Reviews

Residing in a wonderful tranquil location, with far reaching views across flowing meadows and fields out to sea, this stylish eco-friendly retreat sits within easy reach of the beaches, fishing villages and clifftop walks on the north Cornish coast.

With splendid attention to detail, the owners have taken the utmost care to present an exceptional holiday home which has also been awarded the REST Gold accreditation award (responsible, ethical and sustainable tourism). The interiors are light and inviting, with the most delightful touches throughout; wonderful artwork, a fabulous selection of house plants and windows that perfectly frame the stunning view - you'll be smitten from the minute you arrive.

The relaxing sitting-room invites you to laze away with a good book or fire up the wood-burning stove on chillier days to catch a holiday film, all the while keeping your eye on that wonderful view from the floor to ceiling window before you. Here you can head out to the sunny terrace to fire up the barbecue and enjoy meals in the best of the Cornish sunshine, but if the weather is against you, the modern kitchen/dining-room is such a delight. Sleek and stylish, preparing the holiday meals will be anything but a chore and for those who don't want to cook, you can pitch up at the breakfast-bar and keep the chef entertained. When it's time for bed, head up the stairs to three gorgeous bedrooms. Two are on the first floor sharing a shower-room and the third, with its own en suite shower-room, is off the half-landing next to the sitting-room, ideal for those who want a little more privacy.

The Glebe stands majestically in a beautiful garden; an oasis of calm with a large lawn, flower borders, wildflower area and a little pond (totally enclosed so no need to worry about younger members) and a choice of places to sit out and soak in your surroundings. And that's not all, there's also a games-room, complete with table-tennis, pool and darts that will delight young and old alike.

Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Powell

Beautiful house and garden with amazing ocean views. Very well equipped and lovely interior throughout. On arrival, owners told my husband they would be walking the coastal path but a few times on our way out for the day we saw them driving towards the property. Another day, their car was parked a few yards down from the front gate. It may have been completely coincidental but we paid alot of money to stay for the week and unfortunately at times it felt like we were being kept an eye on, which left us feeling a little uncomfortable to be honest. We did have a lovely time, but maybe some food for thought as they say.

Mr Westmancoat

The Glebe is a great place to stay. Spotlessly clean , comfortable and the location is perfect. The facilities can’t be faulted. Dan and Cherry have made it a perfect place to wind down .

Mrs Chiswell-Pass

We have stayed in many cottages over the years and this is by far the best. Well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fabulous views where you can watch the sunset each evening from the patio or the comfort the lounge through the large picture window. Added bonus of the games room. This property exceeded expectations.

Miss Scott

Amazing property and fantastic owners! Thank you for a wonderful stay and we look forward to seeing you again ??

Ms Flint

Glebe Cottage is a beautifully furnished property in a lovely, quiet location. It has a large garden which our collie enjoyed as much as we did. The view is fabulous, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the sun set into the sea every evening. This is one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in.
