The Green House

We loved our stay at The Green House! It’s such a pretty cottage in a picture perfect village. We stayed over Christmas and the cottage was beautifully decorated which we didn’t expect - it was a really lovely extra touch which we really appreciated! We also loved being able to bring our dog with us - she enjoyed snoozing by the fire and local walks. We’d love to return in the summer to make the most of the garden - the proximity to the river is amazing!

2nd time we’ve stayed here and won’t be the last. The cottage has a lovely cosy feel, the beds are very comfortable and it’s perfectly located to explore Somerset.

This is a beautiful and well equipped cottage. It is centrally located for visiting the surrounding towns and villages. Although it has parking, it can be quite tight to come on and off the driveway.

We loved our stay in Nunney. It’s a lovely cottage, clean and comfortable, with plenty of things to do on the doorstep and in neighbouring areas. We’d love to come back.

Second visit for us to The Green House and our visit was even better than previous. Owners and caretakers look after the cottage and you have everything you need for a superb week stay. Nice touches like torches to use and nightlights. Cottage very cosy and warm & dry despite the weather. Will definitely return.

The Green House is a delightful place to stay, very comfortable and well equipped. It is attractively furnished and very clean. Very good welcome pack! Nunney is a very good location for visiting surrounding interesting towns and the village itself has an excellent pub, cafe and shop within a few minutes walk.

The welcome pack was much appreciated. The property was cosy & very well equipped. The owners had put a lot of thought into equipping the cottage with extra things that guests might need, such as umbrellas and torches, motion lights upstairs etc, which was really nice. As above. Also loved having the moated castle and village pub so close. Being able to sit in the garden by the little stream.

A great little cottage which was very well equipped and comfy. Bed was great and the shower lovely. Large kitchen table was nice for games in the evening and also accommodated a jigsaw board and jigsaw which we took with us. It was nice and warm and the log burner being a bonus. Glad we bought logs with us which we sourced at a reasonable price near to home as they were in places very expensive locally. The George in the village was a fabulous pub and very dog friendly. Blazing log burner and excellent food so we ate there twice. Lots to do in the area and we enjoyed shopping in Frome with its range of independent shops and cafes. Haynes and Fleet Air Arm Museum were very good but could be pricey for a family. Glastonbury Tor was a good walk as was King Alfred's Tower and the surrounding woods. A great location and we would recommend.

Enjoyed our stay in The Green House, lovely walks in the locality and plenty of interesting places to visit further afield.

Sadly the standards at The Green House were not as good as we are used to when we have stayed with Classic Cottages in the past. Some areas of the house are tatty and the owners appear more focused on equipping the house with personalised ornaments than paying attention to the upkeep of the property. We loved being in Nunney village which has a very good shop, a pub, a cafe and the castle. Parking was challenging as the cottage is on a narrow road and manoeuvering in and out was difficult.

A lovely cottage, beautifully presented and in a wonderful location. The George is well worth a visit too, food is delicious. Not forgetting the lovely coffee shop by the bridge too. Id highly recommend The Green House, we were a very happy group of four!

We loved our stay at the Greenhouse, in spite of the weather. Cosy cottage, with comfortable bed and good shower, in a really lovely village - with very good coffee shop, pub and shop. Welcome pack really appreciated.

The Green House was our little bit of heaven for a week. The cottage is perfectly equipped and cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the shower felt like a spa! The George Inn was delightful and the food was outstanding, and the convivence of being able to walk less than a minute away to the SPAR store was an added bonus. I would definitely talk a walk through the village to find the little park and walking path, and a walk to the castle. The Green House is any easy distance to so many things to do and see in the area, and having a bottle of wine and sitting next to stream in the garden every evening was the perfect end to each day. I can't recommend the Green House highly enough!

The Green House is in a great location. Well serviced village with cafe, great pub and well stocked village store. Great Easter break with duck racing on the brook, egg hunts and bonnet competitions. The property is well equipped and cosy.

Gorgeous cottage, by a fast-flowing stream, in an idyllic village. Sitting in the garden of the George with a view of the castle, on a sunny afternoon is lovely. Fantastic location for visiting attractions, we went to Cheddar Gorge, Stourhead, Glastonbury, Wells and Mells.

We had a great short break at the Green house. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and care into this lovely character cottage. It's well positioned in the interesting and pretty village of Nunney and just a short walk to the excellent George Inn, the castle and well stocked village shop.

Lovely cottage. Great location, really comfortable with quality bed linen and a very good large walk in shower. Loved the big eat in kitchen. All round one of the best places we have stayed in. Will definitely be back

Highly recommend you visit this lovely welcoming cottage, in a pretty location. The pub in the village was a bonus. Well equipped & homely. Lovely outside area when the weather's good !

The cottage is in the lovely village of Nunney. There's a good pub around 200 yards away. Nunney castle, which is not far from the pub is a ruin but worth a visit. Entry is free. Look out for goldfish in the moat. The parking for the cottage is not easy to manoeuvre into with a the a large car but not impossible.

The Green House is a lovely cottage, tucked away in a pretty little village and was perfect for a much needed relaxing break. The stream at the the rear of the property added to the feeling of peace and tranquillity. It was beautifully decorated inside and the king size bed was very comfortable. The village of Nunney was the perfect base for our days out as there were so many places to visit, all within a short drive away. We visited Frome, Cheddar Gorge and Longleat, which we thoroughly enjoyed, but by far Stourhead National Trust was the best of the week. The grounds were stunning, well worth spending a day visiting.

We had a good holiday at the Green House. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and cosy.

The Green house' is certainly one of the best holiday homes we've stayed in to date. It is finished to a very high standard and much thought and consideration has been put into the decor and equipment of this beautiful historic cottage. The crowning glory is that is it nestled in the amazing little village of Nunney.

We had a great stay at the Green House. Perfect base for our trip to Longleat. Nunney is a really pretty village with all that you need (pub, shop, cafe…castle!). The cottage was lovely and full of character. It is very well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. We would be very happy to stay again.

Very good location for visiting several attractions in the area. Nice and quiet and good local pub and a spar shop for the bits you may forget to bring or need!! Lovely facilities and a nice little patio for sitting out when the weather is nice.

The best cottage we've stayed in! Very clean and comfortable. Nunney is a beautiful village, the castle is fascinating and we loved The George Pub. A wonderful Christmas break was enjoyed at The Green House.

The cottage was so lovely and well appointed, it was a wonderful stay! Everything was very thoughtfully done, the cottage was cozy and warm and perfectly situated, with the babbling brook to the back and the castle just down the road. An idyllic location for a cozy country getaway, but with all the modcons you could ask for.

Beautiful , well equipped cottage. liked the extra little touches like the jam and chutney etc left as a welcome . Very clean and tastefully furnished .It's how a holiday let should be . The garden area by the river ,watching the local kingfisher make his early morning appearance . A gated parking area is always an added bonus too . Would love to return ,Nunney is a delight , picture postcard beautiful .

Had a wonderful stay. The cottage is beautiful, welcoming, cosy and has everything you could want or need. The beds are extremely comfortable. A lovely quaint village with a local shop, coffee house and a lovely pub with good standard of food. We took our dog with us and she also loved it. Would definitely recommend and I will certainly visit again.

Loved this cottage was a real home from home. Having stayed in a few cottages none of the beds have been so comfy as this one. Local attractions are near with a fantastic pub 2 minutes away would d recommend a stay here

This is a lovely cottage in a lovely location, lots of great walks on the doorstep , a local shop & a good pub all in walking distance. Not much more anyone could ask for!

Nunney is a beautiful village with a fabulous pub and a delightful cafe and an extremely impressive castle in the middle of the village. The Green House is pretty and well positioned with a lovely outside area but naturally quite chilly inside and dark and probably best suited for summer stays even though the owners have gone to a lot of trouble over various heating systems. We didn’t find the stairs with no handrail a problem at all. Room for 4 adults but quite a noisy cottage inside and outside due to its age of course, ancient (listed?) single glazing and early rising neighbours!

This was such a great cottage, one of the very best we have ever been to. Even though things were not fully open this didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of Nunney village or trips into Frome.

Lovely quirky cottage with log stove fire, good sized rooms, modern shower room and pretty back garden with view of the brook. Ideally located in picturesque village, with a good local pub, shop and castle. Plenty to do nearby with local walks and day trips to Cheddar, Bath, Longleat. Shepton Mallet prison escape room and the old cinema in Frome were good local activities. Would recommend for a relaxing stay!

What an amazing property - well designed and well laid out. High end decor and furnishings. Had everything you needed. Amazing location in Nunney by the river and a great area to explore. Spent lots of time on the patios areas. Really thoughtful welcome pack and really useful information left by the owners. the local quarry is definitely worth a visit as is Wells and Bradford upon Avon. We enjoyed some lovely walks while we were there. Would definitely like to return.

The cottage was beautifully presented and so well situated for exploring. The village is charming with a great pub. Sitting outside by the river was delightful. The owner was great at communicating via text. And the little extras like milk, cake and chocolate were so thoughtful. The key safe system for checking in and out meant there was none of the usual pressure to arrive at a specific time. Location. Decoration. Comfort. Communication. Ease of booking plus checking in and out. Parking. Extra touches. Netflix on TV. Local pub. Nearby attractions (especially Stourhead, Wells Bishops Palace Gardens and Ebbor Gorge). Made to feel welcome but also left to our own devices, so like a home away from home. We had a wonderful stay and it was all so easy and relaxed. We'd definitely recommend Classic Cottages, Nunney and The Green House. Thanks to you all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Green House with it's lovely village location, walks from the door and access to great local towns ( Frome, Wells, Bruton and Bath are all well worth a visit.) The cottage itself is quirky and comfortable. Another lovely " Classic " holiday!

We stayed here for a week the cottage is situated in a small quiet village next to the stream, outside seating area perfect for sitting in the sun. The cottage was as described, kitchen well equipped we had everything we needed and we managed to find the property and access it with ease. The only downside for us was the cottage itself lacked that something a bit extra it seemed like it needed some TLC.

The cottage is beautiful, as is the location. My children wanted to move in. We loved the surrounding area which had so many amazing places to explore. Great places to take away food from and eat outside at during times like these. Highly recommended.

The cottage was in a wonderful location and very nicely presented. The bed was super comfortable and we slept very well. The owner sent a text to welcome us and replied very promptly to our queries.
