Situated in a peaceful corner of Somerset, with uninterrupted countryside views across the Levels, Yew Tree Barn is a high quality barn conversion with a contemporary feel. Perfectly positioned to explore this area of the county, Yew Tree Barn offers a retreat for you and your four legged friends.

Yew Tree Barn is a reverse level barn conversion, so as you enter through the front door you are met with a spacious hallway that leads on to the two bedrooms and family bathroom. To one end of the barn lies the main bedroom which has a wonderful vaulted ceiling giving a real sense of space and luxury. There are three steps up to this bedroom from the hallway but there is a handrail in place. There is ample space for your holiday clothes and the calming tones will ensure you doze off to a deep slumber. Just off the main bedroom (down three steps with a handrail), you will find the modern wet-room.

Both bedrooms have a great level of privacy, as the second bedroom is situated at the other end of the barn. This bedroom boasts a wonderful view and you are sure to feel right in the countryside, as you watch the inquisitive cows across the lane or a horse trotting past. Completing the ground floor accommodation is the family bathroom, complete with two sinks and a bath with shower over for those long soaks after a walk.

Heading upstairs, there is an open plan kitchen, living and dining-room which is just perfect for socialising in together. The kitchen is excellently equipped and having the dining-table in close proximity means you can sit and chat with the chef of the family. There is a cosy wood-burner in the living space, making Yew Tree Barn ideal no matter the time of year. A Smart TV means you can log in and watch your favourite shows; a great way to relax after a day of adventures. There is a stable-door that leads out to an external stone staircase, should you want to enter/exit directly to the first floor space.

Your dogs are sure to think you have chosen Yew Tree Barn just for them, as it really is a dog heaven! A wonderful bonus with this property is your dog(s) stay for free too. You have access to a three acre orchard and wildflower meadow, where your dogs can explore to their heart's content. The orchard is shared with the friendly owners who live on site but there will be plenty of opportunity for you to have exclusive use during your stay. A thoughtfully placed bench means you can take a seat and soak up the countryside air whilst your dog(s) snuffle around. As well as this outside area, there is a pretty terrace at the front of the property with table and chairs, perfect for sharing al fresco meals.

Mrs Burke

On arrival i had a warm welcome from Mary and John. Lovely scones and treats with fresh flowers. It was a lovely and relaxing stay. It was well equipped and I slept so well there. Dog friendly and my dog loved the field behind the beautiful cottage. I will book there again.

Ms Nedin

We had a very warm welcome and were delighted with the comfort and facilities offered. Our dog loved the secure field, it's unusual to find one really safe and so large. We'd be very happy to return, especially as well placed for the bird reserves and facilities at Wedmore. Thanks to our generous hosts who have given a lot of attention to detail.

Mrs Stonham

Our Christmas stay at Yew Tree Barn was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. The hosts were exceptional ,making us feel very welcome and well looked after .They checked in ,to make sure all had gone well before we departed . The attention to detail and level of cleanliness was gratifying . The barn is ideally situated for visiting The Avalon Marshes, Brean Down ,Cheddar, Wells and Glastonbury. As well as further afield to Montacute House Stourhead . We found the nearby town of Wedmore delightful with independent shops and cafes. The barn offers quiet ,warmth and a great countryside view Ideal for our dog too as the nearby orchard and lane can be easily accessed. We hope to return.
