The Dairy
The Dairy is a truly fabulous, reverse level barn that has been styled with a luxurious contemporary feel that exudes calm and relaxation throughout each room, you will instantly feel at home. The cherry on the top must be that you are only a short drive from Widemouth Bay and the coastal town of Bude where you can enjoy miles of golden sandy beaches and walks along the dramatic north coast footpaths. This barn is set to become a firm favourite with both families and couples looking for that perfect luxury holiday retreat.
This converted semi-detached barn offers contemporary styling throughout with no detail overlooked. Being reverse level, you enter into the hallway on the ground floor leading to all three bedrooms and the family bathroom. The double bedroom benefits from a king-size bed, dual-aspect windows that flood the bedroom with light and an en suite shower-room.
Stairs lead up to the kitchen/diner and separate sitting-room, both rooms are impressive with double vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and stonework. The Velux windows not only add to the sense of space but allow the rooms to bathe in light. The barn really does showcase the carefully thought through design and the joy of social living with seating areas for everyone to enjoy.
The kitchen is equipped to cook up a storm and the dining-area offers enough seating for at least six people and maybe more if you have friends or family in the local area. The sitting-room is separated by a solid and glass wall allowing for both areas to be separate but also to let the light to flood the main living area. On those warmer evenings there is also a balcony door that can be opened to keep a cool breeze blowing through as you sit back and enjoy a film on the Smart TV.
The back garden is fully enclosed and will offer the perfect area for al fresco dining whilst the children and family dog enjoy the lawned area (although the neighbouring barn sits to the side of The Dairy, the garden for this barn is on the other side and not adjacent to the garden fence). As the sun sets why not toast some marshmallows on the fire-pit and enjoy the simple things in life. For shade there will be a sun sail added above the dining-area and no garden is complete without a barbecue for those easy meals following a full day at the beach or a long hike along the coast path.

This contemporary barn conversion with plenty of space and modern conveniences was much appreciated not least that it was set in a quiet location with countryside views from the patio. A great spot from which it was easy to access South West Coast paths, beaches and things to do on wet days e.g. Rebel cinema, Rectory Tearooms at Morenstow. Lovely housekeeper who responded quickly and helpfully to our queries.

We were just two mature adults with a small dog, stayed for a week. It is so quiet, and a really lovely spacious house with a John Lewis’s look and feel, with classy furnishings and loads of pieces of art. With a Fantastic kitchen and so much stuff for good cooks. The pictures don’t show the true size of the large living areas all upstairs. The bed linen is really nice and the owner was very generous to leave lots of extras. The Garden is dog safe and the parking easy. The neighbours couldn’t be seen or heard.

We have just had a wonderful two-week stay at the Dairy. Where to start? The house was very well equipped, with plenty of room for a large family (we have three kids aged 7-15, so need indoor space!) Lots of comfortable beds, and seating, inside and out. The kids loved the hammock (when the sun managed to come out), and there were horses in a neighbouring field, with lovely owners who allowed our kids to spend a bit of time feeding and petting their animals. There was lots of parking around the property as well, and it wasn't difficult to find at all. Highlights were our visits to Bude (just 10-15 minutes away), Tintagel (which was very busy and touristy, but still worth the visit), and the Hidden Valley puzzle park, which we all enjoyed and would return to. The house was spotless when we arrived, and the housekeeper was very helpful when we contacted her. Would definitely recommend this property for a family holiday. It felt like a home from home.

Beautiful accommodation.
Mrs Owen
Lovely barn, clean comfortable and a gorgeous place to stay. Very handy for Widemouth Beaxg and Bude but quiet and away from the crowds.
Mrs Coombes
A very pleasant and stylish cottage which the whole family loved. The beds were very comfortable. The location was very convenient to get to local attractions and beaches.

****DO NOT STAY HERE**** While this cottage is beautiful on the eye, what cannot be overstated enough was the repugnant smell of dog urine that greeted us upon entry, originating from the master bedroom and drifting through into the hallway and bathroom. The housekeeper (whom we contacted) was most apologetic, stating she felt physically sick herself upon entry into the cottage, and how she'd hoped that after scrubbing the carpets and leaving all the windows open it would alleviate the odour. To our astonishment, despite a sign asking guests to "please clean up after your pooch", and clear instructions that pets weren't permitted in the bedrooms, the irony was that it was the owner staying here before us with a dog she was looking after that was responsible for the smell. How despicable that it is deemed suitable to a let a property of that condition out for any amount of money, let alone what we paid. Classic Cottages were most apologetic and to be fair were really communicative with us. Originally we were told the owner suggested the odour could be from the drain, and then that the carpets had been shampooed after her stay. A load of gobbledygook that didn't sit well with us. The owner then apparently acknowledged that the carpets needed to be changed, but that should have been done prior to accepting our booking and payment, only to have to sleep in the second bedroom on single beds pushed together. After our return, we were then told a plumber had attributed the problem to a drain, but when i asked to see the plumbers report the owner was unwilling to cooperate, leading me to believe this was untrue. We are currently in the process of contacting enviromental health regardign this property. Absolutely disgusting!!

This cottage was even more than home from home, exceptional in every way. Great location, quiet but the beautiful north coast beaches, coastal paths and local pubs etc easy to access.
Mrs Welfare
The Dairy is beautifully fitted out and in a lovely peaceful location. We appreciated the use of frosted glass, stonework and fencing to make the individual properties as private as possible. It has a decent sized fenced garden and nice terrace ideal for enjoying sundowners. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious with a super large table perfect for all the family to sit around with space to plug in laptops etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Mrs Harris
A lovely well thought out cottage which provided the perfect jumping off point to enjoy all that the area had to offer.
Mr Woods
A stunning property with exceptional finishes and character throughout. Very well equipped kitchen. The pictures do not do it justice! Short drive to beaches and shops.
