Step into the spacious and stylish traditional kitchen with its warming Aga, which sets the scene and delightful atmosphere. Very well-equipped, the holiday chef will be in their element. Move through into the open plan sitting/dining-room, which features a large wooden table, ideal for leisurely meals together or board games on rainy days and comfy sofas to relax in. Light the fire on chillier evenings and take time out in the cosy glow after a day discovering the magnificent beauty of the surrounding area. Unwind in the warm embrace of the snug next door, promising to soothe the soul, the gorgeous inglenook fireplace houses a toasty wood-burner. The family bathroom is also on the ground floor.

Climb separate stairs to the en suite double room with super-king size bed, which can also be made up as twin beds. Ideal for grandparents seeking a little space or parents of older children, this bedroom is located away from the other three bedrooms. On the other side of the farmhouse the main staircase leads to the en suite double room, with king-size bed, sweet single room and delightful twin room. Soak up the stunning views from all four bedrooms whilst enjoying the sumptuous down and feather bedding which await your repose.

Spend time in the idyllic and expansive grounds. Children will love the play-area on sunny days whilst the dog explores the lawned areas. Dr Shepherd

The cottage was welcoming and rooms spacious. everywhere was spotlessly clean but homely and comfortable. One could sense the history in the walls and beams. The house is well equipped with everything one could possibly need and then some. All linen and towels of the highest quality and there was crockery and cutlery for at least 30 guests. My only issue were two sofas which were a little on the low side as I had a bad back. The owner is replacing these. The housekeeper and owner were very helpful and easy to contact if any info needed .The quirky period charm of the cottage lent a great deal to the ambiance. The grandchildren , all teens, loved the space and the proximity to Goodwick and Fishguard. This latter having an excellent veterinary service as we found when Alfie our kelpie had need of a small procedure. As a base for visiting the area and seeing porpoise and seal, plus sea kayaking and paddle boarding. There's so much to do we couldn't fit it all in. The grounds and garden are vast, varied and well maintained and the scenery is phenomenal. The climbing frame and picnic table an added bonus. We all had the best time and are hoping to go back again next year to do some of the things we couldn't this year and Carngowyil is our first choice. One of the best places we've stayed with Classic Cottages

Mr Bacchus

Gardens and grounds private and really lovely with wonderful views. Tranquil setting and ideally located for exploring the area. Think our 2 dogs enjoyed it even more if that is possible. We had such a lovely and memorable time. Hope we can return some time soon. Karl and Saira.
