I cannot express how wonderful my stay was. The hosts Jonny and Nesta were amazing, they were so warm, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. As I had come alone with my dog Bailey I felt extremely safe and relaxed. The accommodation provided everything and more. Thank you for everything! With love Barbara xx

One of our best holidays . Most beautiful places within 20 mins away. The cottage is in such a quiet secluded spot Yet close to the A road . Johnny the owner was a lovely man .And his dog milo a joy . We woul'd not hesitate in recommending this fabulous place to anyone . Book now ! X

Lovely stay at moonstone. Comfortable and well equipped. Our dog Elsa also enjoyed the large enclosed paddock. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is in a lovely rural setting, not far from the A39. Jonny and Nesta are excellent hosts and living next door is ideal if there is a problem. The paddock is a fantastic place to just let your dog run free in the morning or end of the day when the sun sets are stunning. The cottage is excellently appointed, ideal for two, and the cream tea and starter pack were most welcome. Although we managed with just our mobile phones, WiFi would have been nice, and something I think they should consider. Overall though, an excellent cottage in an ideal location to explore North Devon and Cornwall

Lovely cottage friendly owner, quite noisy with tractors at certain times of the year, local shop in woolsery is great for bits of shopping.

Enjoyed our Easter stay at Moonstone which was ideal for the two of us and Kelsey our German Shepherd dog who loved the paddock which was ideal for her. Jonny the owner was very friendly and shown us where everything was on arrival. Cream tea awaits you but don’t forget CREAM FIRST!!!! As Jonny will point out…Chocolate Easter bunnies were found waiting for us in the bedroom which was a nice touch. Location is good as it’s nice and quiet but not far to travel to the coastal resorts like Clovelly, Westward Ho, Instow beach etc where Kelsey had a fantastic time running around with other dogs and playing in the sea. Would recommend for two people ( and a dog )who like returning to peace and quiet after being out exploring. Would definitely visit again. Many thanks, Mike & Joanne ( and Kelsey )

Lovely accommodation, with very welcoming owners. Ideal for holidaying with a dog. Good places to eat but recommend booking early as very popular. Would recommend following owners directions NOT Satnav!!! Would definitely book again.

Great little cottage in a quiet rural location. The owner, Johnny was friendly and helpful. There were treats awaiting us - scones, cream and jam and biscuits for our dog who enjoyed playing in the large paddock, sometimes with the owners' lovely dog! A great location for both the coast and inland. Would be happy to return next time we're in wonderful North Devon.

Moonstone is a delightful lodge, beautifully and tastefully furnished, light and airy. We felt very cosseted and looked after. On arrival a cream tea was waiting for us and on further investigation there were other goodies in the fridge. And a nice touch was the locally made soap in the bathroom. The owners are friendly yet discreet, lovely people who clearly take a great pride in their property and enjoy having people to share their idyll.

Great Little gem. Perfect for 2 and our 4 legged friend. Quiet and peaceful but able to get to lovely beaches and walks within half an hour. Great to have access to an exercise field for those very early wake up calls from the dog. Totally secure, we kept dog jn there when we packed the car up. Hosts very friendly but not intrusive. A very relaxing holiday perfect for recharging the batteries.

What a delightful find Moonstone is. In the grounds of the owners home but totally secluded. The cottage itself was so welcoming and the lovely owners had left us a welcome pack to get us started with bread, eggs, cheese, butter and milk. So helpful and friendly. The cottage is perfect for two people and a dog. There is everything you need and more inside Moonstone. Outside space is fabulous especially if you have a dog with you. Pablo our spaniel loved a run around the meadows a few times a day. The whole thing is enclosed so very safe for your dogs. All in all a lovely little cottage. Very peaceful yet only a few minutes drive to the main A39 which will take you to the lovely towns and beaches of North Devon.

Moonstone Cottage is in a perfect location in North Devon for exploring the surrounding areas including the Dartmoor Prison Museum, walking on Dartmoor, visiting Clovelly and the amazing Saunton Sands.

Secluded spot within 10 minutes access to the main A road - great as a base to explore and better still for total 'switch off and read a book location'

The owners were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The welcome pack was really useful and very generous. The cottage is exactly as described on the website. It is very comfortable and cosy. The garden is enclosed and very safe and private for anyone visiting with a dog. Our Hungarian Wire Haired Vizsla Sebastian loved the paddock to run around in. It was just a pity we didn't get to spend much time sitting in the garden as the weather wasn't too good . However, it didn't stop us from having a lovely holiday. The nearest pub " The Bell Inn " in Parkham is well worth a visit for a nice meal and Seb had a great welcome. Definitely book though. We would definitely recommend this property and visit again

Lovely cottage, with great hosts. A superb field for your dog to enjoy. We love it here, close to Instow, Appledore, Bideford and Barnstable. Comfortable bed and all the main conveniences. Well worth a try.

Our 3rd visit to Moonstone which in itself suggests we love this little cottage. As always, standard of cleanliness and facilities are perfect for our needs. The paddock is our Labradors favourite place, totally secure so she can wander about under her own steam and have a great time exploring all the nooks and crannies. Great to see Johnny and Nesta, always on hand for any help or advice when needed. The welcome pack is brilliant and the cider never lasts very long.

We loved everything about this property It was spotlessly clean beautifully decorated and felt very welcoming. The owner was a warm friendly chap The location was perfect for us as keen walkers as there are plenty of walks in close proximity all round from arriving to leaving we loved it all and will definitely return.....

Moonstone cottage is in an ideal location if you are looking for solitude and peace. There are major stores within 6 miles if needed, and some good local pubs. The owners are so nice and welcoming, and are there for any questions you may have. I have booked again next year, this time for a fortnight with my dog , she will love the paddock which is within a couple of yards from your front door and full inclosed. Lovely walks all around and the beaches are not to far. I can’t recommend this cottage enough.

Our second visit to Moonstone and already booked our third. Cottage as always was immaculately clean and with everything you could possibly need. Also, nice addition of a new sofa which is very comfy. Welcome pack is so generous and has some lovely local produce, the cider didn’t last long after our arrival!! Johnny and Nesta are so lovely and happy to help with advice on places to visit, best time to go etc. We had a brilliant week and our dog Bramble is missing the paddock already, can’t wait to go back next year .

Excellent cottage in a great location with very friendly owners

Received a warm friendly welcome on arrival from Nesta, Johnny and Milo. Moonstones is a very comfortable cottage with everything you could want to make your stay enjoyable. Very clean and all sanitising requirements met. We had a bad storm blow in whilst we were there and Johnny came across to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Would stay here again without hesitation if we were in that area. Have already recommended Moonstones to a friend.

A wonderful, little cottage. Ideal for two plus a dog. Everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. The cottage is very well maintained, warm and the flooring is so practical for four legged friends. The paddock is ideal for excercising the dog and completely safe for them to run. Lovely welcome pack on arrival, bread, milk, eggs, cheese, butter, cider and 2 delicious flapjacks, and treats for the dog, all very much appreciated. Even flowers on the table. Lovely touch. Look forward to the next time.

Moonstone is a little gem, the website details don't do it justice. The cottage was so clean and well equipped, absolutely everything you could possibly need was there, from hairdryer to iron, dishwasher tablets to clothes horse (even all the instruction manuals were kept in a file for the electrical equipment). The welcome pack including eggs,bread,milk,cheese,flapjacks and cider was lovely upon arrival, as was our warm welcome from Jonny. The layout of the cottage was well thought out and the location very peaceful, just the occasional tractor coming down the lane. Perfect for a couple with a dog....with the tiled floors and underfloor heating I didn't have to worry about wet paws on a cream carpet! I would stay again without hesitation

A well equipped property with an amiable and helpful owner. If you like walking there are miles of coastal paths to walk. A variety of good pubs nearby.

Had a fab stay at Moonstone, loved that it’s so close to interesting places to visit such as Hartland Abbey, Saunton Sands and Clovelly and only a short drive to a beautiful wooded section of the SW coast path at Bucks Mills. The owners were really friendly and welcoming and the cottage is immaculately clean, with an enclosed patio, utility room and nearby paddock which were handy for my dog. Loved the welcome pack - especially the locally made flapjack and cider! Thanks again for a relaxing stay.

Moonstone is a wonderful, superbly clean and comfortable cottage for two in peaceful and private surroundings. The hosts do not bother you apart from collecting the weekly rubbish. A generous welcome pack of essentials was provided by the hosts much to our surprise which was a lovely touch. Hope to return again.

Moonstones had all we needed for a lovely week. We used most facilities in the cottage and all in good working order. Little touches like the welcome hamper, soap and toilet rolls are great and really useful until you get to the shops. Moonstones is just a few miles from some lovely beaches. Bucks Mills is beautiful, and very close, there's car parking too. Clovelly is stunning, worth a visit. Garden centre just up the lane is fantastic, worth a stop. The Atlantic village has plenty of supermarkets if required. Watch out for fast traffic down the lanes tho. Never met one tractor at all, but lanes are very busy. We had a lovely week there.

Best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. It was perfect for me & my dog! Liked the enclosed paddock for exercising the dog. The ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude of the owners. The peace & tranquility of the area, yet easy to get to places of interest. The delicious ‘welcome pack’ of local goodies. I could go on & on...............

It was a great base for exploring that part of Devon and we would definitely recommend this cottage if you're looking for a quiet getaway within an easy car journey of Bideford / Barnstaple.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Hosts very welcoming, lots of info about the surrounding area including maps, food recommendations and sights to see. Very well placed for Devon, Cornwall and Exmoor. Lovely enclosed paddock for our dog and the utility room was a godsend during the wet weather. Look forward to revisiting next year.

The cottage is wonderful, clean, everything you need is there. The hosts are fantastic people with loads to chat about. The outside space is brilliant for people and dogs, all enclosed and very safe. Local chip shop has excellent food. Loads of places to visit, all not too far away from the cottage. Highly recommend Northam Burrows, it's beach is huge. You must visit this cottage and all the area has to offer, it is great.

Every thing you need for a top notch self catering holiday. Helpful and friendly owners. Loved the welcome hamper. We cycle a lot so ideal location for Camel Trail and Tarka Trail and other cycle routs.

Everything was absolutely delightful with this cottage, the decor was outstanding and the attention to detail was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for Johnny and Nesta, they made us feel so at home! You would miss a true hidden gem if you don’t visit this place, really didn’t want to leave!

For a holiday with your dog you could not choose a more friendly or equipped cottage with its own paddock and fenced patio. Loved it!

Moonstone is a wonderful, peaceful haven. Johnny and Nesta go out of their way to make your stay special. The welcome pack is more generous than anywhere we have ever stayed and there are many other thoughtful touches such as ordinance survey maps, complimentary toiletries, books, games and DVDs provided. The property is spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is in an excellent location for touring this lovely part of north Devon.

The location of the property was ideal as we wanted a quiet, get away from it all holiday. The cottage was absolutely delightful with all the facilities anyone could need. The owners made us feel very welcome and provided a lovely 'Welcome pack' which was much appreciated. We really can't fault anything (well apart from the weather on some days!), the week went far too quickly. Thank you.

The property was fantastic, just what we hoped for. Moonstone was the cleanest and best kept cottage we have stayed in, everything was perfect. We can not rate this property high enough, the owners were wonderful and so very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, advice, gifts and overall very nice people. The property was great, had everything we could possibly need, set in the middle of the countryside, so peaceful and what a change to see a full night sky of stars, to much light pollution where we come from. We took our Greyhound, who had a fantastic time, and the paddock was great for him to let off steam. We will be going again. :)

Moonstone is the best holiday cottage we ever stayed in. Everything was simply perfect. The location (very quiet), the hosts (very helpful and kind), the garden (enlosed garden + large paddock), the goodies (bread, eggs, cider, milk, butter eggs, flowers, etc.), the coast (Hartland quay!). The pub in Parkham (The Bell's Inn) serves excellent food. Perfect for dog owners. We didn't want to leave and certainly reccommend it to our Dutch friends.

What a lovely home from home, free from clutter and very clean. It's in an ideal location for exploring both Devon and North Cornwall. Welcome pack was the best we've seen yet made up with fabulous local produce; I've never seen yolks so bright in eggs before (and we do have free range at home). The bed was the most comfortable we've stayed in too. The pooch loved the paddock which was clean and very dog friendly. The owners were very friendly and informative and the cottage had everything you could want/need. A bonus was being able to watch the bats in the evenings through the patio doors and although the weather wasn't right for it for us I reckon the paddock was be awesome to star gaze from on a clear dark night. Although we're currently exploring the South-West should we go back to Devon we would definately look to book Moonstones again.

Great location within 10-15 mins of Westward Ho! and Instow beaches. Further afield, Bude and Woolacombe can be reached in just over half an hour. We were equally happy to stay at the cottage though as it was so peaceful and private. The dog loved the paddocks and the walks on roads around the cottage. Everything was immaculate - this is the first self catering accommodation I have ever stayed at that I haven't insisted on washing work tops, crockery and bath before using - because everything was spotless!! The owners are really nice too!

W e have used your company several times, and until now all in Cornwall, and Moonstone is certainly one of the best and would recommend it to our friends.

A warm welcome awaited us at our arrival at Moonstone. We found the cottage to be a delight with plenty of room to move around. Moonstone is furnished very well with a lot of care taken by the owners to make sure that every comfort is provided for. It was lovely for us and our dog that we could have the use of their paddock (our dog had lots of fun running around). All in all we can highly recommend Moonstone for a lovely restful holiday.

place was clean looked new plenty of space every thing we needed the landlords were wonderfull people help us when we needed to go anywere and gave us the quick route plenty of cupboard space very clean and tidy not like some we looked at we would love to go there again and have told all are work mates and freinds and family about moonstone we enjoyed are holiday did not want to go home i could and would like to live there

This cottage was one of the best of it's type we have stayed in. The welcome from the owners and the attention to detail made it a home from home and everything you can think of was there. It was very well equipped and located and as the weather was amazing we were able to see the place at it's very best. The owners were always available to assist and gave us lots of ideas of places to go and to eat. Highly recommended!

The interior of this cottage exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully decorated and furnished and very well equipped. The owner kindly showed us round on our arrival, explained how to use the heating etc. and made sure we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.
