This wonderful property is every bit as outstanding as the view itself. Spotlessly clean and extremely well furbished with friendly and thoughtful owners who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Tranquil setting in large grounds albeit well away from the main road. The location means that visiting most of Cornwall will take a lot of driving. On the flip side, the property is well located for a trip into Devon & Plymouth Town Centre. The hosts are very accommodating & all towels, linen & a wide range of kitchen utensils, as well as cleaning products are provided. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper & vinegar are also provided. We had a very enjoyable & relaxing stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Lake View. It was easy to find and spotlessly clean. The views are delightful and the property very well equipped and comfortable. Even though the weather was a bit mixed during our stay, relaxing at Lake View was an absolute pleasure. The hosts were very helpful yet unobtrusive during our time there. We particularly appreciated the welcome pack, complete with home made apple juice and would happily recommend this property.

A beautiful cottage with lovely scenery. Excellent hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Cottage very clean and was equipped with everything you would need and more. A lovely welcome basket for humans and for the dog, a really lovely touch. Directions given made finding cottage very easy. Would recommend this cottage to anyone. Will definitely be re-booking.

Best cottage I’ve ever stayed in !!

Lake View was a lovely cottage and Ruth and Chris were unobtrusive but made clear their availability if there were questions but there were none. The cottage was very well equipped, spotless and the bedding was very comfortable. The welcome touches such as chocolates, apple juice and hand sanitizer amongst other household items were much appreciated. I would have no hesitation in recommending to future guests.

We had a wonderful time at Lake View!! The cottage was absolutely spotless upon our arrival. The welcome was delightful. The view is beautiful and all in all I would highly recommend this cottage for a family vacation. We explored the local beaches and Plymouth, there are some beautiful, tucked away locations for swimming and sunbathing, away from the madding crowd and about a 30 minute drive (worth it!). The cottage is not easy to find - which is super however, do double check with the owners before arriving that you have the right directions. Once there, your cares just drift away. The owners are great, offering advice where needed - I actually left some items and they were returned by post to me which I thought was really kind. My kids loved the place too. If you are travelling towards the borders of Cornwall and you need some downtime then look no further. Enjoy. We did - THANK YOU for a glorious stay!

Thoroughly recommend staying at Lake View. It’s well located away from It all on one hand but not far from everything on the other. Extremely comfortable and well equipped we looked forward to returning to it at the end of each day of our holiday.

It's a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location with the owners available when needed, but otherwise you wouldn't know they were nearby. The cottage had everything we needed.

Lake View was an idyllic cottage to stay in. From the warm welcome we received on arrival to a feeling of being at home, it surpassed our expectations. Clean, comfortable, amazing location and views, even the dogs where catered for with a bed, towels and treats. Would definitely recommend a visit here!

Owners are wonderful and couldnt be more accommodating. House was extremely clean and the view from the house/balcony is beautiful. Gardens are also superb.

Beautiful view of the tamar estuary. Walks amazing Dog safe The peace and quiet superb. Seaford close enough to collect take awsys. Waitrose caters for all other needs. Easy access to other places of interest Would stay again and will do so.

Property Owners, Ruth & Christopher live on site: they were welcoming, very helpful and totally private but in these tricky Covid-times it was great to know they were there. The place was so clean on our arrival, it sparkled! Soft towels, sqeaky clean kitchen & bathrooms, peaceful garden in farmland setting. Big thank you to them for such efforts on our behalf. Absolutely fantastic property. Very clean, lovely furnishings and everything provided that you could ever possibly need (and much more). Very private location, off the beaten track for true relaxation in stunning surroundings. Easy access to civilization be that shops and amenties or Dartmoor. Very welcoming hosts who made our holiday very special. Highly recommend this property and the hosts, we had a very relaxing and highly comfortable Christmas week here in this excellently appointed and spacious home from home.

Lovely cottage with excellent hosts for a family holiday

If you're looking for a relaxing holiday and enjoy the peace and quiet of surrounding countryside and beautiful estuary views, then this is just the perfect cottage. The property has a lovely quirky design and is very comfortable with all those thoughtful extras that really make a holiday special, giving you the opportunity to get the very best out of those precious holiday days. From riverside walks to historic places of interest and beaches a little further afield there is little you could want for. We chose a good book on the south facing balcony or beaches on sunny days and the greater exertion of walking and cycling for the duller days. Dipping between Devon and Cornwall we really enjoyed a holiday to remember, our only complaint being that it was over too quickly!!

We had a wonderful stay. The barn conversion is even more stunning than the photos, extremely clean and exceptionally well appointed. The owners Ruth and Christopher had thought of more than everything! They were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
