Set on the cliffs of the stunning coastline above Porth beach and Lusty Glaze, enjoy listening to the crashing waves on the shore from this lovely mid terrace holiday abode. Located on this stunning headland, it is only short walk on the coast path down to the golden sands of Porth beach.

Opening the front door to the entrance hall you are greeted by a light and bright property; take the stairs up to the open plan living space which is subtly furnished in coastal soft greys and yellows. You can enjoy glimpses of the sea from the sitting-area window and keep the windows open and listen to the crashing waves. The large sofas are perfect for you all to kick back and relax together after a day on the beach, the dining-area looks out to the private balcony where you can sit in the sun with your morning coffee and admire the view. The kitchen is compact, however equipped to a good standard with all you may need to cook up something rather special.

Take the stairs down to the ground floor; here you will find three double bedrooms and family shower-room along with access to the outside area. The principal bedroom has a comfy double bed and of course a fabulous en suite shower-room along with patio doors that open to your private decked area and shared grassy lawn. Bedroom two has 'zip and link' beds to provide flexibility for your party and an extra child can be accommodated on a fold out bed. This bedroom also has patio doors leading onto a decked area. Bedroom three is tucked away at the back of the house and has a lovely double bed, there is a family shower-room on this floor too.

The outside space at Puffin is lovely, you have a private balcony on the first floor with side views down to the beach where you can enjoy the sunshine and a coffee. If you want space for everyone to be together enjoy your own decked area with a picnic bench which leads to the shared lawn area which is shared by the properties in the row with lovely sea views and perfect for the dog to have a run around or the kids to kick a football.

Puffin is situated within the grounds of the Glendorgal Hotel, with around 17 acres of private (and gated) headland. This attractive property sits in a quiet cul-de-sac of purpose-built holiday homes.

Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs WARREN

Nice property in a really great location where you can walk to everything. Host really friendly and helpful when we asked for an earlier check in.

Mr Price

Lovely cottage in an ideal location for walking into Newquay itself but especially to get to Porth Beach. The cottage was clean and tidy with all the things you would have at home. We were there for the first week in June and although there were plenty of people around it was very quiet. Great for people of all ages. Would definitely recommend if you want somewhere close to all the action available in Newquay and it’s wonderful beaches, but far enough away to have a bit of peace and quiet (except for the seagulls) but you can’t escape them at the seaside!!

Mrs Jones

The website was easy to use for browsing and booking.

Miss vale

Very good location for the beautiful lusty glaze beach which is walking distance. Also not too far too walk into Newquay

Mr McCaul

Inside the property was okay, outside was a complete different story, we expected the garden as shown in the pictures as advertised but most disappointingly it wasn't. We had no enclosed garden which we expected as we had 2 small dogs, nowhere for them to be outside, we expected to be overlooking the ocean as per the advertisement, but instead we had a row of houses blocking our view. Also the area outside was very rundown. Overall not a pleasant experience and poor value for money.

Miss Sandom

Lovely place to stay, with views of the sea and a spacious living area. Nice walks along the cliff path or down into Porth. Great place. We’re looking to see when we can come again!

Mr Horseman

2 Glendorgal is a fabulous house in a beautiful location, with stunning views. The whole experience from booking to arriving & the whole stay were fantastic. Would definitely return.

Mr Aspinall

Lovely property in an ideal location for Porth Beach and just outside of Newquay to be nice and quiet. The cottage was spotless, modern and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a great stay.

Mr Greenwood

Very comfortable and cosy enjoyed the location and our one week stay.

Mrs Humphries

Absolutely lovely property, perfect for what we needed and had pretty much everything we needed. Brilliant location and easy access. Great communication from hosts too!

Mr Anderson

The propery was stunning, with amazing views. The decor was modern and stylish and the place was spotlessly clean. We had an awkward arrival times and the owners were so helpful and quick to communicate. We stayed at the property as we were getting married close by and the owners left us a touching note and gift which was beyond lovely, we will be staying here again in the future for our annversaries. Highly recommended.

Mr Oakley

A superbly located and well kept cottage that I would encourage everyone to visit.

MRS BRANNIGAN

Great home in a lovely location. A few mins walk to Porth beach and stunning sunsets towards Newquay. We loved our stay here.

Mrs Halliwell

Fantastic location, all amenities you could need available in the property. We have stayed for the last 5 years and thoroughly enjoy our time here.

Mrs Chandler

The accommodation was clean, comfortable and cosy thank you. We had a lovely stay.

Mrs Axton

The cottage is superb . Lovely views and exceptionally clean and comfortable . Our stay was enjoyable throughout. We would only improve it by having the comfort of a slightly larger bed . The double was just a bit small for us.. notwithstanding that we would definitely return. Every attention to detail regarding cleanliness and safety had been considered . Thank you .

Mr Bailey

Liked: Location very good for access to beaches and other areas. Not so happy about: Not ideal for dogs. Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms but they are only access to decked area which is not dog secure so dog has been taken out for a walk every time they need to go out.

Miss Clarke

Lovely house, clean and tidy with a beautiful view from the windows upstairs. However the surrounding houses made us feel a bit hemmed in.

Mrs Buscombe

A cosy summer cottage

Mrs Cross

The location of this property so close to two of Newquay’s stunning beaches Lusty Glaze and Porth was ideal for our family. We were pleased to be able to take our dogs onto Lusty Glaze beach and enjoyed walking them over Porth beach in the morning and evening. Comfortable beds, pillows, sofas and sufficient places for all 6 guests to sit comfortably made all the difference to our enjoyment of this holiday property.

Mrs Pal

The cottage was lovely and in a great location with excellent views. Many beaches are nearby, our favourite bein the Lusty Glaze beach. The cottage was well equipped and we had a very relaxing stay. Making the booking with Classic cottages was easy and I am glad we chose to book with them. I would not hesitate to book this cottage again. Thank you Rick and Classic cottages for a lovely stay.
