Lane Cottage

Lane cottage is a perfect place to stay for 2 people wishing to explore Exmoor.

We loved it and will definitely go again in the future.

Enjoyed our stay, clean and comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Bridge Inn and The Lion Hotel good for food. Plenty to do within 30mins drive. Lane to cottage very tight but managed ok with a medium size car.

We had a lovely stay in Lane Cottage. The views and walks around the area were outstanding. The owners really tried to make our stay comfortable. It was a small cottage but we had everything we needed. Very central to town.

Highly recommended. Easy walk into Dulverton. Private rear garden with a small table and 2 chairs which were ideal due to the glorious sunshine!! The cottage had everything we needed. Some folks have complained about the narrow entrance. We arrived in a wider car than last time so after unloading outside Lane Cottage, we parked just up the road free of charge. Maps and local info in cottage which were really useful including the walking routes.

Make clear the restricted access in the listing, rather than just putting it in the arrival document - this is too late to enable guests to make informed decisions.

Local car park £5 per day. Better to park here. Otherwise tricky parking and turning space when neighbours cars parked close.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Lane Cottage. It is a true cottage in all senses and met our expectations. We would consider returning in the future.

Very cosy for one or two people, extremely quiet location despite being in the heart of the town. Extremely comfortable home from home.

Quaint cottage with everything needed for a weeks stay in lovely location with plenty of choices for walking and eating

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful old cottage. Great location in the centre of Dulverton but so quiet and relaxing. Everything you need in this small but perfectly formed home-from-home. Cosy evenings were spent in front of the log burner after fabulous Exmoor walks.

Garden lovely, peaceful. Should mention the narrow access. A small car would not be an issue.

Lane Cottage was a charming little cottage with real character and excellent facilities. Can thoroughly recommend it for a cosy, relaxing holiday.

Dulverton is a good base ,a fine little town,good pubs and food and friendly people.

If you have mobility problems stairs could be tricky especially with toilet upstairs. If you are over 6 foot be prepared to bang your head. Lounge only about 6 foot high. Parking next to house tight but car park next door and parking in street. Dulverton a lovely town with good butcher and large coop. Nice shops to browse in. The lion pub and restaurant, the bridge inn and Woods restaurant all excellent and easy to walk to. Most dog friendly town we have ever been in. Roads quiet and peaceful in May and a delight to drive on. Lovely walks along rivers and on moors. Places to visit such as Dunster and Porlock and cream teas everywhere.

An excellent base for keen/fit walkers.

Excellent location in lovely village. Dulverton has all the necessary facilities - without being over busy or touristy. It is within easy reach of all parts of Exmoor and the north Somerset coast. The cottage is very attractive and characterful and is quiet, peaceful and surrounded by greenery. .

Although it is mentioned the lane really is quite difficult to negotiate with a medium sized car

Charming olde worlde cottage in great location. Very comfortable and everything you need is provided. Minutes walk to the town with excellent facilities. Friendly people, good service in shops and restaurants and very dog friendly. Would happily visit again

From booking to leaving we had contact with someone who knew the area and was helpful. The cottage had everything you could need in a peaceful location. Ideally placed for the village and with walks from the door step, you'd be hard pressed to fault Lane Cottage. We're planning our next trip!

Brilliant location, lovely town and a lovely cosy cottage.

Lane Cottage is a beautiful cosy cottage in a wonderful location. The owners were lovely, ensuring that we were happy throughout our stay, but without being intrusive. We felt that any problems or issues would have been sorted immediately (although I must say that there weren't any). The location is second to none and would most certainly recommend to all, as a friendly, dog welcoming place. We fell in love with Dulverton and will be returning. Very enjoyable stay. Many homely, welcoming touches [real internal flowers, maps, guides, etc]. Very local easy walk to 4 excellent restaurants and pubs. Highly recommended.

It was the perfect, idyllic little cottage. I will definitely stay there again and the owners could have been more accommodating. The perfect peaceful time after a hectic festive period.

Owners were very kind and attentive. There were some very kind and thoughtful little extras awaiting my arrival. Logs, tea and biscuits and a bottle of wine! Hoping to return in the summer.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location. Very cosy and comfortable. Difficult to get a larger car down Rosemary Lane, very tight on my Honda CR-V (width of car 1,820mm).

Gorgeous cottage, very cozy. Perfect location for some excellent walks around the area, didn't use the car once. Restaurants and pubs were excellent and all nearby. Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

The cottage was beautifully presented with every possible need catered for (hairdryer, iron, etc,) Fresh milk in the fridge, tea tray with local biscuits set out and even fresh flowers on arrival. Felt immediately at home.

The enjoyment of our holiday was improved greatly by the thoughtful and welcoming Lane Cottage.

everything was delightful but be sure to use a small car as the lane is rather narrow!

your company and the cottage is just perfect. The pictures of the cottage do not really give you the feel for the place. All I can it was just perfect. The kitchen is a fully functioning kitchen, so we made some great dinners. The little TV is great, and the bed is just so comfortable. Just what you need when you come back from a nice long walk. The little porch around the back is also nice as you always need somewhere to take your muddy boots off. Would stay again and would recommend family and friends.
