the mining heritage around Carn Brea, Great Flat Lode and the King Edwards Mine museum. Good to visiting Falmouth and Truro and Trellisk NT property. Recommend the Cornish Arms at Frogpool as a proper locals' pub with friendly staff and sensibly priced food. The Oak at Perranwell was ok for a drink The Seven Stars at Stithians highly recommended. ASDA at Penryn for cheapest fuel and a shop. The Spa at Carnon Down is useful as a local top-up shop.

Mrs Aldridge

A fantastic base in a beautiful setting. Great sized house, well equipped and a quiet, but handy location. Local pubs for food- Cornish Arms Frogpool, very welcoming and excellent food. Punchbowl and Ladle, Penelewey excellent Sunday lunch! Would definitely stay here again.

Mr Spies

We had a wonderful family holiday and felt very comfortable in the house from the very first moment. The house is very well equipped and furnished and the location was also perfect for us: very quiet and both the north coast and the south coast are within easy reach. We were lucky with the weather and could enjoy breakfast on the beautiful terrace, just wonderful. We would definitely recommend the house and hope to return.

Mrs Lake

We had a great week at Higher Carnon Farmhouse enjoying the house, garden and surrounding area of Cornwall. The garden was sublime ensuring both privacy and peacefulness. The house is well equipped and comfortable. I would have no hesitation at recommending this lovely farmhouse to others.

Mrs Connell

A lovely house very comfortable and if you are looking for a great base to walk or cycle this is the house for you, coast to coast walking and cycling on the doorstep.

Miss Morgan

We had a wonderful family holiday at Higher Carnon Farmhouse. Set in the countryside near Truro, this was the perfect spot for exploring Cornwall. We caught the train to Falmouth and St Ives as day trips, then returned ‘home’ for nice, rural evenings away from the crowds. The house was comfortable for our family of eight (including a baby) and we brought along our dog who enjoyed the spacious garden. The house is decorated with Cornish touches and is lovely and clean. Our favourite room was the kitchen – a great, sociable space for family meals, with a beautiful farmhouse sink and wooden worktops. It was easy to get in touch when we had a few questions, which were answered with speed. We’d happily recommend this house and come again in a heartbeat.

Mrs Usnarski

We are very satisfied with the stay at the beautiful cottage and garden. The house is clean and you can find everything what you need to make your stay comfortable. Big compliment for the very fast and lovely service (classic cottages as well as the house manager Nicole). We recommend the cottage.

Mrs Edwards

Our family of 6 plus 2 grandparents had a wonderful two weeks here. We loved the peaceful rural location but still close enough to Truro and Falmouth. The house is spacious and comfortable, and the big garden was a great place to play. We would happily return!

Braig-Scherer

Situated in the countryside, yet within easy reach of everything you need, the cottage was a perfect base for exploring Cornwall. The house is very tastefully and lovingly decorated and very spacious. We would have liked to use the big and beautifully landscaped garden more, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Higher Carnon Farmhouse was ideal for our holiday with two families of four. One week was definitely too short, we would love to come back! We can highly recommend Higher Carnon Farmhouse!

Mrs Morton

Had a wonderful time at Higher Carnon the property had everything needed for a family stay. The peaceful location made it a very relaxing holiday whilst being so close to so many lovely places to visit

Mrs Bell

We love the house and the garden, internally it is big and welcoming but some of the furniture and equipment if tired and the internet speed does not allow for TV streaming or even downloading on demand from Sky.

Mr Owen

It was great to be back in Cornwall again after having to cancel last year due to the pandemic. So quiet and peaceful here at Higher Carnon. The birdsong is amazing, so many different species. Walking along the cycle trail was lovely, albeit for the sudden influx of cycling families out for a ride as well. Everyone was just so happy to be out and about at last. Lovely sunny days at Trebah, Trelissick and Heligan Gardens. Trelissick and Trebah have their own little quiet beaches, quiet and peaceful.

Mr Fildes

The farmhouse is a real gem - very well equipped and provides privacy and quiet whilst being only a few minutes from Truro.

Mrs Kennedy

Lovely property, rural location but still close enough to Truro to be convenient to get a take away. Had excellent afternoon kayaking at Loe beach only 3 miles away. Kayaked to the Pandora Inn lovely pub, so nice we booked to go back for an evening meal food was excellent. I would have no hesitation in booking this property again.

Mrs McKenna

A beautiful and very comfortable family house with a gorgeous garden in a lovely peaceful area of Cornwall. Although situated in the countryside it is close to everything, shops, pubs, walks and beaches in both North and South Cornwall. It was the perfect place to enjoy a quiet family holiday away from the crowds. Would highly recommend and we hope to stay there again.

Mr Mundy

Pretty cottage, great secluded location to watch birds of prey swooping around the fields

Mrs Molan

As wonderful as always -your standards seem higher than other companies

Mr Hibberd

A wonderfully spacious property for five adults and 3 children. Lovely and quiet and convenient location to explore Cornwall.

Mr Fordham

Excellent location for the biking trails coast to coast which was why we picked it originally.

Mr Owen

This cottage is in a lovely tranquil spot. A wonderful cream tea on arrival helps one wind down instantly. There is so much space for everyone. It is such a lovely cottage that to return after a long day out exploring, walking and swimming is wonderful.

Mrs Pullin

We have just returned from a lovely week at Higher Carnon Farmhouse. It is in a very quiet and peaceful location but within easy access to Falmouth and Truro and good beaches. The farmhouse is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. A lovely cream tea and flowers on arrival too.

Mrs Florin-Burns

Perfect holiday location for large families, in the middle of nowhere but also so close to Truro and Falmouth. Makes a great base for exploring beautiful Cornwall, The garden is brilliant for the kids to run around in. Relax and enjoy :-)

Mr Cull

Very good location and accommodation was warm, well fitted out and comfortable.

Ms Fidler

Extremely unhappy about the plumbing situation we experienced during our stay. Daily disruption to our use of the property regarding various plumbing issues and no use of the main bathroom until the last day by which time the only remaining shower had begun leaking through the ceiling. I understand that these things happen and in principle am flexible about property maintenance however I was very disappointed about the degree of disruption as well as the sluggish and reluctant response regarding compensation. Not what I would have expected from Classic Cottages.

Mrs Player

Great position, well furnished and equipped.

Mrs Smith

Excellent family holiday property. Well maintained and had everything you could wish for in the kitchen and the utility room. There was also plenty of leaflets for activities in the area, also games for the children were found in one of the cupboards. We were fortunate the weather was fairly good so we could get out and about. Unfortunately because the weather was unsettled we missed out on BBQ's in the very large garden. This would have been the icing on the cake.

Mr Higenbottam

Nice location right next to Coast to Coast cycle trail. Superb kitchen and bathroom facilities with plenty of space inside and outside.

Mrs Bowditch

This is a beautiful, comfortable family home. The old farmhouse has been renovated to a very high standard. It was very light and airy and had a friendly feel to the place. We were lucky to have excellent weather for our short break and we made very good use of the garden. A good centre for lots of visits and trips.

Mr Merrick

Fantastic house set in a quiet, peaceful location. Very spacious inside and nicely decorated and furnished.

Mrs Neville

A perfect setting for a lovely family holiday

Mrs Micciche

Would recommend as we still had an enjoyable time .

Mrs Cook

Perfect location in a lovely setting definitely a favourite of ours and hope to return at some time.

Mr Head

Nicely situated,quiet & secluded

Mrs Addison

An ideal house and garden for a largish family party. Perfect for adults and children. Well equipped and very comfortable and liveable-in. Gorgeous bathrooms - amazing water pressure and hot water. A good half-way spot if you want to explore both north and south coasts, half-way between Truro and Falmouth. A lovely old house full of modern comforts.

Mrs Taylor

Comfortable and well equipped house for a family get together. Great value for money and good location. We had a lovely holiday and even had sunny weather!

Mrs Watkins

A wonderful place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet and a good night's sleep. The cycle track nearby is great for walks or cycle rides. And the house is not too far away from great pubs/restaurants, towns and beaches.

Mrs Heath

A beautiful welcoming house in a superb location. A perfect base for family holidays! Thank you!

Mrs Parkinson

It was a lovely property - really well equipped (there's usually something lacking or substandard, but not here!). Really warm and homely, the location was great (both families have children at nearby Uni). Can't praise highly enough!

Mr Eland

Perfect location, wonderfully homely property. Only downside is on a sunny day the garden is so peaceful and isolated you lose your motivation to go anywhere!

Mrs Wright

We were blown away with higher carnon farmhouse. Beautiful big garden and fantastic interior. Our week in Cornwall was perfect thanks to this beautiful house.

Mrs Oppenheimer

Fantastic comfortable farmhouse -large garden and very quiet location. Great location for exploring many beautiful areas/beaches around Cornwall. Loads to do locally for families as well- lots of great cycle rides/pubs and beaches close by. The farmhouse was nicely presented with wine and flowers when we arrived! Couple of draw backs- no tumble dryer which is a must with three kids! Also black out blinds needed and personally we found the double mattress far too soft which led to bad backs! Otherwise we enjoyed a fantastic holiday here and it was a great place to come home to after days out exploring, relaxing in the living room or outside on the patio with a glass of wine! Would definitely recommend .
