Green Place
Wind your way through the historic streets of Wells to find Green Place nestling in a quiet mews offering a romantic getaway. With a vibrant and bustling high street, the city of Wells is a great place to base yourself whilst taking the opportunity to explore the Mendips and Somerset countryside beyond.
Step into this three-storey cosy cottage; on the ground floor you will find the well-appointed kitchen with perfect dining space for two and a delightful window seat - grab a book, curl up and enjoy!
The relaxed feeling continues as you take the stairs to the first floor, where the sitting-room awaits you (be mindful, these are narrow cottage stairs). Doors open onto the Juliet balcony, another lovely feature of this mews cottage and the sofas offer a comfy spot to spend some time at the end of a busy day. If you need to catch up on emails, there is a small table perfect for a laptop.
Another flight of stairs leads to the bedroom and en suite shower-room, with views across the rooftops it's a reminder that this quiet spot is, in fact, in this small classic city.
The cottage includes use of the neighbour's garden and enclosed patio; a small table and chairs are in the cottage for your use. If you are visiting with your dog, please be particularly mindful of the shared garden set-up. For those looking for adventure on two wheels, there is a secure spot to leave your bikes.

Mrs Hess
The cottage was clean, comfortable and well-situated to explore Wells. I would recommend - though it should be known that the accommodation is laid out over 3 floors, so quite a few stairs.
Mrs Stubbs
A lovely cosy cottage in a quiet position.well equipped with everything you could want.A short walk from the beautiful cathederal and interesting buildings, shops and pubs of Wells.
Mr Hookey
Pluses: central location, cosy cottage, very near great Morrisons superstore, quiet location, nice having good radios on each floor, good heating. Minuses: parking not great but better than we feared as long as one was prepared to move the car by 8am or park a couple of hundred metres down the road, difficult with no little bit of lawn for dogs - only nearby grass area was near the superstore and as our elderly dachshund does not walk well I had to carry him to it - perhaps 2-300m, - and then carry him upstairs to the living room. Lighting not too good for reading. However, overall this was a very nice cottage at a good price and we enjoyed our stay despite rather mixed weather. One day was a 'write-off' weather -wise and we were confined to the cottage; it is encouraging that we were not bored or uncomfortable and instead had a relaxing day indoors.

Lovely well equipped property but not dog friendly.
Mrs Mitchard
Cosy cottage full of character, which was in a perfect location for exploring Wells and the surrounding areas. Parking was difficult at times, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Mrs Price
The only bathroom has a child’s size freestanding sink. Mind your back!
Miss Box
A gorgeous little cottage tucked away but still within a few mins of the stunning city centre . The weather was so cold and wet but the cottage was warm and cosy and we appreciated the local goodies left in the fridge.
Mr Reece
Lovely cosy & quiet cottage even though you are in the city centre. Perfect for spending time in Wells & eating out. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay.
Mrs Posnett
Remove dog friendly because it said a garden but it was limited to use. If a dog needed to go out in the early hours I really wouldn’t fancy going 10 walk to the nearest park.
