A quaint and cosy Grade II Listed cottage, set in a tranquil beautiful location on a family-run farm.

This charming cottage has lots of little quirky features due to its age, from the sheltered courtyard where you park your car, to the stable-door into the small but perfect formed kitchen (please watch the step and mind your heads) which has everything you might need for a feast of local treats. The kitchen leads up to the cute sitting/dining-room that overlooks the sunny and sheltered front garden. In the winter, enjoy snuggling up together on the sofa watching a film using the Amazon Fire TV Stick, enjoying the warmth of the flickering flames of the wood-burner after a brisk countryside walk, or in the warmer months leave the front door open and enjoy the balmy breeze.

Upstairs you will find the lovely bedroom also looking over the front garden. Fall asleep with the windows open listening to the hooting owls and the dawn chorus, what could be more relaxing. There is also a handy sink in the bedroom and the shower-room is found downstairs, just off the kitchen, so perfect for washing those sandy toes at the end of the day.

The enclosed garden at Chybean is a lovely spot to sit back and relax with your four-legged friend catching the sun most of the day. The footpaths are abundant and right from your front door; set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and surrounded by the waters of Carrick Roads there is so much to explore. There is a pretty estuary shingle beach only 300 yards down the hill from the cottage, perfect for taking a paddleboard down and exploring these waters.

This lovely location is shared by the adjoining cottage Chyvounder (5117), which is ideal should you want to holiday with your extended family or group of friends. If you love the water this is the perfect place for you, the owners are able to offer by separate arrangement (on availability) a mooring which is only 300 yards from the property and boat storage, there is also handy launching very nearby and at Mylor Harbour too.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mr Spear

It really is nice. Very cosy cottage with lots of wonderful walks on the door step and great pubs and food near by. Mylar Bridge is sweet and old fashioned with good village shops and Falmouth not far for lots of things to see and do. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Mrs Griffiths

We had a great time here. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved that we could walk from the cottage to the shops, and a really good pub, albeit good exercise on the way back due to a very steep hill! Also in close vicinity to the Lizard and St Mawes etc. The garden was enclosed and great if you have a dog. We will definitely return.

Mrs Marshall

Very nice cottage in peaceful location. The bird song was wonderful.

Mr Reynolds

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chybean. Clean and cosy with a log burner, what more could you want. Easy walking into Mylor bridge, about 15-20 mins and some easy walks in the area. Great place to get away from things. Make sure you take some fire lighters and matches. Hope they remember to make a frying pan and corkscrew/bottle opener available!

Ms Emms

Lovely rustic cottage in a superb location for great dog walks & swims! The cosy woodburner was very welcoming for chilly, wet, autumn evenings. Very thoughtful of the owner to supply milk, tea/coffee & biscuits when we arrived. Generally we felt the decor & furnishings could be upgraded. But we did enjoy our stay.

Mr Given

In a loverly quiet area within walking distance of shops and pubs, some areas are a little steep and would not be suitable for wheelchairs, as some of the paths are over fields and uneven ground

Mrs Barter

Enjoyed a two week relaxing stay at Chybean in May on my own. Lovely walks from the cottage and lots to do in the area. The cottage is small and cosy with a pretty, private little wild garden.

Mr Gardener

Lovely traditional cottage in a great location, walk down the lane to launch kayaks and along the path to the Pandora Inn, Mylor Stores for supplies, listen to the owls and enjoy!

Mr Henry

Lovely, cosy cottage in a beautiful location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Please thank the owners for us.

Mrs Baxter

Good website easy to navigate and great communication from Classic cottages

Mrs Taylor

Don’t expect perfection, very clean, very small, fridge and microwave need updating, more than one bin bag would have been useful. We did have a nice break but will not be returning.

Mrs Mcwhirter

This cottage is in a peaceful location. We found the local shops in Mylor friendly and helpful. We visited Pandora's Inn and Mylor Yacht Club on a rainy day. Very handy for sailing and visiting Falmouth. A little further to travel to Helston, Porthleven, the Lizard and Penzance... all of which are our favourite haunts.
