Pretty as a picture Harlyn Bay is a friendly place with cute little cottages, a gastro pub, wonderful coastal walks and the most beautiful sandy beach. This gorgeous retreat oozes style and comfort, think modern day beach house. Step through the front door into a very welcoming little hallway, head into the dreamy open plan living-room, sink into the cosy sofas and instantly switch off from the hustle and bustle of your busy lives.

The kitchen is a light and sunny space and is very well-equipped with everything you need to create a super foodie feast. Plan your days out whilst gathering to enjoy delicious food; French doors can be opened wide on balmy summer evenings if you fancy a spot of al fresco dining in the sunshine. A convenient cloakroom with WC completes the ground floor accommodation.

The sweet south-facing outdoor space is compact and laid with artificial grass, perfect for little ones to play on (the garden wall is low so please do watch children and dogs). Polmark Beach Cottage guests also have use of a barbecue area, which is shared with the other guests.

Climb the stairs and choose from three beautiful bedrooms, each dressed to impress. The main bedroom offers an oasis of calm with a king-size bed and en suite shower-room. Bedrooms two and three are both vibrant and striking. The bed in the second room can be configured as either a king-size double or small twin beds, and we feel sure the children will love the bunk-beds in the third bedroom. Two of the bedrooms boast lovely sea views. The contemporary family bathroom is also located on this floor, with a bath and fitted shower. With a passion for style, Cowan's owner has created beautiful interiors.

Lovely comfortable cottage with views out to sea and across countryside. Well placed for walks to the magnificent beach and SW Coast Path. Not far from the bus stop so able to avoid parking charges in popular destinations! St Merryn is just down the road with an excellent baker, food store and chippy. A great place to stay and dogs are made welcome ??!

We’ve just come back from a stay in the lovely cottage, Cowan - 4 adults and a dog. What a wonderful place to base ourselves and a real home from home, from the lovely furniture, well appointed kitchen and sun trap back garden space. We took a dog with us and this place was also perfect as it had a communal shared area with other cottages, with an outdoor shower, washing line and dog bins. I can’t recommend Cowan highly enough as a place to stay - its location was perfect for us being 3 minutes walk to the fab beach and 5 minutes to get to the coastal path. Comfortable cottage and good location. But the development where the cottage is , is not finished yet and the builders turn up every morning at 7.30 am ! They are very noisy and there is 10 + vans all over the place not very relaxing!

The beach near the cottage is beautiful if a little busy on sunny summer days. However if you book this cottage please be aware that the outdoor seating area looks out onto a carpark and that the third bedroom is really only suitable for younger children.
