Reviews

On the edge of Exmoor's stunning National Park - a designated International Dark Sky Reserve - Dieppy Farm Cottage is in the perfect spot for stargazing; on a cloudless night you will be amazed at the number of stars above. An enchanting bolthole in the peaceful village of Skilgate.

This most welcoming single-storey cottage has a huge garden with valley views and a stream tumbling along the boundary - the owners' pond is the other side, with delightful resident ducks.

French windows open onto the south-facing decking above the stream and in the evening from the deck, you can enjoy the setting sun to the west or from the rather romantic swing seat in the garden.

Inside, the open plan layout gives this attached cottage a spacious and homely feel at the same time. A garden path and short flight of steps lead from the parking-area to the cottage. The owners live next door but the cottage faces the opposite direction, so you will feel completely private with your own access and parking.

This is a wonderful place to bring your four-legged friends. They are very welcome and as well as the large garden, there are many walks nearby and of course you can venture up onto the wild open spaces of Exmoor too. Why not also bring a bike, (safe storage can be provided by the owner) - road and off road routes are aplenty.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Shepherd

Don’t hesitate to book this little hidden gem on the edge of Exmoor. Close to Haddon hill so you can walk across the moors and spot the ponies and a beautiful view of Wimbleball lake. The cottage and garden was gorgeous and a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the nature all around you. The coast wasn’t far away and the drive across the moors to get there was stunning. You are also close to the adorable Exmoor towns, everyone so friendly and we loved the independent shops there ready to explore. We had a lovely cream tea waiting for us on arrival and treats for our dog to make us all feel welcome. There is nothing Annie and Bruno haven’t thought of to make your stay special, such welcoming and friendly hosts, they are perfect, shame to leave but would love to return one day. Thank you so much!

Ms Martin

I arrived needing rest and received a lovely warm welcome from Annie and Bruno. Peaceful location, spotlessly clean and well equipped with WIFI connection, tucked away in small village in the hills.

Miss Mills

The property exceeded expectations, in particular the host Annie was very thoughtful adding in extra touches. We enjoyed the beautiful scones with jam and cream and bottle of prosecco left for us on arrival. The surrounding gardens were delightful, full of wildlife and very much like a scene from a painting of an idyllic country meadow. Bampton, Dulverton, Wiveliscombe, Dunster Castle & village all within easy driving distance. Quantocks and Exmoor walks equally accessible & riveting but we were glad to return each evening after the miles to such a homely welcoming cottage. We only hope we have the chance to return one day.

Mrs Bicknell

We stayed 5 nights at this lovely cottage in April. We were meet by the owner on arrival and welcomed and were left homemade scones, jam and cream and milk.Which were lovely. We liked the location of the cottage, very peaceful, down avery quiet country lane but not hard too find.Lovely to look out over the pond and fields opposite and see lots of wildlife and baby lambs in April. It is a great area to visit with Dulverton nearby for a pub, cafe, fish & chip shop and small supermarket. The cottage was warm and cosy and has everything you need have a relaxing break and our dog loved the big garden and walks nearby at Haddon hill with lovely views.Would love to visit here again. Thankyou.

Mrs Godfrey

Well equipped, cosy cottage in charming location. Perfect for exploring Exmoor and surrounding countryside.

Mrs Brand

Enjoyed our stay at Dieppy Cottage. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place to be. The cottage is so cosy, great bed and super shower. The cream tea on arrival was an unexpected treat after a long journey. Lots of bird life and a large garden to relax in. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Mrs Morris

We really enjoyed our stay. This is a lovely little comfortable cottage in a super spot with great, helpful and cheerful hosts. The location is splendid with direct access to scenic Exmoor and wilderness very close by. The beach at Dunster and walks above Dunster village were highlights as were the walks around Dulverton. Local pubs provided excellent food and the wildlife was right in our doorstep with barn owls, red kites, garden birds moorhens etc right on t he doorstep. The cottage is well equipped and parking and access were straightforward and we felt safe and secure. Just wish we’d had longer. The log burner made everything cosy on these cold winter days and the views from the cottage were quaint and tranquil. We wont hesitate to return, it’s a great holiday even in the depths of winter.

Mrs Clayton

Like staying in a fairy tale cottage, so peaceful and comfortable. Lovely cream team and coffee machine to enhance our arrival with other welcome treats. Bruno and Annie were so attentive and friendly. We would love to come again! Thank you.

Mr Mitton

Our third holiday at this adorable little cottage. Annie and Bruno were perfect hosts as always, nothing too much trouble. We didn't wander far this time because of the amazing weather spent relaxing in the lovely area surrounding Dieppy Farm Cottage with the odd visit to Dulverton for lunch. However, the cottage is within easy reach of many interesting and diverse attractions not to mention spectacular scenery. We will be back next year for sure.

Mr Thornton

The cottage is lovely, more than big enough for two of us and two dogs. The cottage is traditional but the bathroom is very modern with a great shower, bed is very comfortable. The owners are delightful and cannot do enough to make sure your stay is comfortable and will help you out with any issues you may have (we didn't). There are lovely scones with clotted cream and jam and wine waiting for you on arrival. I would go back in a heartbeat loved it. as did our two canine companions.

Mr GOODMAN

Well worth the visit.

Mrs checkley

Thoroughly recommend this little slice of paradise. Everything about our holiday was perfect, from being welcomed with home made scones to being invited for a drink on our last night. The setting is idillic, if you are looking for a mindful moment then look no further, there is lots to do in the surrounding area and our hosts were full of ideas about places to eat in the area. Will definitely come again.

Mr Mycock

It’s a great website! Not sure what else to say.

Mrs Lambert

Our hosts Annie and Bruno were lovely and very very helpful ,nothing was too much trouble. The garden and the pond were amazing as was all the wildlife we saw. A little piece of heaven for a relaxing holiday.

Mrs Roberts

Just returned from a 4 night stay, we had a fabulous time, Dieppy Cottage is a real gem situated in beautiful gardens and countryside, lovely to see such a variety of Birds and wildlife beyond. Lovely warm welcome on arrival from hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning.

Mrs Wheatcroft

We had a lovely spring time visit, when the surroundings of this property were at their best. There is no need to leave to enjoy peace and tranquillity in beautiful countryside in this comfortable and welcoming cottage.

Mrs King

A perfect setting in which to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and wildlife. A good location to drive to the small town to visit a cafe for a quiet lunch.

Mrs Darby

Fabulous cottage. Picturesque location. Everything we required in the cottage and more. Annie and Bruno were very welcoming, and accommodating as we had to continue after our break to a funeral. Lovely countryside to walk in ,but it was very wet whilst we were there. However nature was on the doorstep with lovely birds feeding on the patio. There are plenty of places to visit by car. We loved Bampton and Watchet. Great places to eat in Bampton. We hope to return soon to enjoy a glass of wine in the garden hopefully with Annie and Bruno. and walk a little more in the surrounding countryside! Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely little cottage. Lynne and Michael.

Mrs Thomas

We booked up very close to going and it turned out to be exactly what we needed. Very welcoming ambience, warm clean and well equiped. Bed comfy and the shower powerful. Kitchen very well equiped and a note saying if there was anything we needed to knock on the owners door. We arrived in the dark so it was lovely to wake up and see how peaceful and beautiful the aspect was, looking over a mill pool and hearing a running stream. We did a stunning 14 mile walk from Dulverton (20 minutes away by car). Ate in a local pub there on evening, which was excellent and another stunning shorter walk from Exford (30 minutes by car). Would highly recommend a stay there.

Mrs Daly

A lovely cottage in a very peaceful location, it has everything you could need. Looking forward to visiting again to see the different seasons .

Mrs Heath

Dieppy Cottage is definitely somewhere to go to relax and unwind. The hosts, Annie & Bruno were there to welcome us and show us around. If you love Exmoor and need somewhere tucked out of the way, this is definitely the place to go.

Mrs Vessey

We had a very comfortable week, warm and very quiet. Friendly and helpful owners.

Mr Claridge

Lovely helpful owners. Home made scones for cream tea left. Peace and quiet with a variety of birds and shoals of fish in the duck pond. Extensively equipped.

Mrs Jewell

Lovely, comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings - what more could you want? We enjoyed a very relaxing long weekend and even the weather was wonderful!

Mrs Potter

Excellent property in a lovely peaceful location. Comfortable, warm and cosy with everything you need for a lovely stay. Surroundings of the cottage are beautiful with many different birds and we were lucky to have the baby lambs to entertain us. You need a car to get around as it's quite remote but that's how we like it, the lanes are narrow so take care around bends. The owners are very nice and not intrusive and have plenty of knowledge of the area for local walks etc. We recommend this property very highly.

Mrs Hodgkins

Thank you for such an enjoyable & comfortable stay in your lovely little cottage.

Miss Jones

Dieppy Cottage is perfect, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Annie and Bruno are the perfect hosts. 10/10 stay, would highly recommend and would love to return in the future.

Mr Stabb

Beautiful, cosy cottage, set in a tranquil garden. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, watching the ducks in & around the pond. The fire pit in the garden was fun in the evening with a glass of wine, & the log burner indoors was cosy. Comfortable furniture & bed. Powerful shower. Owners Annie & Bruno were so friendly & helpful. We found it hard to leave. Wonderful stay

Mrs Hill

The cottage is in a delightful and quiet spot. It is very well equipped with everything you could need plus more. The pond and wildlife were excellent time wasters - I didn’t even open my book. We were made extremely welcome on our arrival and enjoyed the lovely cream tea. Of course our little dog enjoyed exploring and also meeting Jack. Thank you to Annie and Bruno for helping to make our break away to Exmoor so good.

Mrs King-Welland

A beautiful cottage in a wonderful setting. Ideal for a couple looking to relax and leave the world behind. Our hosts were there if needed yet not intrusive. The welcome pack was lovely and the cottage comfortable and well equipped.

Mr Crouzieres

My Husband booked this as a surprise for our 14th Wedding Anniversary & all I can say is.. WOW! What an awesome surprise!. Dieppy Cottage is idyllic, comfortable & extremely well equipped. Set in truly beautiful & very relaxing surroundings complete with duck pond, ducks, fish & the dragonflies dancing around the waters edge, a working waterwheel, (many thanks to Bruno for making it work for us & for his explanation as to how it all works). There is also cattle grazing just across the way, while birds swoop around to feed on feeders, then back up in the trees. It is a place previously I could only have imagined to be in. It really is somewhere you have to stay! At night the stars are to be seen a plenty in the clear dark sky. The hosts Annie & Bruno & their lovable dog Jack, make you feel truly welcomed. Venturing out to visit local areas such as Dunster Castle & Gardens, Lyndon & Lynmouth water powered cliff side railway, Tarr Steps was wonderful too! Our hosts had thought of everything, even recommendations of places to travel to & suggestions of where to eat. Thanks again to Annie, it was so interesting to hear about how Dieppy Cottage came to be. Clearly both have worked & continue to work so hard to make Dieppy Cottage a place where people can truly relax, unwind & appreciate the surrounding nature in a truly magnificent setting.

Mrs Barclay

Don't think there is a negative thing to say about Dieppe Cottage, everything we needed was there, owners were really helpful for places to visit with our dogs. Very dog friendly area.

Mr Edwards

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, if you’re looking to unwind and relax in a beautiful part of the country this cottage is ideal. Annie and Bruno are excellent hosts, from our cream tea welcome to answering any questions.

Mr Grace

Difficult to leave the cottage, so much wildlife on view from the open French doors, Pheasants, rabbits, Ducks, Moorhens, Nuthatch, Robin, Long Tailed tits, Blue tits, Great tits, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Mistle Thrush, Wren and many more. Secluded and peaceful. Annie and Bruno are great hosts.

Mr Whiteway

Looking for a relaxing holiday this is a must we had a lovely break and its so cosy our dog loved it too

Miss Doughty

This is a wonderful cottage, the location is idyllic and the hosts have thought of everything to make an indulgent escape.

Mrs Marks

We had a wonderful Christmas stay at Dieppy. The owners Annie and Bruno are delightful, and we greatly appreciated all the kind Christmas additions left for us. We were very warm, cosy and comfortable. The owners are there if you need them, but in no way intrusive. It is a good base to explore from, and yet it is a delightful place to just relax in. Plenty of bird life to watch from indoors, even in December. We arrived in daylight after a long journey, and were glad that on our first visit it was still light. It could be difficult to find otherwise after dark. We hope to visit again. A very special place overall.

Mr Axford

A very quaint comfortable cottage within a beautiful setting including a pond, stream with a water wheel enhancing the view. The hosts were excellent and made us very welcome with many suggestions for places to visit and explore.

Mrs Langdale

Annie & Bruno made us feel very welcome, we loved the thoughtful finishing touches like the beautiful vase of flowers from the garden and the delicious cream team. We were looking forward to spending time in the garden and it was even better than we had expected. We enjoyed hot sunshine all the time we were there and there were plenty of places to relax in the sun but also lots of places to relax enjoying the shade from the trees, listening to the water and the birds, watching the abundent wildlife around the pond. We loved driving around the beautiful contryside, it is absolutely stunning! We have an all electric car and had no problem chargng it on rapid chargers in nearby villages. We found lovely places to eat out and when we drove home in the dark we had to stop more than once as an Owl was eating on the narrow lane, it was wonderful to watch as it looked straight at us then elegantly open its huge wings to fly away. Just a wonderful relaxing holiday in a gorgeous cottage, providing everything we needed.

Mr Robinson

Idyllic place to stay, genial hosts, highly recommended. Would definitely return in the future.

Mr Baugh

Lovely enclosed garden with plenty of seating, good views and wild life. Very comfortable and well equipped cottage.

Mr Cooke

Great quiet spot to chill and relax with friendly owners, plenty of Birdlife to keep those who interested and a lovely view with the little lake and valley view

Mr Hall

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings with excellent hosts

Mr Scott

We would recommend this lovely cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing break in a comfortable cottage with characterful features. The added bonus is that it is a pet friendly cottage. There are plenty of good walsk and drives in the area.

Mr Beesley

This charming cottage sits in a rural village which suited us well. We loved the absence of street lighting which was good for star gazing and enabled sound sleep. We were always warm and comfortable and had everything we required. The owners live tucked around the corner so were there if needed. The surrounding area is delightful and easily accessed by car. Everywhere is accommodating of dogs and muddy feet.

Mr Cochrane

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Dieppy Farm Cottage at the end of November. The cottage is cosy and extremely comfortable, as well as being equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Given the season, the log-burner added to the snug feeling, although the cottage is efficiently heated by radiators, too. Very comfortable bed Stylish bathroom with electric shower (and very nice complimentary toiletries) Considering the compact size of the kitchen area, everything you could possible want or need for cooking, if you don't fancy eating out, plus a dishwasher (which we didn't actually use). Annie and Bruno were very friendly and welcoming, and we really appreciated the gift of a cream tea and wine on our arrival. They let us know they were on hand for anything we needed, but gave us privacy. The gardens might not have been at their best at this time of year, but they are large, dog-friendly, and we spent many a happy hour gazing out of the French doors from the sitting room, watching kingfishers swoop across the pond, ducks, pheasants, rabbits and other birdlife - wish we'd brought our binoculars! We're no strangers to holiday cottage accommodation, but we found ourselves very much looking forward to coming "home" from each day's activities, just so we could get settled indoors and enjoy being there. Location-wise, Dieppy Farm Cottage is very much a "get away from it all" break - you'll have to get in the car for shops and entertainment, but Dulverton is about 15 minutes away, and will cater for all your practical needs. If stunning countryside, peaceful surroundings and Exmoor's many other attractions are what you seek, bring your walking boots, stock up the fridge and enjoy this lovely, homely cottage.

Mrs Reynolds

This cosy idyllic cottage, with ducks, pheasant and kingfishers on your doorstep has everything required for a fabulously relaxing stay. The log burner is a wonderful way to relax in the evenings (just take your own firestick or logins auto use theirs for Netflix/prime/Disney etc for a cosy movie night in). Plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area during the day including the beautiful Watchet. Annie and Bruno were wonderful friendly hosts and Annie has a real eye for design, the cottage looks beautiful.

Mr Warford

Very cosy cottage in an idyllic and tranquil setting. There are four separate seating areas externally which we were looking forward to using. Unfortunately the Exmoor weather was not kind to us and meant this wasn't possible. The hosts (Annie & Bruno) who are close by provided a warm welcome and very much want all their 'guests'; to have the best time possible. There are plenty of countryside walks close by and the property is also accessible for the Somerset and North Devon coast and all that Exmoor and also the Quantocks offer. Lovely to come back to after a long day exploring and excellent value for money.

Ms Hunt

A peaceful location with beautiful views. Delightful and kind host and hostess. Cottage is comfortable and had everything we needed or wanted

Mr Cox

If you love wildlife and a quiet location ...Dieppy Cottage is a must. There is so much to visit and do in the area. Lovely owners and so helpful.

Mrs Oakes

From the minute you arrive at this utterly charming cottage you will be under its spell. It is in the most tranquil and beautiful location with birdsong and running water all you can hear. The owners, Annie and Bruno, were thoughtful friendly hosts who are on hand if you need anything at all or for a chat over the garden fence! Every detail of this cottage has been carefully thought out. It is cosy and welcoming and has arguably the comfiest bed we have ever slept in. There is a log burner for chilly evenings and sun loungers and garden furniture where you can relax in the large garden and enjoy the view. There are resident ducks who like to wander over and say hello! On a clear night the stars are breath-taking. There are lots of places to visit in the area, Dulverton, Bampton, Haddon Hill, Tarr Steps to name a few. We booked a day jewellery making at Exmoor Silversmith (Cat Mills) at Little Haddon Barn which is highly recommended but the gem in the heart of it all is this cottage. We will most definitely go back to a home from home. Enjoy!

Mrs snape

Really lovely cottage, beautiful location, gorgeous gardens, wonderful hosts. Would defintely recommemd and would stay again in a heart beat. Very relaxing.

Mrs Hunt

Had a lovely break , pretty cottage, beautiful surroundings, so peaceful . Had everything we needed and more in the cottage. Annie and Bruno are such nice people. Very helpful , gave us our privacy but checked on us to see if we needed anything. Advised on places to go with our dog Ella ( limited on her walking) Enjoyed our cream tea that Annie provided on our arrival. Thank you for allowing us to share your cottage. Sharon, Nick and Ella

mr Gourlay

Dieppy Farm cottage is such a lovely place to fully relax, the cottage has all the things you may need, and the owners are a lovely couple who are on hand to help with any advice, help you may need. The garden is great ,with plenty of comfy chairs to sit on and fully relax. Routes out from the cottage are mainly very narrow , so be aware of that, but once on the main routes, its fine. The wifi is great as well as the tv.

Mrs Brittle

The cottage is heaven on earth and the owners were wonderful and thoughtful. The bird life was incredible and the place a little haven away from it all. The cream tea , eggs and wine were a lovey welcome surprise. Thank you Annie and Bruno for a wonderful time.

Mrs Bassett

Charming cottage and gardens with pond. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, nothing too much trouble. Plenty of information on places to visit. Accommodation is cosy and well equipped, wood burner for cooler evenings. Couldn’t fault anything, very comfortable bed too!! Can’t wait to revisit....

Miss Greenburgh

We had a lovely time in this beautiful cottage - Bruno and Annie were great hosts and we had everything we needed. It is such a peaceful place with a lovely garden. The location is excellent for exploring - we visited many beautiful places for example Valley of rocks, and Porlock Weir, and had some great meals even despite the covid-19 outdoor eating rules.

Mrs Lester

Superb location for country loving people seeking a quiet break. Wonderful hosts. Will do anything for you. Fantastic wildlife on site and made you feel completely at home from home.

Mr Simpson

The cottage was in an amazing location. Very quiet part from the birdsong and the running water which were so right. The cottage is small but very comfortable. Exactly what I was looking for a getaway from it all break with the did. Annie and Bruno were great hosts. There when you wanted them. Helpful and humorous.

Mrs Newburn-Johnson

Mr Mitton

We had a lovely relaxing holiday despite the weather which was perfect for the friendly resident ducks!! Bruno and Annie are excellent hosts and couldn't have done more to make our stay more comfortable. We will certainly return for another battery charge in the near future.

Mr Gowers

Great hosting lovely cottage and a great wellcome

Ms Brown

An idyllic get away!!

Miss Morris

From the moment I walked in to the lovely Christmas decorations and lit wood burner to welcome me it felt like home. A perfect place to get away and switch off from everything. A dark night reserve perfect to see the many stars at night. Beautiful location, view and lovely friendly welcoming owners. Take wellies, snuggly blanket, a good book and cosy up whilst watching the ducks on the pond and let nature refresh you - even in Winter

Mr Berry

Beautiful secluded surroundings very Private nice couple that welcome you and I think it’s too much trouble friendly relaxed atmosphere if you want to get away from it all this is the place to go

Mrs Finch

The cottage was idyllic. Very peaceful and tranquil. Bruno and Anne were so helpful and the welcome was wonderful.

Mrs Lickiss

We loved staying here - very comfortable, amazing garden and we watched a kingfisher for 20 mins one evening. Annie and Bruno were very welcoming and helpful. Loved the wider area as well. Perfect for a post-lockdown get away.

Ms Drew

I booked only the evening before my arrival and to my delight the experience at Dieppy Farm Cottage exceeded any expectations I might have had. I was warmly met by Bruno and the ducklings, shortly followed by Annie and a freshly made scone. My stay was enhanced by our chats and being made to feel very much at home. A highlight, that I had not foreseen as being on my list of requirements, was to sit in the warmth, with my coffee, looking out at ducklings, the lush greens of the fields, and to just slow down.

Miss Hatt

This was a beautiful little cottage and ideal for relaxing, reading and walking the dog. There were routes down lanes immediately outside the cottage that meant I could keep myself and dog very well exercised. Easy access to the beauties of Exmoor. Hosts were superb. They could not have been more helpful when I arrived - scone was lovely - and Ann and Bruno were extremely obliging. The cottage faced a private garden and was very well equipped. All operations clearly explained in folder. Definitely a home from home.I really enjoyed my short stay there and accomplished so much writing.

Mr Keith

Picture perfect setting, very friendly and helpful hosts

Ms Langan

Dieppy cottage is a magical place to stay for a couple either for a romantic weekend or a base for sight seeing. The food and local hospitality is faultless.

Mr White

We really enjoyed our stay at Dieppy, there were lots of little extras in the cottage compared to others we have stayed in. Lovely gardens & Hosts too. We visited both coasts from this base which is surrounded by small country lanes, luckily we hardly encountered any other vehicles until reaching main roads, even in August. If your after peace & Quiet, this is it.

Mr Wright

Dieppy is certainly somewhere special. The owners are really friendly and very helpful. They have created a very special place where guests can relax and enjoy the surroundings. I feel very privileged to have been able to stay there. I would certainly wish to return in the future

Mrs Evans

Lovely compact cottage with beautiful private gardens and stunning views, a perfect spot for walking and exploring or just sitting back and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Very welcoming and friendly owners who were happy to recommend walks and provide information about the local area. A perfect ‘escape from it all’ experience!

Mr Heap

Annie and Bruno are wonderful hosts and made us and our dog feel very much at home. The setting in the garden is amazing and was safe for our dog. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Mrs Biddlecombe

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. Perfect for a relaxing break.

Mr Boggeln

A beautiful country retreat, very comfortable, ideal location and lovely hosts.

Mrs Storkey

A beautiful tranquil place to recharge. Everything here in the cottage you could want. Freshly picked flowers on arrival in the cottage, coffee pods, a most comfortable bed, I could go on it was so lovely. Best of all a cream tea on arrival with warm freshly made scones. Amazing views of the countryside, and what hit the spot for us was the hospitality of the owners Annie and Bruno. So warm and friendly. Could have chatted all day! The couldn’t have done enough for us.

Mrs Keyte

We had a lovely break at the Cottage - the kitchen has more equipment than my own!!! Annie and Bruno are lovely hosts and the warm scones/jam/cream to die for. All the little touches around the cottage were lovely, fresh flowers, basket of logs etc. We really enjoyed watching the ducks on the pond and feeding them, we also have the pleasure of seeing the lambs in the next field and watching them play. We booked this break very last minute to have some chill time, following my recent illness - and what a brilliant decision it was. Thank you Annie and Bruno.

Ms Astbury

This is a charming, comfortable and well equipped property in a peaceful location with lovely walks nearby. It’s a relaxing spot but with lots to do and see in the wider area - we and our dachshund enjoyed our stay very much!

Mr Arundel

Warm welcome by the owner with warm scones, jam and clotted cream. The cottage was immaculately clean and spacious enough for the 2 of us with our dog. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could have wanted. We really enjoyed our stay there and made good use of the log burner as the weather wasn't great. Thank you!

Mrs Livesey

We booked for New Year at very short notice and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by the owners. We loved sitting by the fire and watching the ducks and the wildlife. We had a lovely time and were given delicious warm mince pies on arrival. We loved the peace and seclusion and would return!

Dhr Martens

It is a nice, typical English house. Garden with the ducks. Very nice owner. Very warm welcome with cream tea.

Mrs Hearne

A lovely cottage in a wonderful setting , with very kind owners. Just the place to get away from the rat race etc. So peaceful and relaxing.

Mrs Cleverly

A delightful cottage. Welcoming & friendly owners. Everything at the cottage made it a fantastic holiday. Thank you.

Mr Ward

The garden and the pond is wonderful. We loved feeding the ducks, they are as tame and gentle as pets. The cottage is also beautiful it is well equipped with everything you need. Annies cream tea on arrival was just what we needed after our journey We loved talking to the owners, Annie and Bruno about how they created the cottage and the garden. This is a beautiful place ideal for relaxing and unwinding. everything about it is perfect and I cannot recommend it too highly

Mrs Poole

As I've said before we were more than happy with our stay at Dieppy Cottage .It was perfect .Bruno and Annie are such lovely people .They made us very welcome indeed .We had a wonderful holiday .

Mr Wheat

We were so pleased to have found such a fabulous place to stay with our dog. The owners were very friendly and helpful, we happened to share our week with the Beast from the East and they left the heating on day and night, we were very cosy while snowed in for a couple of days. We hope to go back with the Scorcher from the South next time.

Mr Wild

Practically perfect! Bruno and Annie are marvellous hosts and made us very welcome in their wonderful country retreat. The wood burner was ideal for warming the very snug & comfortable cottage, would like to return in the summer to enjoy the idyllic private garden with it's peaceful outlook over the rolling hills, it's a lovely location. The cottage is ideal for walkers and especially if you have a dog as the Exmoor Pubs are very dog friendly and serve excellent food at very reasonable prices.

Mr. Neuschaefer

A loveley, cosy cottage with great opportunities for some beautiful walks in and around Exmoor NP. We highly recommend this cottage and hope being back soon.

Mrs Seehra

The owners live next door and made us very welcome but were not intrusive. A beautiful setting, very peaceful with lovely views, a little stream and lake - and Muscovy ducks to entertain us! The cosy cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

Mrs Borrows

We loved this place. The cottage was stylish, spotlessly clean and very well equipped.High level of comfort throughout. The setting is lovely. You overlook a large garden, with a lake and hillside beyond. Sitting on the lounger felt like I was in Monets garden..The owners are nearby to assst if needed but they never intrude. The refreshments that greeted our arrival reflect the generosity of spirit in the the accomodation.. There are many N.T. properties and private historical houses and gardens to visit. We had a great time and the high standard of the accomodation and its location contributed greatly to this.

Mr Cotton

The cottage is a great place for two people to stay. It is in a magical quiet location with spectacular views and a lovely duck pond right outside. It is a good base for exploring Exmoor with fantastic moor and valley walks all around. Bruno and Annie were great hosts, with a lovely plate of sloe gin mince pies to welcome us. We had a great relaxing Christmas there, with very seasonal snow at the end of our stay. The cottage is well equipped and we even managed to make full Christmas dinner. If you want to escape the crowds and switch off in a very comfortable and cosy cottage this is ideal.

Ms Maidens

We loved the cottage and the location. Bruno and Annie were lovely hosts and the cottage comfortable, warm, clean and well equipped.

Mrs Berry

A stunning cottage that is very tastefully decorated and well equipped in an idyllic setting. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cottage was so inviting and cosy after a day of sightseeing during Autumn. We loved listening to the stream and watching the ducks every morning. We met the lovely owners who had left us a cream tea, wine and crisps upon arrival and they were great as they couldn't do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely return and recommend.

Mr Rushton

Very comfortable accommodation, fully equipped for every need. The resident wildlife was a joy to watch, and the WiFi ensured our mobile phones could be used.

Mrs Sale

Dieppy cottage is in a tranquil and secluded location. Very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The owners were so very nice and welcoming - we were greeted on arrival and Annie made us some lovely scones with clotted cream and jam- nice touch. The ducks made it extra special. I could not fault anything about our holiday and would recommend to our friends and family. Thank you.

Mrs Tingey

Small but perfect with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, lovely setting, very peaceful. Great place to re-charge your batteries.

Mr Cane

Amazing place. Perfect escape. Great for dog. Lots of places to visit, amazing wildlife and stunning area.

Mr Harrington

Perfect cottage, perfect hosts.

Mrs Wright

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. A real "get away from it all" holiday location. Very peaceful. The cottage was very well equipped with more than everything we needed for our stay and everything was spotlessly clean. We would like to come back and stay during the winter months to experience the coziness of the cottage that lighting the wood burner would bring. Nothing was too much trouble for our "hosts", Bruno and Annie - thanks for the cream tea Bruno. Would 100% recommend this property!

Mrs Nevin

From the minute we arrived we where made to feel very welcome with a beautiful cream tea with home made scones fresh from the oven. The location is idyllic and if you get the weather could happily sit outside all day. There is plenty of things to do and see within easy reach and I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this cottage. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Mr Carter

If our stay at Dieppy Cottage could be summed up in one word it would be 'perfection'. From the delicious cream tea & bottles of wine on arrival, beautiful surroundings, lovely weather and the warmest of welcomes from Annie & Bruno it would be hard to beat. We had a peaceful, relaxing break & would love to return someday soon!

Mrs Vine

Quiet, cosy and relaxing. The owners are lovely with just the right attentiveness and help. We were greeted with warm scones, cream and jam, and wine! Set in an absolutely beautiful area - we were very happy and would have loved to have stayed longer.

Mrs Whiting

Quiet location with lots of wildlife just outside the window. The cleanliness and the comfort at the cottage was exceptional. Very friendly, lovely hosts who were there when you needed them but weren't intrusive. The cream tea on arrival was a nice start to the Holiday. A great place to relax and unwind from life's everyday pressures.

Mrs Frias Morales

Beautiful location, very peaceful. Owners were very helpful and even showed us personally where best to walk our dogs. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch as was wine and snacks. Would definately come here again. Dogs loved the big garden that was completely safe to run around in.

Mrs Vriesema

A warm welcome with cream tea. Annie and Bruno were very welcoming. A nice little cottage with everything you need, a beautiful garden with pond and ducks. A good location if you want to explore Exmoor. We have made several beautiful walks in the region. A perfect place to relax and enjoy!

Miss Ni Aonghusa

Great hosts, lovely cosy cottage with every home comfort. Would highly recommend. It was a great base for visiting this beautiful area. Peace and tranquility at it's best. Thank you to Bruno and Annie

Mr Baker

Dieppy Cottage was the PERFECT choice. It is peaceful and pretty and beautifully furnished and run by Annie and Bruno who are both fabulous company and great hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The area was new to us and we found it a great place to explore, as did the dogs! We would love to go back and will definitely be recommending Dieppy Cottage to our friends, although we would rather keep it a secret just for us! LOVED IT.

Mr Dearan

if cottages were given stars, Five stars allround.

Mr Buckingham

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Bruno and Annie were great hosts and always asked us that if we needed anything to just ask as they are next door. The wood burner was an additional comfort and made the whole place warmer as it was quite a cold time of year. We arrived to cream teas which, after the long drive, was a great welcome. Our dogs loved the place as they went on long walks and were able to crash out in the evenings. There is no phone reception and the lack of noise and light pollution made the stay more special. We are going recommend Dieppy farm cottage to as many of our friends as possible. Thank you very much

Mr Hanwell

We were met on our arrival by Bruno who showed us round the cottage and even helped carry our bags in!A homemade cream tea had been left for us,along with red and white wine and crisps. The cottage had everything that we could possibly need.Bruno also popped back the next day to make sure that we were ok after a severe storm and high winds during the night. The cottage was very peaceful and it was so nice to have a really comfortable bed and lovely toilet/shower room. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was also a landline that we were welcome to use,as there is no mobile signal, but it is possible to connect to the internet if needed. We cannot fault this holiday and will definitely return here and hopefully stay a little longer. Our thanks to Annie and Bruno.

Mr Ward

Wonderful cottage with first class hosts. Very thoughtful touches such as scones and cream tea upon arrival plus wine, lovely. Very relaxing break and we would recommend this cottage. Ideal base to explore the local area.

Mr Walker

Delightful cottage with lovely owners! Great to have such a nice cream tea on arrival and the extra touches for the dog were very thoughtful. It is beautifully furnished with a lovely comfortable feel. The garden and surroundings are delightful and well worth spending some time in to relax and enjoy. We loved our stay at Dieppy Cottage, our only regret was the weather was so nice we didn't get to light the woodburner!

Mr Tolley

Bruno and Annie perfect hosts. Cream Tea on arrival, wine red and white, plus crisps provided. Gave us an anniversary card. They were a most obliging couple, our Cocker Spaniel Alfie had a wonderful time. Mac, Pat and Alfie.

Mr Sanger

Perfect little retreat

Miss Sheperd

Beautiful, peaceful, in an amazing location. Gorgeously furnished, perfectly equipped and with the most thoughtful and attentive hosts who clearly want to make the stay as relaxing and pleasurable as possible. Delighted.

Ms Sanders

Lovely cottage - comfortable, very pretty, roomy, well provided, traditional yet with modern conveniences. Charming, with the brook and pond in the view. The area was just what we hoped for - quiet, peaceful, dark skies, no noise, air or light pollution, and with stunning scenery - moorland, forest, lakes, etc.

Mr Haywood

If life is getting on top of you , try Dieppy Farm Cottage and a good friend.

Mr Chandler

Tucked away amongst amazing countryside with fantastic walks and an abundance of wildlife.

Mr Savage

Beautiful peaceful cottage. A gem of a place surrounded by nature and wildlife. A stunning position a retreat from the world. Helpful and attentive owners and a great cream tea to welcome us.

Mr Sharpe

All you could wish for if you are looking for quietness and beauty.Far from the madding crowd.

Mr James

Far from the madding crowd, peace and tranquility surrounded by nature and beauty.

Mrs Miura

We loved every moment of our stay at Dieppy Farm Cottage, from the delicious cream tea which was waiting for us on arrival to the genuinely friendly and thoughtful owners who made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The cottage itself is in the most idyllic and serene spot and is very tastefully decorated throughout. There are several places to sit back and relax - the sunny window seat, the armchair by the fire, the bench by the pond. The beds are also ridiculously comfortable - we slept through the night without waking once, which is rare for us! We can't recommend this place highly enough - a true gem of a find.

Miss Waldron

Lovely cosy Somerset cottage next to mill pond. Amazing walks near by and plenty of great places to eat locally produced food. Owners were extremely helpful and had a lovely break.

Mrs Salomon

Given the location in the heart of the country, there is no mobile phone signal, but there is a WIFI connection.

Mrs Ryans

Very friendly owners lovely property excellent location above and beyound our expectations x

Mrs Aldridge

One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Isolated and peaceful with lots of good walks close by. Dulverton offers lovely individual shops and the Bridge Inn for eating out.

Mrs Webster

A warm and welcoming cottage, very quietly situated but also well located to explore exmoor, away from the maddening crowds. On arrival greeted by owners Annie and Bruno who made you feel so welcome even providing a lovely cream tea. Will definitely try to make a return visit.

Mrs Evans

We loved our stay and fell in love with Exmoor. The dog loved it too, plenty of room for him in the large garden. We saw Exmoor ponies, red deer and much more. We will be back soon.

Mrs Hawarth

A perfect little cottage, beautifully situated with a view over the owner's pretty garden and pond, home to Muscovy ducks and moorhens. Very well equipped and comfortable with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Warm welcome from the owners and lovely little touches like the cream tea awaiting us on arrival, plus wine and fresh eggs. Be prepared for it to be very dark at night - although a good torch is provided - but the upside is glorious starry skies! Very highly recommended and would definitely return.

Mr Sykes

From the moment you arrive you are made very welcome by Annie and Bruno the owners; there was a lovely cream tea awaiting us, and even some wine and pea nuts! The views are stunning form the cottage alone and the pond and babbling brook give it a very magical twist. In the evening if you sit out on the lawn you will see bats and hear the tawny owls. This is a true bolt hole which you won't want to leave as it is so peaceful and quiet. Within ten minutes you have superb walks, and there is so much to see around the area it is difficult to know where to start; the Tarr Stones, The moors, Dunster, Lynton and Watermeet to mention just a few. The space within the cottage garden was superb for our labrador, who enjoyed a cooling off in the small brook, she enjoyed every minute of it as did we. Superb owners, exquisite cottage and lovely area, more more can you ask for, oh yes we got it, the sun shinning! Will be back, next time for longer!!

Miss Lewis

Beautiful area but cottage is in a tiny village with narrow access roads - the directions could be better. The cottage is actually attached to the owner's house and hairdressing business so expect some noise and disturbance. Definitely one for dog-lovers as lots of dogs - and barking! - on all sides.
