Discover Wootton Lodge nestled in a north Devon nook and set within 90 acres of woodland, meadows and streams - all waiting to be explored! Just a short drive away you will discover glorious beaches, hidden coves, coastal walks and magical Exmoor. Situated at the beginning of the long Wootton Manor drive, this original country house lodge has been fully renovated creating a perfect holiday abode for families or couples with the warm welcome also extended to the family hounds!

The lodge delivers the best of open plan living, creating the perfect spot for the family to come together at the start and end of each day. The sitting-area benefits from a glorious log-burner which is perfect for warming those chiller autumnal mornings or creating the ideal setting for a family movie night. When the sun rises on your first morning there's no better spot to come together than the fun breakfast-bar to tuck into that all-important first morning brunch after the chef has worked their magic in the fully equipped kitchen. No matter the season this room floods with light and, thanks to two sets of French doors, the garden is a lovely extension of the living area.

All four bedrooms offer the most tranquil backdrop creating the perfect setting to enjoy a blissful night's sleep. Beautiful styling, super comfy beds and crisp fresh linens adorn each bedroom and they are also equipped with a TV should you wish to break away from the family to indulge in a film tucked up in bed.

Bedroom one is a larger room with the flexibility of a 'zip and link' bed and a super handy en suite shower-room. The other three bedrooms are all doubles and share a fully furnished bathroom. When it comes to family holidays then we know that a fully equipped utility-room with a washing machine and tumble-drier is a delight.

When a garden matches the 'wow 'of the interiors you know the entire family is going to be happy and that includes the family pooch! This lodge boasts not one but two gardens, and the treats continue with a treehouse platform offering a rural view that's total bliss. Carefully crafted benches, a fire-pit - the perfect setting for reminiscing about the days adventures whilst tasting marshmallows - and the all-important barbecue provide the essential ingredients for a fabulous al fresco evening. Being rural you will also enjoy the abundance of birds and of course the local sheep are going to look on as you play in the garden.

Sharing this lovely location is Wootton Secret Hut (5591), which can be booked alongside Wootton Lodge (subject to availability).

Great place to stay, nice and quiet and within easy driving distance to explore North Devon.

Mrs Wenham

This was a delightful property in a lovely location. The views from the garden are wonderful and we found it peaceful and relaxing. The garden was also one of the very few we have come across that is both large and completely fenced which meant our dog could roam without us worrying. The lodge itself is warm and airy, with an attractive interior and a large kitchen area which was perfect for us. A good utility room was also invaluable. The nearby village has a charming and well supplied community shop and although the lodge is quiet and rural it is within a short drive of many interesting places. We had everything we needed and plan to return next year.
