Reviews

Clogmakers is a charming little cottage situated in a sleepy corner of the rural hamlet of Treffynnon, less than four miles from the iconic Abereiddy Blue Lagoon and the popular harbour village of Porthgain. Sleeping four and your four-legged friend, Clogmakers Cottage is perfectly situated to explore the north Pembrokeshire peninsula and offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by peaceful rolling countryside, Clogmakers Cottage is ideal for walkers who can enjoy leisurely summer strolls through leafy lanes or bike rides to the nearby coast (a lockable shed is provided for bikes and surfboards).

From the moment you arrive, you'll be delighted with this pretty 200 year old Pembrokeshire semi-detached cottage which combines character with comfort and many original features such as exposed beams, stone walls and an inglenook fireplace with a cosy wood-burner. Picture yourself relaxing in front of the warm glow of the roaring wood-burner on a cold winter's night, as you snuggle up with loved ones in the characterful sitting-room. Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep in the two beautifully presented bedrooms. The spacious double room is located off the sitting-room and has exposed beams, rustic stone walls and a feature inglenook fireplace. The twin room has standard single beds and so is suitable for adults or children. The well-equipped kitchen leads onto the garden-room for sunny breakfasts or an evening meal after a wonderful day walking the magnificent Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The garden-room opens onto a pretty lawned garden, edged with mature leafy trees, the ideal spot for children and your dog to play in the sun.

Mrs Stafford

A charming cottage close to the North Pembrokeshire coast yet in a beautiful, relaxing little hamlet. Beautifully furnished and well equipped. The garden was lovely and enclosed with lovely views. Ideal for our dog too. A perfect place to stay.

Ms van Hengstum

A hidden gem! The cottage is very cosy and comfortable, like a (second) home, very well equipped (attention to literally EVERY detail), and very clean. We enjoyed many a sunset in the extension/glass house overlooking the beautiful garden and landscape. Location is superb for coastal walks in Pembrokeshire. Highly recommended.

Mrs Jarvis

Beautiful, cosy and comfortable cottage in an area of outstanding beauty. We would love to come back and explore more of the area and wouldn’t hesitate to book Clogmakers Cottage again. It was a real home from home!

Mr Thomson

We had a fantastic week away enjoying the surround area, excellent cottage very comfortable and the log burner was wonderful whilst storm Agnes was blowing through. Great find go and explore the coast it’s amazing.

Mr Graham

The cottage is in a rural setting, so beautifully quiet and perfectly located to head to St David’s and Cardigan and everything in between. Our daily visit for a ‘sun-downer’ to our favourite pub in Pembrokeshire The Sloop in Porthgain is a ten minute drive. The cottage is a magical mix of a traditional workers cottage combined perfectly with modern bathroom and kitchen facilities, as well as a superb conservatory overlooking farmers fields which is perfect for breakfast, lunch, dining and serious jigsaw-Ing!

Mrs Baillie

Very cozy and peaceful cottage, away from the hustle and bustle. Ideal for a quiet break. The garden was very private with lovely views from the garden room. All the equipment you could possibly need and lots of personal touches. The beds were mega comfy!! We used the stove a couple of times for chilly nights. Would definitely recommend.

Mr Brandi

Clog makers cottage is a real home from home, very well furnished and equipped. In a quiet location the garden and sun room are ideal for watching the sunsets.

Mrs Sherwood

Overall we were very pleased with the standard of accommodation. Cottage is comfortable and well equipped, and well located.
