Reviews

Named after the Cornish for welcome and for good reason as a warm Cornish welcome is waiting to greet you at this most tranquil of retreats. Follow leafy lanes that lead to this charming barn conversion, nestled in the heart of the countryside, yet less than a mile from the village of Lanivet and being practically smack bang in the middle of Cornwall it's a great base for exploring this wonderful county.

From days out on the coast, leisurely rambles along the country lanes, discovering historic Cornwall at Charlestown and Lanhydrock or simply lazing in the garden and relaxing in the hot tub, your choice of wonderful holiday memories is endless.

Once a humble agricultural building, it has been lovingly and thoughtfully converted by the friendly and very welcoming owners who live close by. On hand if you need any help but out of sight to leave you to enjoy your stay in peace.

The open plan living-room brings you together to relax and enjoy some well-earned time together and provides easy access to the garden for sunny meals on the terrace, chilling out whilst taking in the sights and the sounds of the countryside and star gazing from the bubbling hot tub...bliss.

Time for bed and what a treat is in store, there will be no squabbling about who gets the best room as they are equally as beautiful. Both with super-king size beds for that added bit of luxury, which can be converted to twin beds if you don't want to share. Of course, they each have their own en suite shower-room, giving some privacy as well.

Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mr Miles

For us the situation was excellent. We were easily able to visit Truro, Padstow, Fowey and made good use of A30 connections. Also an enjoyable visit to the Crackington Cider Company for real Cornish Cider made with cornish cider apple varieties ! All in all a very enjoyable short break . There was no visitor comment notebook but please pass on our comments to the owners of Dynnargh Barn for providing us with such a pleasant holiday retreat with everything provided.

MRS Hobbs

Well what can I say, This is the first time we have ever stayed in a cottage and wow what a lovely place. The cottage it self was beautiful just like the photos every thing you need possible in the kitchen they have not forgotten anything everywhere was spotlessly clean , lovely bedrooms and bathrooms you could not ask for anything else the garden was gorgeous dog friendly even had dog bowls and a dog towel . This is a gorgeous place to stay we went in the local pub for a meal everyone is so friendly and they loved our dog Ruby , fish and chip shop was also very good lovely scenery and as you can tell I would be definitely going back had a brilliant holiday.

Mrs Davies

This is the third time we have stayed in Dynnargh Barn. We have returned because of the quality of the property, the good and friendly communication by the owners and its location, which enables easy access to both coasts. We would be happy to return in the future. The property is pet friendly and the garden is truly enclosed for the safety of your dog.

Mrs Wagstaffe

This is our second visit to Dynnargh Barn, what a lovely location for peace and tranquillity and access to either side of the coast. We had a wonderful holiday blessed with the sun and totally chilled out which was the objective of our holiday. We would like to thank Tash our host for her efficiency with arrival and departure details. We would love to visit again and definitely recommend this property.

Mr Nordon

Excellent cottage. Very comfortable. Well maintained. A peaceful retreat after days out on the North Cornwall coast.

Miss Hanson

This is the most beautiful place to stay with so much to do locally and further afield. The property is faultless and was everything we had hoped and more - we were very reluctant to leave but will be booking to go back next year hopefully. Thank you for our wonderful stay ??

Mrs Goddard

If you are looking for peace and tranquillity with privacy thrown in then this is the place. The cottage is ideally located to visit both sides of the coast. The cottage is furnished and maintained to a very high standsrd with everything you need for a comfortable relaxing holiday. The owners are on hand should you need them but leave you to enjoy your stay; they also left us a lovely welcome hamper which was much appreciated. The added bonus was coming back to the cottage after a day sightseeing and getting into the hot tub. We had a wonderful relaxing time and would highly recommend this property and would love to return. We would also like to thank Classic for their service from booking to completion of our holiday, we will definitely use them again.

Mr Cadman

Lovely cottage. Great location.

Mrs Horsley

My second stay at Dynnargh Barn and it didn't disappoint. Nearly perfect and walkable to the outstanding Lanivet Inn! Great and communicative hosts.

Mrs Bicknell

We had a really lovely week at Dynnargh barn.It is beautifully decorated inside and was very clean .The parking area is big for several cars and the garden had a lovely grass area for our dog.It is fenced all around it but maybe if you had a small dog it could escape.Plus a decking area for sitting out to eat Bbqs or have drinks as a suntrap in the evenings .Everything has been thought of to make it a very comfortable holiday home.Great area for hanging wetsuits and beach stuff too. We loved the hot tub in the evenings and would love to stay again sometime. Thankyou

Mrs Gibbison

A peaceful and comfortable base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. The property was well equipped and very clean.

Mrs morris

A really lovely cottage, peaceful, warm and very clean. Lovely enclosed and private garden. Location is great for reaching either North or South coast. A blissful holiday thank you!

Miss Wallace

We had a lovely relaxing week - the cottage was in an ideal location for us to take our dogs to all our favourite beaches on the north coast. Due to the open plan area downstairs and having dogs, it is not a property we would however go back to.

Mr Sansbury

More for younger, fitter people .as all toilet up stairs.

Mrs Carey

Lovely Barn, peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely come here again.

Mr Sheridan

A well equipped cottage in an outstanding location. Very good quality furnishings and exceptionally comfortable bed makes for a truly wonderful stay. It has everything you would need, and allows you to have a peaceful, rural break or an exploratory vacation discovering all Cornwall has to offer. Excellent for dogs too, a secure garden and the gift of a ball is a genius idea! Would certainly recommend!

Mr Slim

Our stay at Dynnargh barn was perfect from start to finish. Beautiful barn in very quiet surroundings but close to a village with a shop, a pub and a fish and chip restaurant. Easy to reach both north and south coasts of Cornwall, so just needed to check where the sun was shining. Great secure garden for our little dog to run around. Last but not least, a hot tub. Just wonderful.

Mrs Horsley

Dynnargh Barn is an excellent property, cute and cozy, love the red accents in the kitchen. Easily walkable to town, good food and service at the pub, Spar shop for last minute items and fish and chip shop. Lots of options for local walks around fields and lanes around the cottage. Hot tub was excellent, I would definitely stay again.

Mrs Higby

We had a fantastic stay at Dynnargh Barn. The cottage is really well equipped and a real home from home. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the north and south coasts of Cornwall. The hot tub was a lovely addition!

Mrs Vitler

Beautiful location, surrounded by trees, very quiet and peaceful. Barn has contemporary furnishings and is very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Mr Bracher

A happy warm in the winter property, our dog loved it and she seemed to find the cottage and secure garden very relaxing
