Goonreeve House
Goonreeve House is an old Cornish farmhouse found tucked away down a delightful country lane, perfect for families with its large rooms, high ceilings and wonderful garden. It offers rural tranquility combined with easy access to Falmouth, The Helford, Truro and other pretty parts of Cornwall.
Whilst Goonreeve House retains its original charm with inglenook fireplaces and stripped pine floorboards, it also has modern comforts such as WiFi. The attractive sitting-room is spacious and light, ideal for relaxing evenings. The kitchen is small but fully equipped, and the dining-room has a wood-burner and large dining-table, perfect for happy family meals.
Tall windows overlook the granite-pillared entrance of Goonreeve House and the large lawned garden. There is plenty of space for a game of hide-and-seek with your four-legged friend or perhaps a teddy bears picnic on a sunny summers afternoon. Gated off from the quiet lane, this is the perfect place for children and dogs to have fun.
The three lovely bedrooms and family bathroom are all on the first floor - the bedrooms all have relaxing views over the garden, where you will wake up to the charming birdsong of the countryside. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and even an original double-ended claw-foot bath to soak in.

Goonreeve House is one of those places one would not want to leave. We loved the house, its warm atmosphere and how well-appointed it was. There is nothing we would have changed. The location was not only peaceful but also very good for exploring as much of Cornwall as possible. In the evenings, it was lovely to relax by the fire after a long day out.
Mrs Munro
We liked the personal touches with the house and how it was furnished/decorated, it felt in keeping with the house. The sitting and dining rooms were spacious with plenty of comfortable seats. The setting was very quiet. And our dog loved the large, enclosed garden.
Mrs Crombie
Beautiful traditional Cornish property with gorgeous gardens. Perfect stay away from the crowds
Mrs Wright
We’ve just had another wonderful holiday at Goonreeve, we love it here as it’s so peaceful and homely. After a very long journey it was an absolute joy to stand in the garden and enjoy the silence, the sun was shining and there was only birdsong - a perfect welcome. Lucy is a lovely host and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. The house is in a perfect location, away from hustle and bustle, but easily accessible to the main road to Falmouth and Truro - and only a short journey to our favourite National Trust place, Trelissick. It’s perfect here for dog walking with its stunning cove and beautiful woodland walks and excellent cafe. We never want to leave Goonreeve House and neither do our dogs, we hope to be back next year!
Ms Northover
Very pleasant and comfortable week spent at Goonreeve House. Plenty of room for six adults and the cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch. Great location and felt very much welcome and at home.
Mrs Taylor
Lovely welcome and help by Lucy. We were given homemade scones which was a real treat. Bedding and beds very comfortable, hot water in the shower and bath on demand and great fireplaces. Lovely property inside and out!
Mrs Thomas
Had a great stay at Goonreeve. An older style property, nonetheless perfect for our visit and a wonderful secure garden for the dogs.
Mrs Friend
We had a lovely family week at Goonreeve Farmhouse. It worked well with two small children.
Mrs Wright
We really love staying at Goonreeve House, we’ve stayed a few times as we really love the peaceful location. We always feel so at home and we never want to leave - neither do our dogs! The enclosed woodland garden is a massive bonus as we can sit outside and relax and let our dogs have their freedom to play safely. Its location is perfect for all the places we like to visit, it’s just a stones throw from the main road to Falmouth and Truro (and only 15 minutes drive to the wonderful Trelissick National Trust estate ) but you wouldn’t know it when you’re in the garden, it feels like you’re away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Lucy is a lovely host and the scones, jam and cream are a really nice welcome after a long journey! We very much hope to return next year.
Mrs Kennard
If you are looking for a calm and happy holiday destination then this is it . Uncomplicated and unfussy home . Perfect for a family holiday and just a lovely get away to place .
Mrs Connor
Lucy was very welcoming and we were very thankful for the cream tea and milk in the fridge waiting for us. I asked for 2 extra towels and she was very accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable and I didn’t want to get out of mine each morning! Shower was hot and good pressure. Some people might not like the traditional furniture but we loved it and felt that it all fitted the period of the cottage beautifully….although the sofa was a little ‘sunk’ and perhaps could do with some TLC. There were plenty of games in the chest of drawers for rainy days. The kitchen was well equipped although we found the mugs a bit small and donated a larger one. It didn’t matter to us being only 2 of us, but there was insufficient numbers of forks and dessert spoons; I’m sure Lucy checks and would sort that out for new occupants. The garden is huge and must be stunning in the summer; wonderful that it is enclosed too and so our dogs could be out playing without any worry. The cottage is within easy access to Penryn with it’s shops and pubs which we found to be good. Also Mylor and the pub at Restronguet were easy to get to. Great place to stay to explore around the Roseland peninsula. We would definitely visit Goonreeve again. Just a perfect stay.
Mr Lane
Great location and good to get away from the hustle of London.
Mr Taillieu-Cantineaux
Our landlady was around when needed, very kind and helpful, quietly attentive but never importunate, which makes you feel entirely safe and entirely free at the same time. Quite a large garden is gorgeous with the sun turning and giving each part of it ( some huge trees ! ) its special charm. Car trip to Falmouth doesn't take too long. GREAT !
Mr Moore
Excellent position convenient for Falmouth and we was made very welcome thank you .
Mrs Wright
We love staying at Goonreeve House, this was our third stay. The house has such a lovely charm and the garden is beautiful and perfect for our dogs as it’s big and enclosed - so it’s safe for them to run free and we can relax. It’s such a peaceful location but ideal for getting out and about too as it’s not far from the main Falmouth/Truro road. Lucy is a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. We hope she’ll let us stay again!
Mr Ayres
For me and my family: the perfect holiday accommodation. The efforts made to create the 'home from home' feel and the level of comfort and facilities for adults and children are much appreciated and invite the return visit. This was my third stay and for as long as this holiday home is available, I would not bother to consider others.
Mr Davidson
I would highly recommend Goonreeve House as a perfect holiday destination, we hope to be back soon.
Mr Green
We have had a wonderful week at Goonreeve House, blessed with great weather which allowed us to enjoy and spend a lot of time in the large fully enclosed garden that was excellent for our cocker spaniel. Location is superb for exploring around Falmouth as well as further up the coast towards Fowey and Looe.
Mr Ayres
Goonreeve House has all the character, history and charm of a traditionally built Cornish farmhouse which make it such a warm and welcoming place in which to stay. Combined with all the facilities and comforts needed by guests, with or without children, this is truly a lovely holiday home. It sits in the perfect location for easy access to Truro and Falmouth and the main road links to everywhere, but also has the beautiful Carrick Road creeks on its doorstep. A very thoughtful and helpful owner adds to the reasons for staying in this wonderful house. Our second stay here will hopefully be followed by more.
Mr Hogsden
Cream tea on arrival very welcome. The owner was very helpful.
Mrs Wright
It was so nice to stay in such a clean property, high standards like our own home. We fell in love with the house, it was so homely and such a lovely place to return to after a day out or, as in our case, as the weather was so good, a lovely place to stay home and relax. The garden was fabulous, so peaceful and a real bonus to us to be completely enclosed so our two dogs could run free, play and snooze in the sunshine. Lucy made us feel very welcome. We found the location was ideal too - such a peaceful setting but only a stones throw from the main road to get into Falmouth, Penryn and Truro so easily. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.
Mrs Rycroft
We think this lovely house is located in a very nice area with the bluebells all along the roadways its stunningly beautiful on a lovely sunny day with lovely walks down to the harbour key where you can relax and watch the world go by. We also think that every day to have little visitors like the cats and the chickens made the holiday along with the lovely piece and quite if you want a holiday with complete relaxation then this is the cottage for you, shops and pub just a lovely walkaway just loved it.
Mr Ketteringham

Mr Ayres
A delightful traditional Cornish farmhouse which met every hope and anticipation for our holiday. Clean, well furnished and with all the facilities needed for a happy stay. The location was ideal given its proximity both to the main road links and the beautiful Restronguet Creek and surrounding countryside - such a lovely part of Cornwall. We would love to stay there again and recommend the cottage to others. Full marks to the owner for providing such a wonderful house and to Classic Cottages for providing such professional and friendly service.

We enjoyed everything about Goonreeve Cottage. It was very homely and traditional and had everything you could need. And was in a great location. The children and dog enjoyed the garden which was very private and safe. The Afternoon Tea and fresh eggs were a lovely gesture. We had a great holiday and hope to return.
Mr Cook
Very quiet and good dog walking nearby.
Dr Grant
We had a lovely week at Goonreeve House with our two spaniels. The garden was very secure for them to run around in. Great area for exploring local beaches and walks.
Mr Gibbs
I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Dr Lehmann
This is a lovely property; we liked the well-chosen colours in the rooms, and the big garden with a lawn to play football or even field hockey. There are no big streets around and besides the normal noise of people at work on their farms, it is really quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.
Mr Allitt
Happy holiday! Thanks
