Reviews

This delightful, stylish cottage is in the heart of the friendly quintessential Cornish village of St Agnes. Beautifully renovated and lovingly furnished and equipped, this is a charming little terraced cottage and an ideal getaway for a small family or couple simply wanting that extra bit of space.

The interior of the cottage is really quaint. The comfortable sitting-room is furnished with two sofas; a three seater and a two seater. There is also a dining-area leading into the kitchen that looks out over the rear patio-area, and is very well-equipped to cater for all your holiday needs – whether it's cooking a hearty breakfast before you head off for the day or a cosy supper after a day out building sandcastles and eating ice creams.

Leading off from the kitchen you have a small utility cupboard and family bathroom. Cottage stairs take you up to the first floor, where you will find the most beautiful main bedroom and pretty twin bedroom (which can be converted into a super-king upon request).

From the main bedroom you can see the majestic tin mine buildings dotting the landscape, a reminder of the area's tin mining past. Outside, the patio-area provides the ideal spot to enjoy the peace and quiet of this charming village and perhaps an al fresco meal?

Mrs Rowe

Rock Samphire is a lovely cottage. We had a fantastic weeks holiday with everything we needed. It was clean and beautiful presented. The location is great close to shops, cafes, restaurants etc and a short walk to the beach and beautiful coastal path. The welcome treats of scones with cream, jam and tea, coffee and milk was a lovely surprise.

Miss Rasch

This cottage is in a great location , near fabulous beaches and coastal walks . Great places on doorstep to eat with fresh fish and cornish produce . Clean and comfy , this was my 3rd stay ! I hope to be back Love it ??

Ms Wrighton

Rock Samphire is a fabulous St Agnes Cottage! Plenty of space for a family of 4 but equally great for a couple. St Agnes still feels like a locals Cornish town which is what we love. Small independent shops and galleries. Trevaunance Cove and The Driftwood Spars hotel/bar is within walking distance. A longer walk, coast path or across St Agnes Beacon, will take you to the dramatic Chapel Porth, check out the fantastic cafe there too!

Mr Clark

Rock Samphire is a lovely cottage in a friendly, pretty village. The cream tea we found in the kitchen on arrival was such a pleasant surprise. We were worried when we saw the heating was electric radiators but there was no need. The heaters were easy to use and we were able to adjust them according to our needs. St Agnes is a great base for exploring the SW Coastal Path and the surrounding countryside. There are some great pubs, especially the St Agnes Hotel and Driftwood Spars. It's also within easy reach of other Cornwall gems such as Newquay, St Ives and Truro. We would definitely return.

Mr Fryatt

I’d recommend this property in terms of its location within St. Agnes. There are pubs, shops and cafes close by. Also Trevaunance Cove is walkable and we enjoyed hanging out there. I think the pictures of the inside of the house make it look lighter and airier than it actually is we found the lounge and dining area quite dark. The back yard only gets the sun at the top in the morning so there was nowhere nice to sit on a sunny afternoon. Overall it was fine for a base but could do with a little tlc.

Ms Browne

We enjoyed our wet holiday in this cottage! There were some issues with the shower not working and brown tap water which were due to South west Water. This was handled quickly and courteously by Classic cottages.

Dr Ridout

Gorgeous place. Beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. Great location.

Mrs Vickers

Excellent location on the down side sometimes struggled to park, but property made up for that.

Mrs Harrison

We had a lovely week at Rock Samphire despite a week of rain in August. The cottage had everything we needed. Touches are personal and thoughtful re comfort and settling in. We appreciated the coffee and cream tea on arrival!

Miss Rasch

Second time staying at Rock Samphire Perfect location and base for coastal walks and beaches . Fab pubs nearby and in village . Clean and comfy beds . Can I live there permanently please !!

Mr Sandford

Rock Samphire cottage provides excellent holiday accommodation for couples or small families who want a out of the way location to explore Cornwall. Situated in the small village of St Agnes, you are literally located to get anywhere in Cornwall within 2 hours. The cottage is incredibly well maintained, has all conveniences that anybody would need (dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi etc) and is simply one of the best that we've ever used in the County. Would highly recommend to all

Mr Murley

We loved our stay here. The location is perfect for exploring and very handy for the village.

Mr Burgess

Good location for heart of village. Very spacious for a 2 bedroom property. Outstanding cleanliness. No problem parking on road outside. We had a fantastic week and would highly recommend Rock Samphire.

Mr McGoff

Lovely home from home, great location. Beautiful village.

Ms Lovejoy

This cottage is very well situated with easy walking access to the vibrant and friendly village, the local shop, the pub, the beach and a small garden where you can walk your dog. Albeit those with walking difficulties may struggle with the hills. The cottage is well maintained, well furnished and very well stocked taking into account the unique needs of a young family and those with pooches!

Mrs Stevenson

Lovely clean, cosy cottage with very comfy beds! Very well equipped kitchen but close enough to takeaways (Cornish Pizza is delicious- just order well in advance!) and pubs/restaurants if you’re not up for cooking! Would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Mr Gardner

Rock Samphire is the perfect cottage for a stay in the wonderful St Agnes. It is literally a couple of minutes stroll to all of the amenities available in the village. These include great pubs, restaurants, take-aways, supermarkets and a wonderful bakery serving the best Cornish pasties! The beach is a 10 minute walk and is beautiful! The coastal walks in either direction are stunning and there are a number of fantastic beaches nearby; Porthtowen and Chapel Porth to name but two. We will certainly be booking Rock Samphire again!

Mrs Tyrrell

Lovely stay with easy access to everything

Miss Rasch

Perfect cottage , clean and comfy , felt instantly at home . Comfy beds and well equipped . Good Tv with Netflix. Near to great places to eat and beaches . I’d happily live here !!

Mr Johnson

As regulars with classic cottage and regulars to st agnes ,we’ve tried a few around the area , classic cottage are one of the best company’s to stay with as all the property have the same high standards, and rock samphire didn’t let the side down, it was fantastic there . The kitchen and was well equipped, as well as bathroom with plenty of towels and bedrooms with plenty of hanging /folding space..

Miss Twaites

Lovely cottage with everything we needed excellent village location.

Mrs Abbott

Lovely cottage in the heart of St Agnes- everthing you need for a very comfortable stay

Miss Ramsden

I am the pickiest of people but this was a fabulous cottage with lovely comfy beds and big bedrooms. Extremely well equipped in the kitchen with everything you need, and the other half loved the big TV and the huge settee. Only downside is limited parking and the house is on a very steep hill.

Mrs Blandin

Excellent stay, great cottage for its comfort and location. We also appreciated the owner’s attentions. Highly recommend.
