Lovely comfortable, cozy cottage. Exactly as described. Had a great stay.

The owner was very friendly, in the accommodation we had a welcoming afternoon tea - Everything was lovely, beautifully clean well kept and managed.

Another wonderful stay in Little Bessemer. This was our third holiday in Sarah and John's lovely cottage. They are excellent hosts and always make us feel very welcome (especially with Sarah's baking!). Berrynarbor is quiet, beautiful, and has a nice community feel. The place is really close to the coast and the incredible Exmoor landscape.

Little Bessemer, totally private quality accommodation with an amazing garden in a lovely corner of England. Pub and village shop both very good as are evening walks around the village. We had the best time and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Little Bessemer is a Romantic Gem ! This was our second visit as we loved it so much the first time . Ideal for couples of all ages ! The Garden was just so pretty and was full of colour when we stayed . The property is so secluded , just a step away from the Village Centre . The property is bigger than average for two . Home from home .. every amenity provided . The tiny village school next door does not intrude at all . Not visible from any aspect of the garden . The owners of the property are lovely and friendly and on hand if required . They do not intrude . We shall return without a doubt if only for The Cream Tea provided on arrival!

Little Bessemer is a very comfortable well equipped cottage situated in a beautiful garden . Cream tea on arrival was much appreciated ,and what a comfortable bed. Berrynarbor is a pretty village with a great community shop. Good location to visit so many places. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you Sarah. We will definitely return.

Would recommend for the location in north Devon, the village is lovely and has a community shop. The accommodation itself is great. We enjoyed walking stretches of the South West Coast Path and had good food options in Ilfracombe.

Can’t recommend this cottage enough, perfect for us.

What a find! Really quiet village location, only short distance from coastal footpath, and just a stone's throw away from great local pub. The hosts, Sarah and Jon, were lovely, and all the locals we met were so friendly. The kitchen was well equipped and we felt very much at home. The garden offers sunny and shady areas to sit, the latter being very welcome as it was so hot the week we were there. Lots of beautiful coves nearby for safe bathing and easy access to the bigger towns of Ilfracombe and Combe Martin. Also, plenty of local walks. We will definitely be back next year, if it isn't fully booked!

When booking,the photos did the property justice, friendly welcome , great location, lovely garden, felt at home in a instance . Local pub just round the corner (nice food) . Had a fantastic 3 day break .

What a little ‘Gem’ but not so little for two . Home from Home . The secluded private garden ,at the beginning of May, looked amazing in both the wet and the sunshine. The Cottage is …. oh so comfortable . Self catering was a pleasure in the kitchen which provided every piece of equipment required for the creative cook. The Cottage was spotless and very tastefully decorated .Sarah and Jon were friendly and most helpful with advice on places to visit. The village is delightful , and the locals welcoming . We thoroughly enjoyed the Coronation BBQ and joined in with The Morris Dancers at the end of a glorious week . Thank you to everyone in Berrynarbor.

Little Bessemer is a real gem of a cottage, in a gem of a village! A perfect getaway, very comfortable and cozy, with everything you need to relax. We were warmly welcomed and given a delicious cream tea, perfect way to start a break! The hosts were very helpful, lovely people. The garden is beautiful, and I would have liked to spend more time in it (but a bit cold when we were there). The local pub is excellent, as is the local shop - both well worth supporting. We went for some coastal walks, and definitely recommend visiting Baggy Point. We had a lovely visit and hope to get back again soon.

Perfect cottage for two and a small dog. It is in the grounds of the owners house but has it’s own enclosed, private and stunning garden. The owner was friendly and helpful. Berrynarbor is a peaceful and friendly village with easy access to the North Devon coast.

Property and garden were beautiful. Everything we needed for indoors and out. Central location with easy access to shop, pub and dog walking field. Sarah our host was very welcoming and helped with parking and other local amenities. Our dog Albie loved exploring the secure garden. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We have stayed at Little Bessemer three times and have always had a wonderful holiday. The cottage is perfect for couples and has a beautiful private garden. The owners are very kind and welcoming and a homemade cream tea awaits you when you arrive! The cottage has a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge and is always spotlessly clean. It has everything you need and is just a lovely place to be! The village is beautiful and there are lovely views over the countryside from the cottage. There is a well stocked village shop and Combe Martin is only a short drive away, as is Ilfracombe and the lovely beach at Woolacombe. We would highly recommend Little Bessemer!

Little Bessemer is a beautifully furnished, peacefully situated cottage in an idyllic location surrounded by wonderful countryside. The enclosed garden is absolutely delightful, with many varied flowers, shrubs and trees.

I would highly recommend a visit to Little Bessemer, it was a lovey cottage set in a beautiful garden and everything I expected. The cottage was well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The area is quite hilly but that is North Devon. The village had a well equipped shop and for us as dog owners a designated safe enclosed exercise field. There were plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area and most places are dog friendly. All in all a lovely place to get away from it all .

It was a lovely cottage, the garden was stunning! Lovely cream tea waiting for us - amazing scones! Very friendly village, local community shop, bell ringers, dog field just down the road, the caravan park with a very nice bar and food, also a hotel that does food within half a mile but a bit posh for us with a big dog!. Quick half mile to the coast path, local taxis from Come Martin and Lynmouth were excellent to get us to different places. Exmoor Coaster bus driver fantastic from Lynmouth! We used it as a base to knock off another 25 miles of coast path over the Easter bank holiday - perfect retreat!

Excellent place to stay. Loved the peaceful garden. Cottage is well-equipped and comfortable. Owners very friendly and helpful. Great base for exploring the coastal towns, beaches and walking paths. The village is quiet and friendly, with a good community shop. Worth noting that when we stayed Ye Olde Globe pub was closed, pending new owners, but the Sawmills and the bar at the holiday park were both open and easily walkable. The tranquil beach at Broadsands and the Sandy Cove Hotel are also within walking distance.

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Little Bessemer. The hosts were so welcoming and very responsive to questions in the run-up to our trip. The cottage feels larger than the photos suggest, especially the garden which is beautiful, really tranquil, and sheltered even on the hottest days. The location is a short drive from great places to visit. We would love to stay there again.

The cottage is very nice and well equipped. It is also very comfortable and ideal for two people. The garden is lovely. Our weather was very good that week (April] and we especially enjoyed sitting in the garden enjoying the sun late afternoon. We would book again.

Beautifully kept cottage and gardening in a stunning part of the country. I loved just wandering around the garden in the morning always finding new treasures. The cottage was spotless. Every attention to detail had been thought of and we felt safe and welcome in these unprecedented times. Being in the middle of a delightful village was lovely, the local pub and Community shop well worth a visit.

We would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage for a quiet relaxing holiday. It has a magical garden and is set in the lovely North Devon countryside with walks and beaches close by. The village of Berrynarbor is like stepping back into history and the local pub, the Olde Globe is on hand for a lovely meal.

A delightful spotlessly clean light and airy cottage with a pretty garden. All this and more helped make our holiday most enjoyable.

Great location to explore North Devon.

If you like the happy sound of chirping birds in this tranquil setting nested in a secluded picturesque garden, punctuated by the periodic sounds of screaming children in the playground next door, then this is otherwise a quiet retreat......with no sound of rushing traffic, you almost expect to hear the trotting of horse and carts up and down the narrow lanes of a bygone era. Combe Martin beach just down the road, complete with concrete causeway for a scenic walk by the most sharp ferocious looking rocks and slate cliffs. We come every year. For a nice break.

We used Little Bessemer as the base for walking the Somerset and north Devon parts of the South West Coast Path and it was a delight to come back to this peaceful place each evening and enjoy the home comforts of the cottage. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we could need. Highly recommended

This cottage was outstanding . Clean and very well equipped . The village had won awards for well kept village in North Devon . It was a real sanctuary . Wendy was a very lovely lady . I highly recommend the cottage for couples.

The cottage is located in an idyllic village only a mile from the sea which is beautifully looked after by all the residents who are also very friendly and helpful. The owners are also lovely & helpful while at the same time respecting your privacy. The cottage itself is very clean and comfortable and has everything you need. It has a gorgeous private garden and a cream tea is provided on arrival to welcome you.

A lovely old character pub a few minutes walk away and another a few minutes drive. Both serving good food. Cottage owners, very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Dog friendly; as was the whole area and the local pubs. An ideal place to stay to explore this incredible part of Devon.

We had a lovely time in Little Bessemer, and thanks to Colin for being so welcoming. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It is a great retreat even in the middle of winter. There are also so many places to explore in the area in all seasons.

Lovely Cottage ideally located for north Devon with a beautiful garden and plenty of living space for 2 people with excellent facilities with the very welcoming owners staying next door. Our second stay at this property and we hope to return.

An ideal and comfortable location to explore North Devon and all its unspoilt beauty.

The cottage exceeded our expectations. It's set in a wonderful village location with a beautiful well stocked garden and relaxing well appointed accommodation. It's is perfectly located, only half a mile from Watermouth Bay and ideally situated for visiting the surrounding areas of North Devon and many local attractions. We would recommend visits to the pretty village of Dunster and the N.T. Castle and working Water Mill, Arlington Court, Tarr Steps on Exmoor, Lynmouth and Lynton with the a drive back through the Valley of the Rocks and white knuckle cliff road drive to Heddon Valley not to mention the stunning sandy beaches at Woolacombe and Saunton. There are plenty of good places for eating out including the local pubs and excellent fish & chips at the Dolphin or authentic Italian fare at Giovanni & Lucca on Ilfracombe harbour when you can fit in a viewing of the famous Damien Hurst statue ' Verity'. We look forward to returning again in the near future.

We had high expectations for this little cottage after reading the reviews and we weren't disappointed. The owner was welcoming and very helpful and we were greeted with a cream tea on the table. The cottage is well equipped and cosy. The garden is beautiful with a little stream at the bottom - would have been lovely to sit in the garden if the weather was good enough. We plan to return.

Perfect little get away. So clean and the bed was very comfortable. Beautiful little self contained garden. You are attached to the owners property but we only saw them once the whole week when we collected our key on the first day. The nearby pub is just over the road and we had a few drinks in there but a word of warning . Don't order the food . Just awful!

Very spacious cottage. Light and airy with the most beautiful garden. We had a four night break in April and had two sunny days exploring the area. Colin and Wendy the owners were very helpful and a delicious cream tea was waiting for us on arrival. Lovely beach at Woolacombe and great country walks all round.

If you want a beautiful cottage and garden in a lovely part of North Devon, then Little Bessemer is for you. Such a relaxing week with my wife and our little terrier dog who loved running on the sands of Wooolacombe & Saunton. Thoroughly recommended.

Probably the best all round accommodation that we have stayed in throughout our many years of travelling around Europe and the British Isles. We intend to return next year.

Little Bessemer is a beautiful cottage in a wonderful setting. An incredibly peaceful and pretty village, the cottage has a gorgeous garden to enjoy and there is a very good pub serving excellent food only a few steps away.

This cottage took us by surprise with its modern decor and Beutiful Village location, excellent value for money and only a short drive to Coombe Martin, Illfracombe and Woolacombe or the larger Barnstable , all places we took in on our 5 day stay, Excellent value for money and would love to go back again.

Very comfortable accomodation in quiet location

Location, and dog friendly and one of the few properties that caters for couples. Ease of car parking and proximity of local shop. Most local points of interest within easy reach of cottage. Although the owners shared the building as the cottage is an annex to Bessamer Thatch, they were very unobtrusive and most helpful in recommending places to visit.
