Pops Cottage
If you fancy an idyllic retreat, nestling amongst many glorious beaches, the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the pastoral splendour of the St Davids' peninsula, Pops Cottage offers a great getaway break, yet is surrounded by so much to do and see in the local area. From the secluded traditional Welsh cottage is access to the coast path, offering miles of spellbinding coastline to explore. The sea and sky is a constantly changing panorama, with spectacular wildlife, speckled with pretty seaside villages, craggy coves and long stretches of golden sandy beaches.
Soak up the happy vibe and character as you step inside this cheerful retreat. Sleeping four, the cottage is deceptively spacious, with a practical kitchen/diner and sunny sitting-room with floor to ceiling windows. The kitchen has all the holiday chef needs for some tasty cooking. Visit one of the many farmers markets in the area for homegrown delicious produce. Fresh fish and seafood is readily available in the nearby harbour village of Solva, where the local shop is an Aladdin's cave of goodies, offering a deli, fresh crab, a bakery, fresh vegetables, groceries and beach items.
Take time to chill out in the peaceful sitting-room, where the only sound is beautiful birdsong and the sheep in the distance. On a chilly evening or after swimming in the sea, gather around the cosy wood-burner. A good night's sleep is promised in the hushed bedrooms, especially after a day in the fresh Pembrokeshire air. Take a sunny lunch al fresco in the spacious lawned garden or relax with your favourite bottle under the tranquil starry skies at night. The perfect ending to a perfect day.
From the doorstep, cycle the leafy lanes to explore the area or pack your walking boots. You will be spoilt for choice in this dreamy location of where to explore. There are a few good local pubs in the area, including the Ship Inn at Trefin or the Farmer's Arms at Mathry. Keep an eye out for local musical events, shows and festivals in the area. The nearest shop is the fuel station in Square and Compass, about half a mile away. Here you can buy butcher's produce, groceries and fresh bread.
Throughout the year, Pops Cottage offers an excellent base for a memorable coastal holiday in Wales, perfect for walkers, cyclists, coastal adventurers and beach lovers.

Just perfect. From the moment I walked through the door I fell in love with the cottage. It’s so cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are so many thoughtful extras. Quality of furnishings really good and I love the use of local textiles throughout the cottage.
Mr Viegas
We all thoroughly enjoyed our week at Pops Cottage with its warm and cosy atmosphere and we much appreciated the welcome pack. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, in an extremely quiet location, and is surrounded by lovely country views. It provided everything we needed for a memorably happy holiday, with easy access to the wonderful Pembrokeshire coastal paths and lovely beaches.
Ms Holt
We had a lovely holiday at Garn Y Mull (Pop's cottage). Unfortunately our van broke down on the 3rd day and we caught the bus to St David's and the bus to Fishguard before hiring a car for convenience. The pizzas at the Grain in St David's are lovely and the food and wine store sells lots of goodies and organic veg. The coastline of this area is stunning and we saw a pod of porpoises. Had some lovely walks to and along the coast. The woodburner is the easiest I have ever used. The cottage is remote and peaceful. We had to arrange to stay an extra night until we got our van back and it was arranged quickly easily. We would stay here again.
Mrs Simmons
A comfortable and cosy cottage. We loved the peaceful location and how easy to explore North Pembrokeshire. We loved the Welsh goodies left for us - delicious!
Mrs Braconnier
Pops cottage is a beautiful, atmospheric cottage that is peaceful and relaxing! It's a beautifully decorated and comfortable place to stay. We did a lot of coastal exploration from there and found that it was centrally located for exploring the North Pembrokeshire sights. The lounge is a lovely spot to hang out, and we enjoyed cooking and eating in the kitchen. For people coming from abroad (we were travelling from Canada), you'll need to bring your own shampoo and body wash, as well as any cooking basics including oil and salt. If you want to have a fire, you'll also need your own matches or lighter and a bundle of dry, kiln-dried wood, which we were unable to find locally due to it being stored outside in the rain most places. Don't fail to try the Mamgu welsh cakes at St Davids Cathedral!
Mrs Hunter
Well equipped cosy cottage set in a very quiet and peaceful location with views over farmer’s fields. We enjoyed returning to the cottage after a day’s coastal walking . Most places were a 20-30 minute drive away.
Mr Hopkins
A small fence to the front of the property would enclose the garden and make a huge difference to safety of any dogs or small children although the lane is generally quiet, cars do pass the cottage at speed. Comfy bed. Shower cubicle and downstairs loo needs an upgrade. Nice quiet cottage away from the hussle and bussell
Mr Puttick
Check with Classic Cottages that the faults with the property have been addressed, in particular the problems with the heating.
Mrs Burke
Beautiful and cosy cottage. Had a very wonderful and relaxing Christmas week. Traveled to St Davids and to Whitesands Bay with the dogs. Cottage is dog friendly and a nice country walk without busy cars around. I would definitely book again.
Mr van Leeuwen
A splendid cottage to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Very welcoming and great decoratio, furnishings and equipment. Good comfortable beds!
Mrs Inns
We loved everything about the cottage, the cleanliness, the decor, the beautiful bedrooms with very comfortable beds. All the little extra touches including a welcome pack and milk in the fridge. The location was so peaceful with gorgeous views. Lots to do and see in the area without travelling far.
Mr Cree
An excellent spot to wind down and re-boot. Peace and quiet all around, ne'er a beastie did stir. Cosy, comfy and warm with the 'burner going. Everything you should need for a relaxing, enjoyable respite.
Mrs Lancaster
Pops cottage was in a central location for visiting all the coastal bays and St David's. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the generous welcome pack. We would definitely come again.
mr Lambrou
We loved our second stay here. Well situated to the glorious pembrokshire coastal path. Great beaches in easy reach. Saw adult and baby seals from a respectful distance. The location is so quiet the road resembles a cart track by the house which is great. Highly recommended.
Mr Johnson
Fantastic stay in a well equipped cottage in a peaceful location.
Mr Best
A lovely stay at Pops Cottage in a very quiet area with little traffic passing in a great location. The cottage is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The garden is not secure as described but we felt our dog was safe and she wasn’t left unsupervised so it was not a problem. Definitely recommend and we look forward to returning. The postcode takes you to the neighbouring farm so we used ‘what three words’
Mrs Gray
The interior of the house looks very different to when it was photographed. We found that the radiators did not work. We contacted the lady on the contact list and were told that the radiators were brand new we should read the instructions which is not ideal. We tried but found the system too complicated. It would have been great if they had just an on/off switch. The radiator in the upstairs bathroom didn’t work at all and the one in the downstairs bathroom worked 5 hours after we switched it on. We were asked if we wanted the bunk bed taken apart and we chose no as an option as we only had one child with us. The bed was taken apart to make two single bed in an already tiny room which left no room at all to move around. Most annoying was the baby gate fitted at the bottom of the stairs. A baby gate is great if you want to stop a baby from climbing up a staircase but if you don’t have a baby it is just very awkward and very uncomfortable to have to go through one. It would have been great if this was removed for guests who don’t need it. Lastly, the garden has a large number of dried up dog poo which still attracts flies. We did appreciate the board games and the milk.
Mr Moody
It was a lovely holiday everything went well We both enjoyed it Thank you to your team Simon and Helen
Mrs Saunders
Highly recommended beautiful, peacefully located cottage.
mr Lambrou
We loved our stay. The cottage provide the quietness and bird song as promised. We only saw 2 cars come past the house. Collette from the cottage company was very helpfull with the few questions we had. We had some great weather and great evenings in the garden. The coast and ST.Davids are only a short drive and we found some great beaches. The only downside was that the garden has no enclosed space and as our cheeky dogs like to wander we had to watch them or tie them. 10 out of 10 otherwise and we look forward to returning @
Mrs Miller
Charming cottage, well appointed and plenty of places to visit within a reasonable drive. Practically everything we needed for our stay. It was so lovely to be welcomed with some local provisions and a bottle of wine. Logs and kindling were also provided so we didn’t have to go shopping when we arrived. Lots of advice and suggestions for places to eat and drink, though opening hours are limited during the winter months. Would definitely go back again for a break away.
