Rooky's Nook

We have had a wonderful week at Rooky's Nook. The cottage is extremely comfortable in a rural, peaceful location. The additional touches of fresh flowers and a cream tea were very welcome. We will definitely return!

The best cottage we have ever stayed in in a lifetime of cottage vacations. All was perfect. Rooky's Nook has a place in our hearts and made our holiday to this part of North Cornwall perfect. Don't hesitate to book...you will not be disappointed.

A charming, cosy, well equipped cottage set in delightful grounds. Blissfully secluded yet within easy reach of many of Cornwall’s most iconic beaches, walks and villages. You (and your dog) will not be disappointed!

Excellent accommodation with beautiful garden.

We love Rooky’s Nook in any season. The cream tea was a nice touch and the house had been decorated with a Christmas tree.

A beautiful comfortable cottage in a countryside location. Although this cottage is a one bedroom cottage, it has very generous proportioned rooms which was a nice surprise. The private garden was also a delight to spend time relaxing in after our days out exploring. We felt confident as it was very secure. Our springer spaniel particularly enjoyed it with her nose close to the ground at all times !! Classic cottages made us aware of a dish washer malfunction, this was rectified prior to our arrival. Not a game changer, however many thanks for pursuing this on our behalf. We found Rooky’s Nook to have everything we required in a cottage rental. My only negative is the arrival time of 4pm which changed during the covid19 period in relation to additional cleaning requirements. Given the fact that the cottage is to be vacated at 10am, this is a window of 6hrs of cleaning and any required maintenance. A review of such late arrival times surely is not an unreasonable ask and should be a consideration for guests, particularly over the winter months when the days are shorter. Having said that, we will definitely book again with classic cottages and hopefully return in the future to this beautiful cottage.

An exceptional website, easy to use with great photos, descriptions and reviews. Classic cottages is now my go to site for holidays, not only is the website good but so far every cottage we have stayed in has been of very good quality. It is so reassuring to use a company who give this high a level of service without being exorbitantly expensive. We have stayed in Classic cottages for several years, three cottages this year already and hope to book more! A testament to your level of excellence.

Small cottage with very low ceilings. A nice dog friendly garden but nothing left for the dog such as towel or bowl even though we were charged for the dog. Dishwasher wasn’t working although Classic cottages tried to sort this for us. Not up to the usual standard of Classic cottages.

If you are looking for the most perfect, quiet hideaway cottage and garden, yet within very easy reach of everything you want and need, then this place is for you.

We had a lovely stay at Rooky's Nook and will definitely return. It is situated in a quiet hamlet and is great base for sightseeing in Cornwall. The cottage is very cosy and really well equipped so felt home from home.

A lovely cottage in a quiet hamlet - very peaceful and relaxing. We found Rooky's Nook cosy and comfortable, nicely furnished and well-appointed with everything we needed for our stay. We were lucky to have nice weather and explored both the north and south coast of Cornwall.

This is a wonderful cottage to relax in and enjoy. The best garden we've had that is absolutely private and completely safe for dogs. Very well equipped, clean, quiet and fresh with all you'll need. It's worth noting that there aren't dog walks straight from the door, though many amazing walks just a short drive away. Highly recommended.

This was our fourth stay at Rooky’s Nook but our first in the Summer. It was lovely to be able to enjoy the beautiful garden and we had peace of mind knowing that our dog was safe as it was so well enclosed. We spent ages watching the birds, especially the sparrows nesting in the roof and really loved the peace and quiet.

This is cosy and rustic cottage set in the most beautiful and tranquil garden. Lovely quiet surroundings with very little traffic passing by so all you can hear are the birds . Ideal for some beautiful local coastal walks and beaches within a short driving distance. Ideal for two people giving and a dog as the garden is enclosed and safe .

These are very difficult times and we did appreciate the presentation of the cottage and it is very evident that the cleaners do a good job and that the owners care about their property.

Rooky’s Nook is situated within a perfect tranquil setting; high quality accommodation with beautiful furnishings, such attention to detail and a wonderful large garden. We had such a lovely stay with our dog, a real home from home. We would definitely make a return visit, a real hidden gem.

This cottage is beautiful, very romantic and a great location. We visited at the end of October with our four footer and had the best of times. The garden is huge and very secure - just a perfect stay.

Fantatsic cottage hidden away in countryside and set in its own peaceful garden. Comfy, cosy and a home from a home. Easy and quick access to loads of excellent coastal walks and local sights.

A perfect location for exploring the beautiful North Cornwall coastline.

This was our 3rd time at Rooky's Nook and each time we have had a wonderful, comfortable and enjoyable time. We can not fault this location and our thanks to you for your service.

We loved the cottage as soon as we stepped over the threshold. It was spotlessly clean and felt like home from home. The garden was very dog friendly and our dog Rosie loved being able to wander outside. This is the nicest cottage we have stayed in and we are hoping to visit again next year for a longer stay.

Rookys Nook was just amazing, it felt so warm and inviting as soon as you step through the door. The housekeeper obviously takes great pride in her work everywhere was spotless. The garden is gorgeous very big and well kept and also very private our springer ' Boris ' loved exploring it. The location is great and a good base to explore all of Cornwall we loved every minute of it and didn't want to come home. We don't usually return to the same cottage as we like to explore different areas but we so loved Rookys Nook that we are tempted to book in again. Best Classic Cottage I've stayed in.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely & peaceful location, neighbours near by but you rarely see others about. easy access to many stunning beaches, walks and places of interest.

It was beautiful in this romantic cottage and we felt very well. Es war wunderschön in diesem romantischen Cottage und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Just perfect if you are a couple looking for peace and quiet, charm and comfort in a wonderful area ...... with the bonus of a wonderful garden for your dog to explore.

Ideal cottage for 2 people, very private and quiet with a lovely secure garden for the dog. The cottage is appointed and decorated to a high standard. Ideally placed with the A39 close, but not too close, also all the North Cornwall coast on the doorstep and Bodmin Moor. Lots of excellent places to eat nearby and takeaways.

First time visit to Rooky's Nook and hopefully not the last. Perfect for two plus dog. Large and peaceful garden with a number of sitting areas. Cottage is well decorated with nice touches. Location is perfect for North Coast beaches with easy access to main roads for travel to rest of Cornwall.

We had a great time and would certainly go again to this cottage.

Rooky's Nook is an excellent cottage, very comfortable and is has a beautiful garden to sit in. Loads of tourist information present. Perfect location to explore Cornwall.

The cottage was quaint and comfortable while the garden was an absolute treat. We were very pleased that the owner allowed us to bring 2 dogs (when the on-line details stipulated only one dog) and the garden provided plenty of space for the dogs to play in while being completely secure and enclosed by fencing and mature shrubs and trees. The conservatory also provided a lovely extra room that was excellent to relax in while eating, reading or surfing the internet using the property's wifi connection.

We just love it, and we love being there. I keep recommending it to friends!

You mention the poldark inn , but the same village there is the beetle and chisel and it is a better good valued, friendly inn. Food excellent and the sticky toffee pudding one of the best I ever tasted. Dog friendly

Rookys Nook is a fantastic hideaway for a holiday or break. The cottage itself is totally charming, cosy and delightful. I totally recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away from it all but also positioned ideally to visit wonderful cornish hotpots. Fantastic.

The perfect retreat for a romantic and peaceful holiday.

We have just returned from a 6 night break at Rookys Nook. We loved the piece and quiet away from the traffic listening to the birds singing and the cry of peacocks which appeared to be at a property opposite. The only vehicles we saw were a few tractors and a couple of delivery vans which i think were lost. This is the ideal location if your looking for a peaceful holiday with lots to see and do nearby. There are some lovely walks too, which is good for dog owners. The garden is huge and well laid out.

A lovely cottage and beautiful garden in a wonderful location, ideal for a romantic break.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, as did our dog, she particularly liked the fabulous layout of the garden. There's was lots of room for a good run around and games of hide and seek! Loved the Laura Ashley bedroom furnishings and the spacious bathroom.

we had a wonderful weekend of pure bliss and relaxation, the cottage exceeded our expectations and I only hit my head in a door frame once, so all in all fantastic! The pub in St Teath (just over a mile away) served excellent food and was very welcoming, even to our over excitable Jack Russell - well worth a visit!!!
