Really lovely property. Very relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay at To the Lighthouse at St Ann's Head Lighthouse, Dale in Pembrokeshire. The cottage is tastefully furnished in retro 1960's furnishings like Ercol and G-Plan which appealed to our sense of nostalgia and were very comfortable. The views from the cottage overlook West Dale Bay which is part of the Milford Haven Waterway and occasionally, we were able to see the ships and ferries as they sailed into and out of harbour. The early morning views from the cottage with the sunrises were stunning. The cottage is well equipped and was clean and tidy on arrival. It was also very warm and comfortable. There is plenty of good books to read from the bookcase in the downstairs living room and a television available though we did not us it during our stay. We found it was interesting to see that the Lighthouse is still in action and we did not find the light at night too intrusive. In all, it was a very low-key and enjoyable stay which is what we both wanted for Christmas.
Mrs Unitt
The property was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfy. The property being quite isolated was just what we wanted with lovely walks on the doorstep. We ordered a Tesco grocery delivery which was very handy. We highly recommend 'The Griffin' in Dale. The food and service were excellent. They don't accept dogs inside but luckily the weather was really nice so we sat outside on the roof terrace. Little Haven and Solva are worth a visit amongst others. We had one stormy day so got to experience the fog horn from the light house which surprisingly wasn't as loud as we thought it would be.
Ms Donald
this property is in the most amazing position on the cliff top, ever changing scenery, light … birds, wildflowers, sea-scape … beautiful and the quiet a total immersion experience get away from it all, a retreat, treat (with excellent wi-if connectivity!) I would book again in a heartbeat
Ms Harris
We had a wonderful week at the cottage. It is very remote, so be aware that there are no shops within quite a few miles. It’s a good idea to stock up on your way in, as we arrived during a gale and were happy not to have to go out again, until it had cleared. Because of the gale, the foghorn was operating all night, so I took refuge in the back bedroom where it didn’t disturb me. My husband said he found it soothing! The cottage is sustainably furnished to a high quality and we were really happy with it.
Miss Stewart
Lovely cottage, more spacious than it looked, beautiful views with easy access to the Coastal Path if you have a love of walking. If anyone is looking for peace and quiet this is definitely the place.
Mrs Gilmore
Loved our stay at To The Lighthouse - very comfortable and clean. Great location for walking. The sea views were very calming and loved spotting various boats passing by. Recommend the Griffin pub in Dale also.
Mrs Hassall
You won't be disappointed with this cottage in a wonderful location. It was spotless and very well equipped. It's remote and that is the beauty of this cottage.
Mrs Davis
We loved our stay here. Plenty of space, comfortable (especially the sofas) and we had everything we needed. Very quiet despite being a row of cottages. It is a drive to Dale (or an hour's walk along the costal path) but the spot is so remote and beautiful - walks straight from the door. Just come prepared so you don't need to drive to shops!
Ms Glassett-King
Lovely property with the most amazing views. Well furnished, & equipped.
Mrs Reeves
Lovely cottage in a stunning location. Beautifully clean and well kept. It is remote. You have to go prepared or it is a long drive for any forgotten items! However you can get a Tesco delivery! We did this and it worked really well. Would highly recommend if you love a sea view and don't mind that you can't walk to a pub or shop.
Mrs Ham
The main house was a lovely well presented property in a fantastic and very special location enhanced by the lighthouse and its associated historic importance. We were very comfortable and felt relaxed there. The coastal path is on your doorstep and the Pembrokeshire coastline is beautiful with wonderful wildlife and expansive sea views in every direction. We loved it.
Ms Hussey
A great place to stay. Fantastic views. Very quiet. Well equipped and loved the furniture.
Mrs De Gregorio
We had an amazing stay at To the Lighthouse. The house is very comfortable and the location is spectacular, surrounded by the sea and incredible wildlife. Swallows and house martins dart around the cottage and the coast path is on your doorstep with magical walks around the Dale peninsula and towards the beautiful Marloes Sands. It is remote (which is just what we wanted), so if you're after amenities nearby then this probably isn't the place for you. We were wowed by Pembrokeshire and are already making plans to return.
Miss Griffiths
Location was amazing and we had a brilliant stay. Cottage itself was disappointing though and not value for money. Garden did not resemble pictures, covered in tall weeds making most of it unusable & spoiling sea views from inside cottage. Cottage hadn't been properly cleaned when we arrived & there were even dirty pants in the garden and old towel from previous guest still in cupboard! We did complain to customer services whilst away but no action was taken to remedy it.
Mrs Reeves
Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Well equipped and cosy. Lovely decor. Warm and comfortable. We loved the remoteness of it and the working lighthouse just a few doors down! Good location for our dog with a well fenced garden. We loved it so much we booked to go again on the way home!
Mr Bremridge
Was surprised to see / hear a foghorn and a working light house within 70m, however neither affected my sleep or our enjoyment. I wish I had known about the ships passing, it was some days before I found an app to see where the tankers came from. And I am really glad I had my binoculars. Loads of fresh air, plenty to see, lovely walks (some near pretty shear cliffs). Remote. The milk, tea, apple juice and biscuits were welcome. Some niggles, nearest supermarket was in Haverford West: a pain if you forget something but the house was beautiful, and wonderfully remote and quiet. Would like to come back
Mrs Espindula
Beautiful cottage with amazing views. Very comfy. I very much like the deco; and all the effort put towards reducing the impact on the environment.
Mrs Rumsby
The location is ideal for spending peaceful time away as it is quite remote. The nearest village is a beautiful place to visit for refreshment but a car is essential.
Dr Smith
Great location - amazing sea views, access to coastal path, peace and quiet. Property nicely styled and furnished. Some aspects poorly maintained (broken cooker and toilet seats) which was a real shame as otherwise our holiday would have been great.
Mr Card
One of the best staycations we've had with classic. Stunning surroundings and right on the coastal path. Could have done with another week. Loved it.
Mrs Wilde
Liked the whole style of decoration, in sea colours. The theme is carried through in linen fabrics and even tea towels. Good Art throughout and pebbles on windowsills, like being at Kettles Yard except with amazing views, snug beside the lighthouse. The cottage was a comfortable temperature even in November and light poured through the windows, even the staircase.
Mr Symons
To the Lighthouse is an extremely well appointed cottage in a wonderful location. The Owner can be justifiably pleased with the standard of the entire property.
Mrs Saxby
Anything publish you feel appropriate was very happy with our holiday which was very last minute.
